Really love it. When I take a crack at it I might add some batting or insulbrite. And since I’m lazy about binding, I’ll probably just stitch the bottom circle and flip with a topstitch. Love how you make things seem simple and show how we don’t necessarily need every template, ruler or pattern out there!
That is SO cute and simple, too. I remember the days of carrying casseroles with wobbly tops when I could have used a couple of these. Now, I think they will make nice gifts.
Great project the material is so cheerful and reminds me of apple pie. I would like to add batting and quilting as we travel distances whenever we leave house. Great video
Thank you for this great tutorial. I enjoy all your videos. I’m amazed at your talent and really admire your laid back approach. I hope you continue to share your knowledge and sewing skills with us.
Hi Beth I never heard of or saw a casserole or pie carrier before! Thank you for giving me something new to sew for Christmas gifts. I love your channel
Such a lovely folksy project! ❤️ I think I will put a basket inside and fill it with sweets 😋 Thank you, I'm not a great sewer but love to have a go at the more achievable projects 😁 xx
Perfect! Just in time for a party I am invited to this weekend! I have a bowl that has a freezer disk for cold salads in it and this carrier will work beautifully for it! I think I will make an extra as a gift for the hostess! Thank you so much for this wonderful idea and excellent tutorial!
Adorable...It is so useful and fun & it folds flat for storage. I have a couple big clunky ones that take up so much space in my condo. Thanks for sharing! 💌
Certainly not new. I still have the casserole carries like this that I made in the 1990s. I did add batting. I also made a matching hot holder to tuck under the edges of the opening hole on top of the hot casserole
This is so cute, Beth. Your fabric is adorable. And I love that you use vintage notions. That's something I collect, and I enjoy seeing it put to use. Very cool project.
Hi and such a fun chat! I had a busy day hand quilting and my fingers are now sore, LOL. I hope you have a cheerful week ahead. Thank you for posting and for your expertise.
Thanks Beth. Wish I’d known about those carriers when we used to have to go to events requiring us to being a plate or dish to share. Fantastic as usual Thanks so much. 😄🇦🇺❤️
What a great food carrier. You picked the most awesome fabrics for it. Not sure that Im up to trying to sew circles yet, but Im definatley putting this in my 'Beths Want to Do' folder!! Brilliant x
Great idea Beth. I have had one on my to-do list for quite a while. Must get on with it. Last time I needed to trace a large circle I used an old LP record which I now keep with my sewing templates. Great for a 12" circle.♥️🇦🇺
Hi Beth! That is just so cute! I, too, LOVE the apple fabric 💗 I have lots of old packages of binding that I think I got some of them from estate sales!
Just measure your pane bottom and then add the side measurements for your base. For the top match the vase but cut out a centre piece and a slit to the edge like Beth does with the round pattern.
Hi Beth, great project. I love the 🍎 apple fabric,it's so cute. What company makes it? That fabric would be so cute made up into kitchen curtains, place mats, aprons and little girls dresses.
I love this idea. Would it work with a sandwich of wadding and quilt it to make it a little sturdier perhaps. What do you think Beth. Happy new year to you and your family from Wiltshire uk
This would be a good "hostess" gift. Take to a gathering with your dish and leave the carrier behind as a gift!
I would add a circle of batting under the smaller inside circle. Maybe?
I love these types of crafts! Thanks for sharing, Beth. It's really very cute, as well as practical.
Really cute!
I've never seen a circle carrier...I love it! The fabric is so cute. Thank you for sharing this Beth!

I've got hundreds of bindings bought at thrift stores that are like new. Always on the search for ways to use them. Thanks for the great gift idea.
