    I've tried the proper vindaloo made with pork and todi vinegar - I will have to try this version and see if it as good as the original version :)

    Hi Chef Imran....lovely recipe the ingredients look so fresh ...I think I would never find this in a regular curry house. Many vindaloo curries are a joke. The second whole chili (besides kashmiri) is a specific type, e.g guntar type?

      Thank you Mark! We’ve been using this specific recipe in various different restaurants over the past 30 years so we are glad you enjoyed the video. As for the chilli, it’s just a regular dry red chilli that is a bit spicier than the Kashmiri chilli. Kashmiri chilli is mostly for colour and a bit of flavour.

      We actually did use vinegar in this. We use it because it develops the flavour of the dish.

      Vindaloo is Goan, so it is not Indian or Pakistani, and has it its' roots in Portugal. Get your history straight please.

      The onions I used in the video is basically the base gravy. If you already have base gravy you can use that
