  • Hello and welcome to my model ship building for beginners guide This latest video from my build the HMS victory model ship build series. part 58. in this latest video. ive moved away from the hull for a sort time, and now im working on the the quarterdeck main companionway, im working from issue 84 of the instructions and using pictures from my HMS Victory visit

    Hi, Goran here. I have seen some of your videos I can say that you have shown the three PPPs. Perspective, precision and patience. Therefore, the model is beautiful.

    John, really enjoyed watching this video, loads of great tips and information. The idea of using the tacks on the tops of the handrail was genius. The overhead camera and the chest one worked really well and made it easy to see what you were doing. I’m just coming to the end of pack 2, so a long way behind you, but my build will be much improved with all the advice I have picked up watching your videos.

    Nice Job John, but if i may give some advise based on personal experience. In the begining as i started to build wooden models i was using a lot of superglue for the smaller parts. You can work faster because it dries faster. But at the moment in many cases i prefer to use wood or white glue because i discovered that the result is far more durable . The weld of superglue tends to break faster because it dries out on the long run, wood and white glue stay tight and last longer. OK it takes longer to dry although you may wonder if 5 to 10 minits is really that long.
