those small ones would be great for trout fishing. I've been making a lot of tiny baits and my uncles keep saying "They are cute for crappie", and I tell em they are meant for trout lol. But i'd deff want a smaller ball bearing, maybe even something that beatle spinners use, but i'd use a larger blade tho. Love the dendted blades cause it really gives a ton of shine.
They make ball bearing swivels that have a split ring on one end then a bigger hole on the other end. Then you just go wire to swivel cutting out the need for a second split ring. They work really nice.
There is a 1/4 oz in the bigger sized mold and the smaller sized mold, in the smaller mold yes 1/0 will be fine for 1/4. The 3/8 on the other hand is only on the bigger sizes mold and no it will not except a 1/0 hook.
I haven’t used any under spins at all. I can’t bring myself to pay for them. So the mold is definitely something I’m considering. However, I have yet to read where anybody says how good they work or the fact that they work as good as or better than commercially available ones?
They are very effective! Especially when fish are chasing bait. Think of them as a smaller spinner bait. I use them all the time, all times of year, I use the smaller ones for pan fish and the bigger ones for bass, striper, and even reddish (salt water).
I get mine from Amazon, 100pcs Ball Bearing Swivel with 2 Fishing Stainless Split Ring Fish Hooks Connectors for Saltwater Seawater12mm16mm18mm20mm23mm a.co/d/3qBZCla
Good lord. I'm subbing bc the gigantic injectors in the back ground. Plus a great video in detail for beginners
Thanks man! 😆

Absolutely agree with you! I love my little baits, they catch tons of fish! Even big ones once in a while.

Where?
Amazon bud!
@@B8N_Tackle should have known lol..thanks
I've found smoking the mold helps the lead flow into the cavity better but to each his own.
I have recently found that drop out works great! Easy to clean up too.
Where are you purchasing your hooks from?
Barlows Tackle, but I bought a bunch awhile back, I know lately it's been slim pickings there.
Do these run pretty straight in the water? Thinking about getting the smaller one
@matthewmolone9224 yes they run pretty straight, but also depends on your retrieve speed.
Can you cleanly pour a 1/4 and 3/8 with a thin wire 1/0 90 degree hook?

Hello friend, where do I buy the mold for the large number 5 jigs, how do I look for it and where? if you are very kind...
Large number 5 jigs? What do you mean bud?
Do you use a number 3 blade on your 1/4 oz??
Yes sir, if it takes a 5/0 hook I'm using a size 3 blade, if it's smaller size accordingly.

do you have to have the Underspin wire eye in there to pour it?
No you could always leave the wire out and just make it a jig head if you wanted to.
1/2 ounce, 1/4 ounce. Not inches.
