"In what other situation is the owner of the park also the face of the park" Are you trying to imply that Mickey Mouse isn't the owner of Disney World? I don't believe you...
This is my home park & I’ve been going since before they sold all of their dry rides and it’s a shell of its former self. I’m hopeful these new owners will eventually build it back up though
The wild mouse they got this year is a great addition imo
I went. Rode Rampage 26x, 16 in a row without changing seats.
I'd love to see:
Vekoma Junior Boomerang
More Waterslides
Sally Interactive Dark Ride
Vekoma STC or New Style Coaster
Tea Cups Ride with Water
Fun Fact: Willy Wonka is one of Dan's favorite films. And his favorite song is Cotton Eye Joe
@Ken Norcott Yeah, It's a boomerang layout without inversions and uses Roller Skater style track.
You should do a video of the future of GCI and there Titan track (Predator at Darien Lake)
I love these videos on parks that I've never heard of
I think a RMC Raptor or Chance Hyper GTX will be a good fit here.
Too expensive for them
@@villek3722 how?

I’ll tell you this if you meet Dan or Pat Koch at Alabama Adventure/Splash Adventure, you are going to have a great day at the park.
They really nail it in regards with hospitality as well as the crew operating Rampage when I went. (It was a few years ago and when it was called Alabama Splash Adventure)
That’s great to hear!
@@CoasterStudios Dan and Pat Koch are extremely sociable and will allow you to geek out about the amusement park industry at any moment or ask about any coaster info you want. I asked on who retracked Rampage and if I remember correctly I think Dan said Gravity Group. I also brought up that I am from the Indianapolis area and the nostalgia I have for Holiday World and how it made me into a coaster enthusiast.
Even midway through the day Pat sees me at the water park and waves at me. They really make it feel like home especially since my home park is Holiday World.
Going back to Holiday World after my visit to Alabama Splash Adventure, I was disappointed that the hospitality wasn’t as high, so that is something Alabama Adventure and Splash Adventure has that I can’t wait to revisit the park for.
@@CoasterStudios If I ever meet Jim Reid Anderson he better have the same attitude as Dan and Pat Koch.
@@CoasterStudios Taylor, did you hear? Alabama Adventure just added a wild mouse this year and are already teasing future attractions in the park map.
This looks like it could be an amazing park if they could get the investments needed. It looks beautiful. Like you said it just needs a little help. I love the way the woody looks in the trees!!
I’ve never heard of this park before but it looks decent and rampage looks great
This is exciting. I’m going there on Saturday, and my little cousin is going too. I’m really excited to ride on these, swim, and go on the slides.
The dry park looks kinda like Marineland on a smaller scale
No wonder I felt I've seen a similar park in another CS vid
Looks like a great little park, Rampage looks amazing!
Yeah, it looks elite to be honest!
It’s wild with its non banked turns! It’s a really good coaster and it’s very underrated
It is a great park!
This place was loaded with people before they closed in 2011. I loved this place -- even if the whole reason to go was mainly just Rampage and Zoomerang. It was the first theme park I ever went to, and it was never as good as Six Flags over Georgia, but it sure was good enough for any kid.
This is my home park that I had annual passes to from the early 2000s to right when they shut down the amusement park side of it. I love the changes they’re making to it and hope to see more positive growth in the future. Loved to hear that about The General being on Zoom greeting guests at the front gate. It seems like this family really cares about this park.
The place really does have SO much potential, which I do feel like Koch is trying to take advantage of. It’s just sad that the previous owners didn’t think Alabama’s only major park was worth investing in. And now the place is missing so many amusement park staples as a result: a drop tower, a log flume, a river rapids ride, even a carousel! The story of this park really is one of the most tragic in amusement history, and I’m really rooting for it to make a comeback. #LLAA!
I relish, and trust, your input! I wouldn't visit a park that I have little knowledge of without checking your channel for reviews.
Interesting review! 👍
Happy Birthday Taylor. Great vid
On the water park side, I would like to see a themed river rapids ride like Thunder River at Six Flags over Georgia, with maybe a safari theme. It would be cool to see elephants shoot water at you with their trunks, crocodiles opening their mouths, and maybe some natives act like they are throwing spears. Yeah, sort of like jungle cruise at Disneyworld. A water coaster ride of some kind like at Holiday World. Also, a Tornado slide. On the ride side, they need a steel coaster similar to the old mind bender at Six Flags. I'd like to see the return of the Giant Ferris Wheel, and a maybe a swinging pendulum ride of some kind. On the kids ride side of things, a return of the Carousel, and a themed dark ride with maybe a gold mine with old miner ghosts theme. Not asking for much am I?
A raptor would be a perfect fit for this park.
name a small park where a raptor wouldn’t be a good fit smh

