Dad said the other versions were unclear and I think everyone will agree with him so here is another version that he prefers over the others. It's good to have an honest Dad.

GEM OF A TRACK The whole piece has tremendous appeal with its many facets. Love the varied rhythms, and tempos. The novel use of separated phrases in the lyrics totally works here (reminds me that Bowie would write down, or cut out, random words and phrases and re-arrange into his songs.) Drums are at a breathtaking speed, also the guitar runs. Simply WOW !! So much packed into those few minutes - and a catchy, memorable chorus.
If the perfecitonist in you didn't think good enough, then you are a pretty hard critic of own work, but then ... ... ... unparalled results.
