I like watching other sellers package items in case they have new tips/tricks--especially for larger items, since I sell few of those. My husband gives me such grief over my "over-packing" but I just had my packaging fail this past week & something arrived broken. It was a situation when I thought to myself "Maybe I should...." and then I *didn't* add that extra step. Ugh! So it was talking myself out of "over" packing that did me in. So from now on, I'm packing above & beyond just like always! 🙂
I am a long time square dancer (I know, I know) and those vintage western shirts are almost always highly desirable. Use keywords square dance, clogging when you list.
I don't comment often, but just wanted to reinforce how much I appreciate your packing videos. Not too many people put these type of videos out and I have learned a few tricks definitely by watching you. Thanks to you and your wife for all the videos.
I just got back on eBay after a 15 year hiatus. Just made my third sale 🎉when it’s time to pack I summon the spirit of Lonnie and in no time flat I’m at the post office with the goods safe and secure. WWLD? Love the show you guys rock!
Could you make a video. Walk through on how to add insurance, and required signature to your shipments on higher dollar items. Would be much appreciated.
So since ya'll are taking questions now, I thought I'd ask something that I've been wondering for a long time now but haven't asked because I didn't want to appear kinda dumb, but here goes... I've noticed that most ppl seem to know right away by looking at where something was made, what significance that has toward value. I know that Hong Kong, China, and Japan can all hold different meaning and I have no clue what that is. I also know that Made In USA typically means something is more valuable. I also know it can immediately signify what time period it was from as well. Maybe I am alone here and totally clueless to common knowledge, but it has really been bugging me that I don't know, and I'd appreciate any help u can give. Thanks!
I find packing satisfying also. It’s going full circle…..buy, list, sell, ship. Love it. Thanks for your packing videos. I’m a 20+ year eBay seller. Most of those years were clothing, which is so easy to pack. Starting this year though, I’ve moved to being an “anything” seller. So, I’ve learned some valuable info from watching you pack!
Lonnie and Candice, Have you seen the "short" that Kevin at CommonwealthFlipper posted awhile ago that shows a good way to deal with the resizing flap issue? such a simple fix that love!!!!!
You should show how to resize a box width wise. No videos show this that immediately popped up when i searched. I had to resize a free Priority box yesterday. The box was two wide and I needled to make that smaller. I looked up videos for resizing boxes, and the majority I found showed three ways to resize the box, make it shorter ala resize tool method, make it longer by making new folds with the box laid out flat, and make it larger/longer by using two boxes. No video I watched ever showed making a box smaller, not the height way with a resize tool, but the width way. I basically laid the box out flat and scored it each side, but the scores aren't done in the same spots as when you make a box longer resize. Then you cut the side of the box in half in-between the two scored sides, and then you can make the box the correct size. Luckily the item I was packing was the same length and height for my box, but the items width was smaller than the box.
Im amazed at the items that you guys sell on Ebay.. Im trying to learn , and my biggest worry is that I will miss calculate the authenticity or value of items that I list. So thinking about just starting out with ordinary items.. make a few sales ,hopefully, and get started that way...??
Someone may be looking for that one shoe. You could probably sell all four of them and a person that collects all kinds of Barbies might buy them just to hold onto them. Good luck and thanks.
Would be willing to buy the FedEx shirt for my dad. He loves wearing things like that. If you feel odd taking money, I can send you a UPS/USPS label for it.
Do you notice any feedback in using the purchased paper vs using newspapers to use as purchases? Do you get any feedback in using these papers? I know I find it annoying when I get packages with the peanuts that get everywhere? Do you get specific packaging requests?
Magazine pack: on the last pack, where you added the 4 pieces of cardboard to add strength the box, an alternative would be to bend each of those same 4 four pieces in their middle (at 90 degrees), so the added cardboard runs around the inside corners, rather then just down the sides. I find if the box is going to split from handling, it will likely be a corner that fails. My way strengthens the corners. Great video!
Hey ya'll, I'd bet that u could still profit off of the single Barbie shoes. If they won't sell as singles, I'd bet that a lot of singles would at least make u a little something 😊❤ Just a thought...

Oh Lonnie, now whenever you say "It's been a while", I automatically say it in my head like you do singing it.
🎶It's been a while!🎶🤣
Me too. :-)

I agree. I find packing one of the more enjoyable aspects of the business. I feel like it’s a form of therapy for me.
I love it when you show the packing. Sooo relaxing for me.
you two are adorable. working together to tackle clothing. As us Brits say team work makes the dream work and dream team haha

I have been packing box es on ebay since 1999. I find watching you pack boxes oddly refreshing. Always learn something -thanks.
They had that crawfish hanging in the Golden Girls kitchen!

Size 15 is the size of the neck on a man. Good video 😸🤘🏻
Anyone else hear Dr. Demento's "Fish Heads" every time Lonnie and Candice said Midge heads, or am I just "demented" 😅
I could have done without a reminder of that song, but Dr D in general was worth it!
Bringing back some memories there!
Poor doggies 😂
Great Viedo as always and that shirt looked great awesome pic. Feel better Candice 🥰
Thought Candice sounded under the weather hope you are feeling better Candice 👍 nice packaging Lonnie 💪 and nice x files sale 💪💪 😊
You can definitely sell that bag! I sold a similar one for $25 about a year ago.

Willing to do a local deal on some of those Starting Lineups????
15 is the neck size . That's how men's shirts are measured in addition to sleeve length
The photo of the cool blue and white shirt is terrific. 💙🤍🤠
Sorry if you said it already but what is the name of the tool that you use to resize boxes ?
I enjoy packing. Just shipped 30kg reel to reel to new zealand. Tea set up taiwan. Love shipping records in record boxes.

so you like it stiff?
It looks to me like you sold some items that have been in the shed for awhile. I think your changes that you made to your ebay are working!

Why would you not sell the single Barbie shoes, i'm sure someone could use the shoes to make a pair?
Aarrg… starting lineup. Mostly junk as you said. So overproduced.
Darn not first

Good morning, are you guys married ?
Just curious.. what is the longest running item you have yet to sell in the shed?
