      Remarkably similar results with both rounds!
      So carrying 357s makes a lot of sense, in this case.

    I love this gun, but I did order the full-sized grip from Kimber, which makes it much more comfortable and controllable for me.

      I'll bet that full grip feels great to shoot! It's just not quite as easy to conceal but there's always going to be a trade-off. Glad you're enjoying your K6S 😄

    Nice gun. When you carry it, do you load .38 or .357? I've always hated the recoil of .357 in snubbies but the weight of this revolver has me curious. I also like the speed strip. No bullets rattling around and it is much easier to fit in your pocket compared to a spare glock mag.

    • @GigatonsGunworks
      @GigatonsGunworks  Год назад +5

      I own multiple subcompact revolvers that only shoot .38 Special so if I'm purposely carrying a snubbie chambered in .357 Magnum, it's because I want the extra firepower for whatever reason and I'm going to load .357 Mag. Yes, speed strips are designed for convenient carry and most brands of them also sell a nylon pouch to carry 1 or 2 strips in your pocket or belt.

    I love the look and feel of this gun. Got it when it first came out. DASA. But I haven’t shot it yet. Which is a shame. Lol.

      It's a gorgeous gun! It's also one of the only subcompact revolvers I'm aware of which does the 3-dot sights you typically only find on semi-autos. Hope you get a chance to give it a spin at some point. It's a fantastic little shooter! 😄

      Noticeable kick 38 vs 357? Currently i have 38 in a box still. Lol

    • @GigatonsGunworks
      @GigatonsGunworks  Год назад

      @@sseedragon There's definitely a difference, and you can see it in this recording. I personally find .357 very fun to shoot from this gun. The pistol is not as light as an air weight Smith so I find it gives .357 the perfect amount of recoil to be fun and manageable.

    I'm considering buying one of these. I liked this video because it shows that it can deliver good accuracy at 25 feet or more. Out of interest, how far do you think you could effectively engage an assailant in a self defense encounter with it, delivering a torso hit?

    • @GigatonsGunworks
      @GigatonsGunworks  10 месяцев назад

      I'm glad you found the video helpful! The farthest I've shot this pistol is 35 yards and that was at 10-12 inch steel plates hitting them reliably. I haven't tried reaching out any further than that. It is the only revolver I have with semi-auto style 3-dot sights which makes it very easy to aim compared to most other wheel guns on the market.

    Just put this same badboy in Layaway. Im very happy to see it shoots very well at 9 yards. Obviously skill dependent, but its capable of doing so. I was curious how it would do being a snubby.

    There should be much more recoil on a 2 inch?

    • @GigatonsGunworks
      @GigatonsGunworks  Год назад +2

      I have hotter .357 loads I could run, but it really isn't that bad at all. The K6S is a bit heavier than super lightweight / airweight subcompacts due to the all steel construction, and has slightly better grips than some small revolvers I own which helps to manage it.

    Nice gun brother. Only one thing you don’t hold a revolver the same way you hold a Glock or any other pistol that slides. Nice vid amazing gun

    Hows the recoil with 38 and 357,?

    • @GigatonsGunworks
      @GigatonsGunworks  2 месяца назад

      The K6S is completely steel so it has a bit more weight than some other small revolvers which helps a good deal with felt recoil. It's slightly heavier to carry, but shooting it feels better than other light weight guns.

    what is a good price for this? Best I've found is 900 + tax and FFL fee

    • @GigatonsGunworks
      @GigatonsGunworks  Год назад

      That's about as good a price as you are likely to find for a brand new one. These days, I'm seeing prices over $1100 at my local shops for any length DASA version with the wood grips so if you can get it for under $1k, I'd consider that a steal. Good luck in your search.
