I feel for you having kidney stone surgery. I been through it. Having that stent remove is ok but interesting. All will be ok. When I am loading hardware in a mold I usually load on the right side as well. No reason. I just do.

The 604 has a very short neck below the eye, but the area for the eye was opened up much higher so you could use a longer neck hook from other brands. Very likely you could use #4 from Victory, Mustad, or Eagle Claw. I only tested with the 604s as that was what you specified, but I designed it so the range could be wider. Its not possible with every design to fit for a range of hooks, but this design lends itself to it.

would have LOVED to have seen how to remove the pot. seems simple, but I'm having a lot of issues with the heating element not letting go of the pot and the drainage spicket being in the way. I'm not sure if it's safe to use PB Blast or other stuff to get the coil to free up. Any hints or maybe you already did a video on the removal part.

Hey man, I loved your video however, the poison head jig I could only see in quarter ounce but I saw a Weedless spit head jig at Barlow’s unpainted. Could you point me in the direction of those heads you used please Thanks. I make my own crank baits, but I wanna start making my own jigs. How do you get the old pot out? I took out the screws and lead got the pin removed. But the pot won't even wiggle. I don't want to use a screw driver to deform the tin holder. Thanks

I make hundreds of those every spring for a local tackle shop in the crappie sized ones. I found a much easier way to do the eyes. My wife gave me a couple of fingernail tools. They are like an ink pen but they have two different sized balls on them. A extremely small one at one end, and a slightly larger one at the other end. For the crappie sized bait, I use the smallest one. Just pour a small amount of fingernail polish of the color you like on a small square of aluminum foil and dip the ball in the polish and touch the eye on bait. I can put eyes on 500 in about an hour.

I have been using lee pots since i was 15 im now 34. If ya damn flux with beeswax or saw dust you wont have this problem. Along with skimming dross and disposing it accordingly.... This is absolutely ridiculous Ive made thousands of bullets and my oldest casting pot is still going strong with no replacement parts......

I know I am way to late for the giveaway. I just found your site from Adam at SDG. I have been looking this year for baits from smaller companies like yours. The big companies are getting too big but I think smaller company baits are just as good if not better

Very informative video. I like your finished product. I started making jigs in the 60's & we sold them to Gibson's, Howard's and TG&Y and a few bait shops. My first fly tying materials were purchased from the old Herter's catalog. I been at it for awhile and enjoy seeing new ways to build fishing lures. Keep up the good work!

Ive been using my melter for years and have never had it look that bad. Do you flux your lead. Every thousand bullets i cast i drain the pot and use steel wool to clean it. Biggest issue i have is the thermostat goung bad.