Pretty cool owners! Some of the Mack family are often walking around in Europapark or sometimes just sitting in the biergarten by themselves wearing lederhosen and enjoying a beer. They might be over the top when talking about Mack Rides or Europapark, but I find that to be kinda likable.
I love the roller coaster
i go here every week or so but they need to upgrade the tilt a whirl cuz its a old ride and one time i was riding it and it broke and my sister and my mom are diabetic and they wanted diet Pepsi and there was dr. pepper and thats my story hope yall enjoy splash adventure and have fun and stay safe
Hi, I was wondering if you´re going to make a video sharing your thoughts on the Iron Gwazi POV?
I already forgot what day but what happened to your
Wooden warrior &
Goliath @La Ronde review?
I agree that one of the problems I have with this place is how small it is. They have yet to replace Zoomerang with anything, they have a lot of rides like the Log ride and Rapids ride that haven't reopened, and even the waterpark looks like it could use more slides Not to mention, I don't know of any other reasons why I'd want to visit that part of Alabama in the first place.
This is one of those parks imo that could stand to take a used ride from a bigger park, like an old Arrow, Schwarzkopf if possible, or some other unpopular ride from a bigger name park and give it new life there. Also a Gravity Group family ride would work great there!
I think I'm going to start my child out at this park and has he ages move over to SFOG. The free drinks is a good incentive for me, too.
So I went to Dollywood over fall break in 2019 and I was just wondering what seat is best for Thunderhead. When I went I rode it one time because the line was like an hour so I only rode it once in the front. I could really feel the speed and I thought it was a very good ride. But I’m just wondering if it’s better in the back. Im going very soon and I’m hoping to ride both front and back but if I can’t I just want to know which is better.
Just kno for me the further back the more rough
@@baseballguy0125 well yeah that is true and even when I rode it in the front it was kinda rough but the roughness doesn’t really bother me. I just focus on the speed and the airtime. (Which in my opinion is what Thunderhead does best.)

I'm surprised you haven't uploaded an iron gwazi analysis and your thoughts on it. A point of view video was released
Ahhhh, my home park!! Finally! Yeah, when it first opened as Visionland , the dry park was much better.. buuuuuut, back then it was very badly run and had a terrible reputation. Now, the Koch family is having to build the park back up again from nearly scratch, and all things considered I think they are doing a great job. They really do care about their park. I'm actually friends with Mr. Koch on FB and he's always posting stuff about it on there, it's pretty heartwarming. But yeah, it really does suck that they pretty much only have kiddie rides and Rampage now. Fingers crossed that we get a new coaster someday! Or even a used one idk just SOMETHING, please! Six Flags isn't ridiculously far or anything but it'd be so nice to have a great thrill park right in my backyard.
Literally the hour after you post this the park announces that something will be coming
I was a kid back when it was Visionland, and I loved it. Now that I'm older I wanna know what gave it a bad reputation? Was it just the accidents on the water raft ride? That's all I've seen online about it.
Are you ever gonna do the park battles or coaster fight series again? Just wondering since park reviews are back.. for now
Sweet Home Alabama
Went to park opening day in the early 2000s. The original mascot was pretty cute tbh. I haven’t been in 18 years so had no clue it had changed so much
Yeah. For a park that only opened in 1998, it’s been through SO much.
Well i hope soon as Alabama Adventures and Splash Adventures continues to grow i have a feeling they might add 2 or 3 more roller coasters in the park like one or two more woodies and 1 or 2 steel coasters.
They simply dont have the attendance for major attractions so its a gamble for the owners to go into massive debt for an investment that may very well not increase attendance enough to offset the investment. There has been and still is a perception issue with the location of the park. The owners have really worked tirelessly to change this perception that isnt even true.
If i were to invest millions i would do the following:
1) add a signature family water ride. Perhaps some sort of family raft water coaster or any large slide from pro slides.
2) add a wooden gci family coaster. This will dramatically improve the dry side.
3) rmc rampage. You would have an instant elite level coaster.
Those 3 things would draw in more people for sure. Would it be enough when sfog is only a little over 2 hrs away i dont know.
Finally they have a very short season because they are primarily a water park. More development on the dry side and they might be able to extend their season and bring in additional revenue.
They just announced the other day they are adding something big to the park! It’s reveal is on Christmas! This park is growing and the family is really trying to bring it back to life!! Slowly but they are making progress!
Yes!! So y’all can stop going to SFOG
Rampage sort of looks like a mini el toro from an angle 😂
I think I could be more lively more ALIVE!! And I think they should add a FEW more rides!!
Can you do a video discussing the possible new coaster that is being teased for the 2021 season? They started teasing it last week, saying that it would be the largest new addition since the park first opened. On the same day, Premier started teasing that they had a mystery project. PLEEEEAAAASEEEE do a video.
Hey Taylor! Are you planning on doing an analysis of Iron Gwazi now that the POV is out?
Going tomorrow love Alabama splash been going for years I always get season passes 75 bucks during Christmas and a free pass for someone am said they removed some of the old rides but I definitely get my money worth
I never go to that park before.
Living 2 hours from the park it would be awesome if they would add some great rides.
their space shot went to my home park
Where is your home park location?
@@truthnation7518 my home park is Darien Lake
@@MillenniumForceMan found it! Six Flags. Blast off! When I was a kid I went to this park in Alabama. Early 2000's this ride was the best thing around. Scared as hell of heights but I loved that ride. Good childhood memories for me. Glad it's still up and running. Thanks for letting me know!
@@truthnation7518 yeah it’s blast off, it used to be an amazing S&S space shot, unfortunately in 2019 they changed the gondola and made it slower so it’s not as good any more
I live 20 minutes from this park it could us a big attraction
It was before they intentionally destroyed the dry park. It was near 700,000 annual visitors.
I really want to see this park grow, it would be amazing if they brought in some outside help in getting some new Rollercoaster in. Maybe do something like the FireChaser in Dollywood. This park has so much potential especially with the City of Birmingham growing and expanding with now a professional football league.
Definitely I love Alabama splash it just needs more roller coasters
They have a new roller coaster! its caleld cheddar chase, their becoming a competitor for the park at owa
When are they announcing new rides in six flag
Rewatch the 2020 new rides video. Because those are the 2021 rides.
Locally this place is advertised as a waterpark with a rollercoaster and a few rides for the kids. When it first opened as Visionland it was actually a decent park. The former owners decided to scrap the amusement park almost entirely and focus strictly on the waterpark. The new owners have been upgrading the waterpark and have talked of expanding the amusement park as well though. I guess it will all depend on how business goes...
Yeah! The amusement park basically sat abandoned from 2012 to 2014 with all rides except Rampage gone.
Pretty sure their scrambler and tilt-a-whirl came from Lakemont.
Cedar fair wanted to buy this park

