oh wow , this lore is so enthuiastic ! İt makes so much sense.. its why the white palace exists! The pale king escaped there to to be safe from the macebug, the hollow knight was imperfect because they were scared of the macebug causing it to get infected! The whole halownest was scared of macebug so much they dreamed of getting out of the mines! But they couldnt and got infected! İT ALL MAKES SO MUCH SENSE!!!
