Little Roy. That ain’t the first time he’s done funny stuff at a show. I was in a group and we were opening up the show and I happened to glance over at the steps leading to the stage and saw that he had a grape stuck in his nostril and he was just grinning at me. I almost forgot where we were in the song..lol
He would always come on stage in some crazy get up during the Osborne Brothers set and mess with Sonny. His "suspender playing" during the Lewis Family's Honey in the Rock is epic.
The gentleman not wearing a shirt is an incredibly talented banjo player! I've been listening to old time jazz and bluegrass music and black jump music for many years, and this gentleman is one of the best improvisers I've ever heard. WOW!
There's no such thing as talent, this is a skill, and they all learned to play from hard work and lots of practice. Talent is a word invented by people who think they cannot do things like this.
@@WNActivist88 Someone with talent through practice can become a great musician. Someone without talent through practice will not become a great musician.
The man without a shirt is very good. The people wondering why he's without a shirt. It's his alter personality. I guess you haven't seen stringbean or grandpaw jones.
I'd like to know where he got the rubber ears? My late grandfather, that died before I was born, was also a banjo picker & had a pair of ears like that. I Would like any information about the ears & why??? My grandfather also has distant relatives in Tennessee. His name was Carson Guthrie " Red" Howard.
That makes me happy little Leroy Lewis on banjo yes sir ❤❤❤😊😊😊
Not everyone would instantly recognize this as the Withlacoochee stage!!

Splendid use of shirt and tie.

That is so him. I love Little Roy and Lizzy Show. I had the opportunity to see them a couple of times. Lizzy is a phenomenal fiddle player.

Ah ha! I always knew Little Roy was a Ferangi! Great picking though.
Almost nobody on this thread knows the "guest" is Little Roy Lewis? My goodness the man is a legend.

Love this band. Top notch
That frozen baby with the lil’ ears 😂😂😂
People playing great music. Sums it up.
awesome sound
I wish I could understand the thought process behind showing up to a band gig without a shirt and a giant pair of latex ears.
I’m glad to have some strange in bluegrass. Takes all kinds
He's been up to funnier things.I laughed til I cried when he pumped his suspenders on Gaither.
The better to hear your band mates!
Roy Lewis has been doing gags for years. He’s might be the only one left still performing from the legendary “the Lewis family” gospel bluegrass band.
It's called comedy.
