For those that don't know what an UNO MAS level is, essentially it's a short level made to showcase something neat, unique, silly or glitchy in Mario Maker 2. Typically, once figured out, these levels will take under 30 seconds to beat...but those 30 seconds are usually filled with eye opening moments. Let's dive into these levels!

How to kill the angry sun in Mario Maker.
*super star invincibility,
*throwing a POW at it,
*it being near a bob-omb when it explodes,
*facing it while holding an enemy,
*kicking an enemy at it,
*goomba shoe ground pound shockwave,
*hitting it with a spikeball.
Fun Fact: the spiny shelmet is the only item that can kill _every killable_ enemy but, the angry sun is the only one that it can't kill if you're wearing it, you have to either hold or throw it. Munchers and thwomps are the opposite, requiring that you wear the shelmet in order to kill them with it. Phanto is the only unkillable enemy, the only way to get rid of it is to use it's key.
I thought for sure you could kill them by kicking a shell at them, it worked in Mario 3.
@@fluttershystayshigh4202 "*kicking an enemy at it," that includes shells. Throwing and kicking are pretty much the exact same thing, I just said kicking because you can't throw in Mario 1.
Koopalings spinning also kills the angry sun if the sun comes into contact with the spinning koopaling I believe
At 14:40 you're not getting unlimited coins from two blocks in the setup. Instead there is an entire row of invisible blocks in the contraptions path that are continuously activated and then destroyed immediately by the two balls.
Ya that's why the last two blocks are visible when you beat the level. The contraption breaks before those two can be destroyed.

On the one with the “unlimited coins” it was just new blocks being activated and then being broken

@@CBeezyDSGB if you look up DGR Bean Burrito, there are multiple videos on his channel. Bean Burrito levels are very difficult/time consuming/precise precision/borderline trolly levels that look simple and easy... but looks can be very deceiving. If you enjoy watching Dave struggling, then I would highly suggest giving some of those vids a watch or two. Also, welcome new friend to the DGR community, I hope you enjoy and have a ton of fun here ✌️😁
14:44 Dave doesn't know how invisible coin blocks work.
I think the way the last level.was reprogrammed was that other entities overlapped with the ice blocks. When they are destroyed, that information is stored globally, so you can't destroy it again. However, using a pipe, it will reset all the other entities in the room, meaning that the previously hidden entities will spawn!

The pausing thing in the Just Boost level is like what I do whenever I want to start running but I don’t want Yoshi to spit out what he has in his mouth, or when I don’t want to throw a fireball.
Nice to see there are still very unique discoveries being made this game still has a lot to offer.

for the « invisible mario after death » level, it’s the propeller hat that makes mario invisible, if i remember well, it’s still on you but at the same time, it falls when you die, so it make this « glitch » and there’s an invisible square on mario

"moonwalking backwards" is redundant. If you reverse the technique of the moonwalk and move forward, that's a different breakdance move called the Smurf, so moonwalking backwards is actually Smurfing forwards.

The last one is an pretty easy concept, mario maker has an entity inside the block you have to destroy, but since the block is there the entity will despawn until you destroy the block and reload the zone.

The setup for the reprograming room is simple. Lay a hard block and then put an item on it then when you brake the block there is a spot for the item to spon when you come back the item spons.

I think I actually found the worst level ever. 0BG-WNS-S6G It would make a great video watching dgr fail to this level or part of the uncleared series because no one can or probably will ever beat it.

8:16 my guess is that it’s a screenscroll and the items are actually placed in the level. The screen just scrolls forward one tile and the items are outside the screen. But I could be wrong I’ve never actually tried it.

If you had waited for longer on the "exploding clear pipe" level, I think the bombs would eventually go off and have the pipe "explode."

22:54 how it works is that if you overlap stuff like that in the editor it will disappear upon starting the level due to the ground taking priority over enemies and items, so when you break the block they can properly spawn.

the last uno mas with the cave, you was kinda silly. ok i,ll explain, its things like a spring or a muncher in the ice blocks but they dissapear but when you break the ice block and reset they are spawning.
You're telling me spawn-blocking is hard to understand? Not only has this technique been around since SMM1, but it is even easier to grasp when u manually break blocks and get to see the effects.
The uno más comes in because ice blocks are (ostensibly) not stackable, like other spawn blocks. If you try to build a level like this it won't work. There's some kind of building shenanigans going on. Likely undo-button-nands, a lá broken tracks infamy.
@@JusteazyGames I had never heard of any difference between ice blocks and any other spawn blocks (other than whether you can jump over them when at the top of the screen). So I set up the entire final room in this level, with the 4 separate ice blocks. (I used the level viewer to make sure I was setting it up exactly the same.) Didn't do any shenanigans, just set it up. And it did indeed work - basic spawn-blocking, same with ice as with any other block.
So unless I'm missing something, Nathan is right. It's very surprising that Dave didn't realize that it was simple spawn-blocking going on, after it's been a part of the Mario Maker games for almost 7 years. :-)
It's not hard to understand that the ice blocks are blocking another item from spawning somewhere. What IS hard to understand is HOW it was done.
You need to remember that Dave doesn't use the editor, at all, and when he does it's to make "simple" levels during 1 hour challenges and the like. He doesn't know the intricate techniques used to create all kinds of levels, otherwise he'd be able to get through any level in mere seconds.

I guess at 2x RUclips just skips every other frame and the wobbling is happening at exactly 30Hz
Hey Dave you often see a glitch you havent seen in a while and say "I thought Nintendo had patched it out". The thing is with alot of this glitches (as fans of Ceave Gaming will know) they did get patched out, but when you play a level you play it in the version it is uploaded. Say for instance the level you played at 3:34 was upload in version, oh, 1.7. And the hammer glitch was patched out in version, oh, 1.8. The glitch is still patched out, but the creator uploaded the level in version 1.7, so thats the version you play the level in.
I wonder if Miyamoto takes notes on these Uno Mas levels for new 2D Mario games.

I don't know where you get uno mas levels, but I want to give you my uno mas level: VKJ-FGP-RJG
It's a glitch that i have never seen from other. It has existed from Super Mario maker 1, the only difference is that the koopa in mm1 damaged Mario; in mm2 he doesn't do.
You can also throw a shell at the sun to kill it.

Likely whichever one was closer to the spike ball when it spawns.
We know that when keys are spawned by a contraption it goes to the nearest player to spawn, and we know that if you kill an enemy from far away, for example by throwing a shell, it goes to the player who got the kill, not the closest player. So likely the spike ball will be "assigned" to whichever player is closest when it spawns, no matter which player is where when the sun dies.

Um . . . what on Earth is going on with the backgrounds in that SMB2 boot level?
Wouldn’t that pause level be a non solvable versus level?
Would be easier in coop, where one could grab/throw their teammates.
But realistically I don't see any group in multiplayer collectively not jumping long enough to pull it off.
20:01 this level was not an uno masu just get the spiky head thing and break the blocks then go to the pipe to load the stuff that wouldn't load before bcuz of the blocks
i honestly could not see the spikes under those blocks. I slowed the video down, turned it on max settings, nothing.
