This is one of my favorite “budget” bourbons. It’s really good neat and great in a cocktail. 1lt is very affordable and even at 100pf, I think it’s got very approachable flavors for newer whiskey drinkers. Cheers

Good pour for sure. I like the profiles of OGD BiB and EW 1783 a bit more though when it comes to budget bottles

It was! I think I’ve enjoyed another bottle since.
I’d take this and wild turkey 101 as two bourbons to drink for the rest of my life.
Throw early times in there too and we have a party.
EW BIB is great to and cheaper.
Also a huge Evan Williams fan too.
OF100 is fantastic. Unfortunately, the price is going up, like all bourbon. It's $30 at the store by my house. Even at $30 it's still a quality buy.
You gotta get the 1.75L bottle for it to be a value whiskey. It's $42.99 here. If the 750mL is 30 for you, the 1.75L should be ~52.50, which is a significant discount over the small bottle.
I had no idea they did 100 in the big bottles. I’ve never seen it.
@@TheWhiskeyCoveNext time you go hunting in L.V., it's at TW. Can buy it online. The price dropped by $1, so picked up another... Whiskey distribution is weird as you probably know better than I do. We can't get OGD Bonded in the 1L bottle here & the small bottle cost more than the 1L does, in many states.
@@motohead077 we can get this e1 liters here. Last time I was in Vegas I only hunted smaller stores and Costcos. Lots over overpriced bottles sadly and I don’t remember finding anything fun. I’ll be on the lookout for those bigger ones next time. Cheers
@@TheWhiskeyCove I haven't been hunting here for long. It's been hard to find allocated stuff. Need an inside angle or win a raffle, if it's not rigged, for stuff like that. What I do find while looking (online also) is really good prices on available bottles & sometimes even on store pics & sometimes just a blanket discount on everything in store; JD BP $47.18.. WT RB Rye $39.78.. Still Austin BP $42.50.. KC Rye 8yr+ Pick $45.. WT 101 1.75L $29.99. Think the only allocated bottle found is Blanton's 93P $60. All in 2024.. The Costco you went to, said they get Pappy every year & they never know when, but some people do. They find out from the distributor (or some way) and they are waiting at the store before it opens. So there is no chance to get lucky & find 1 of those there.
