"Surge is flimsier than Zephyr" "Surge is a tough killshot" These two statements conflict completely because zephyr and killshot has the same HP. It can't be flimsier than 1 and tougher than the other. Truth is it's flimsier than both. There is more risk in using surge ability too. Killshot dash doing damage makes it so attacking from the front is a more viable option than it is for surge. Using surge means making yourself vulnerable for longer to get optimum damage. Zephyr has the same risk using it's ability but makes up for it with first a larger stun radius and 2nd more HP. Surge has a smaller radius but the dash but because it has less HP there is again more risk in using it. Instead of being some cool hybrid of both of these mechs, it's a worse version of both. It needs a buff to be viable. But you will never buff a progress path item again, will you? Now that you just killed it and you want to sell the premium items.
True, devs buff those which are premium to purchase like stalker. So that people would buy it for real money. As a developer, their 1st priority is to balance stuffs instead of selling things

I forgot to mention 1 more thing which is that there's more risk trying to get behind opponents for damage because you're also potentially turning your back to opponents. I can explain some more things balance related regarding risk, like the rocket mortar radius implant taking a lot of risk out of and adding a lot more reward to a weapon that was already quite rewarding for how little risk was involved in using it. Before pilots you really depended a lot on flight time of mortars so you kept enemies as close to minimum range as possible. Don't have to depend on it as much with radius implant because more rockets are hitting. Larger radius also means you're more likely to hit multiple mechs with a single volley, and more damage means you're more likely to kill your target(s). Radius implant needs a nerf, it's making the game toxic and monotonous. Every game in tournament quickly devolves into players trying to get the most kills with rocket mortars on maps where they're viable. Oh speaking of removing risk from high-risk, high-reward items. The stalker buff was completely unnecessary.
It’s basically more offensive version of jugg. You can use ares to push on your enemies, or be the robotic shield of the team! Although if you ambush ares and get close, I’m sure ares will turn to scrap.
@@ChessMatchups yeah that’s why the only way to kill it is to ambush it. Unlike jugg, ares’ shield doesn’t cover it’s back and side altho it makes up for not having a timer and having more shield hp
Surge definitely needs a buff to it's durability in my opinion ,starting with an extra 10000 durability and then progression as per current upgrade/rank up .

Very expensive and very very fragile. It would be nice to play if it get bugged, for instance with more HP or with the ability to don't get damaged while dashing
Instead of having… that. We can have surge to be more like Zephyr where it dash and stun everyone within the 30 meter radius to compensate the very low HP. But if goes into contact with a wall or bot it stops there…
You missed one of the crucial abilities. It’s also like a shadow. So it’s a combination of zephyr, shadow and killshot (just without the damage). When the ability is active, it disappears from everyone’s radars like a shadow. So even when it’s in range and you see it destroying your team mate, you can do absolutely nothing with a javelin rack or mortars because they won’t lock on. You have to wait for them to come and finish you because you can run but you can’t hide. Also, another important detail or should I say con they missed is that it only applies the emp effect after it hits something. So if you dash towards an enemy and they move out of the way and you don’t hit them, they won’t get the emp effect if they are out of your range. But there’s also an advantage to it because when you see a mech round a corner, you can just hit that corner and let your emp radius emp that mech. Then you come out and destroy them. Another thing that they missed is that a surge’s emp effect radius is very small, just 15 m whereas zephyr’s emp (and guardian’s crash or redox’s caustic blast) are 30 m. That’s everything about surge.
yep, shotgun 8, longarm 12, and stalker getting buffed when they are already good, but surge simply needs to be cheaper and better, no need for it to be soooooo pricey
As a ks main, Killshot can be the most agressive but I see few people that actually use their dash as plan b. I also use this. To maximise your deadliness, you have to reserve your dash. You may use it when capturing but pls PLEASE don’t use it to get to a destination faster unless you have an implant that decreases ability cooldown. If you reserve your dash, you could use your dash to escape from a group of mechs that will kill you, plus reserving your dash you can easily use it to quickly take out the enemy. Don’t think of killshot as a suicide mech but an agile assasin. Stay safe, pilots!