That brings some nostalgia geez thats sad.
Does alabama adventures have good operations?
The operators are super nice! Rampage has good operators. The line for it isn’t usually long because everyone is at the water park!
I rode the Rampage 21x in a row .....I love the Rampage....I still think CEDAR FAIR shouldve bought this park........before it became a water park.....Very CLEAN CLEAN PARK
i have lived in Alabama for the last 8 years i never knew they had a theme park my ex-wife grew up here and she didn't even know
I love this place but I don’t like that they removed castaway island it was so big and now cocoa island is so small and not fun at all and I finnaly rode the free fall slide but it hurt my back but it was fun
Come back Taylor!! (jk, I know you have tests in school right now, good luck!)
Do you have merch?

What about an SLC?
This Park sounds a lot like Marineland. Only 2 roller Coasters, lots of empty land in between. Really the only difference is that Marine has a zoo and Alabama Adventure has free sodas and a water park.
And Alabama Adventures doesn't do Illegal stuff.
Marineland is basically the Tobu Zoo of north america. (Someone went more in depth on taylor bumblebee’s tobu zoo review so u can go there i’m not explaining now i have no time and i’m lazzzyy)
@@coasterhockygamingboy9549 I've been to Tobu Zoo.
Alot of that is due to the old owners. The Koch's are trying to slowly but surely build the place back up
Prediction: Proslide Water coaster is the next big investment.
Coaster prediction: A Gravity Group family wooden coaster fits this park’s main audience perfectly. Appealing to families as well as coaster enthusiasts.
Alabama adventure used to be an amazing park. Lots of abandoned rides all over the park.
Honestly it was the previous owners that destroyed this place. Koch is trying to clean up they’re mess.
Hey Taylor, not sure if this is something you’re doing now, but the size of the picture while watching this is significantly smaller than your other videos. About half the size of the screen, and it seems to be only this video of yours so far. Just an FYI!
It might be the browser or way you're watching it, because this video is available in 4K, so the quality should be very high.

This park might not be around for much longer. OWA seems superior, and this park is loosing a lot of their rides. It seems like their water park will be the only part of the park around within the next 10-15 years
No they are currently growing. The old owners started selling things before eventually selling the park. The new owners are doing a much better job. In 2018 they added 7 new rides and in 2019 they added 2 new slides.
It's now owned by Holiday World, so the outlook for this park definitely has the potential to change.

First off, love your reviews. Second, as a resident of Alabama, I feel like you unknowingly just reviewed the state as a whole. Always on the verge of breaking into something really great but then something always seems to ruin it, (typically politics, Old Money or UofA getting jealous of the attention something else in the state is getting). Then there is always the shadow cast from ATL. They got the Airport, because of rich racist, they get the lottery/education dollors, because jesus hates betting, and the list goes on and on. You drive around Alabama (to steal from a theme in your video), and you see evidence of where something cool used to be there but now is empty space (the great industry of Irondale and West Birmingham, the old town of Montgomery, .....All of Mobile... ) But, I have the hope you showed in your video on AA, we have to room to grow and build.