What about its cloak? Many surges have killed be because it dashes at me then it has a cloak activated? Is that a glitch or did you just not mention it?
Ok mech, but not an essential if you have ks and zepyr in your hanger like most people. I suggested debuffing zepyr a little so you can make a case for him, I suggested zepyr not be able to stun floating mechs like MD or Redox since their feet aren't touching the floor, that way you can say surge can stun anything but zepyrs ability is limited, I think that would be a great development.

recently I was using kill shot and a surge tagged along and I realized they synergize well together and make a great combo. surge emp's them and killshot's melee dash finishes them off, softens them up or just kills them

Hey Mech Arena! I have a really good idea for a mech that I think would be good to add in the game! So his name is "Salamander" and he has a tail. His ability is called: wall climber. When you activate it, Salamander will be able to walk on walls for 15 seconds! He has tye same hp as a killshot and he is as slow as a Zephyr but when he activates his ability, he goes as fast as shadow goes with his ability on. His energy capacity will be around 12-18. He will be an epic mech after Cheetah in the exp. road. I think that's a cool suggestion and i hope you add this mech to the game! That's it for now. Edit: someone said that it's *horrible* so now salamander also gets a 25% more damage when he activates his ability. Also he will not be as slow as Zephyr he will be at average speed. I hope it's better now
Surge is not quite worth his money If it was 4000ish Acoins it would be good My reason is He's not that fast, he's not that durable Even if you manage to stun on opponent there will always be others to kill you But this spotlight has really helped me play it I personally prefer Arc 10s or shotguns for him And I'm excited to use more builds Anyways thanks for this Spotlight Hope to catch you more
A tough Killshot nothin. Surge shares the same HP pool as Shadow, which is the lowest in the game. The thing isn't tough in any capacity. That said, it does have its uses. Although generally less effective than both the KS and Zep, it's ability is unique and can be mastered.
I have a question ion about the game, *I dont have facebook or insta so I gotta type of here* why dose the game automatically target random mechs on the battlefield? I don't accedently press the target button because i moved it in a place were I won't do that. It really scerws up my snipes in the game and makes me frustrated. So please fix this glitch.

Honestly I think surge should be at 29kph it's a scout mech so it needs to be fast, and they also said it's a fast zephyr and a tough killshot, so surge should have these stats, surge is also great to counter campers with zephyr.
hey mech arena! i really love your game but i just have a slight problem with it. a coins. they are hard for me to get as an early player, i know they can be awarded to you with fortune vaults or weekly and other commisions, but i dont think that thats enough. see, fortune vaults have a very small chance of giving you a coins, weekly take around 5-6 days to complete for only 200 a coins and the tasks for mechs that are late game for example redox and surge. which means as a begginner (sort of) player, its hard for me to even get guardian and shadow. my idea is, if you would add missions that are only for a coins. like: 'complete 30 battles for 100 a coins and so on and every week it would reset. i think its a good idea and a much more effective way to get a coins. what do you think? (sorry for long text)
Do events, Do Tournaments, Do Weekly Challenges, They all add up. I'm mostly a Free to Play Player who spent less than $5 so far and I already have a 4* Hangar with Epic Implants and Pilots, All within 4 months of Play. Its not that hard if you play this game a lot and never miss a day and do all the Rewards. Accordng to my calculations, I will have 5* Hangar in the next 6 months of Playing and maybe a 6* Hangar in an Year and a Half. That's considered pretty decent for a Free to Play Game.
Surge used to be a balanced mech. It was good because it had its flaws and and perks. Now it has double the health that it used to have, and it has stealth when it dashes, now it is OP (over powered). It is impossible to kill and it has too much energy capacity for its abilities. It needs a NERF (make it weaker) and it NEEDS TO BE BALANCED or remoped. If this comment isn't respected, you WILL LOOSE a lot of mech arena players such as myself. Thank you for your time

so many people buying this then using it to obliterate everyone because everyone else early game (f2p player) only have lancer and paragon. PLEASE FIX THE BALANCING What I recommend is making it so you can only buy mechs that are no more than 1 star ahead of your gear hub progess

I think surge is good mech with deadly ability, nice speed and medium energy but it's hp is just nothing , surge needs a hp buff and even after that it's so expensive
What Weapons do you think suit Surge best?
missile rack, when a mech is paralyzed by the surge ability you are going to go behind the mech and unload your ammo on it
Maybe burst type weapons like missile rack so that after to emp them get behind them for bonus damage and shoot your missiles

The stealth came after they buffed Surge after release I think. On release, it didn't have stealth.
The Costliest bot in the game and the least used at all because it is not good. Needs a huge buff

What I recommend is making it so you can only buy mechs that are no more than 1 star ahead of your gear hub progess

I think surge is like killshot zephyr and guardian cuz surge doesn’t just stun it also disables weapons
I think surge is good mech with deadly ability, nice speed and medium energy but it's hp is just nothing , surge needs a hp buff and even after that it's so expensive
True the only thing surge needs is a hp or armour buff
Also do a spotlight on the brickhouse it will be very useful
