I would just like to clear the record here. Eddie Vedder and Ralph Nader are still as close friends as they ever were and Ed has recently stated, many times, that he would love to do another benefit for Nader.
It isn't a learning issue, but a belief issue. Most get bored with being taught what to believe and figure out early on that critical thought is far more benificial in life.
Griping about the recent Pearl Jam show at Irving Plaza, one source writes: "Eddie Vedder puzzled fans (who had waited up to 38 hours at Tower Records to get a ticket for the show) by repeatedly signaling to his girlfriend and other celebrities on the balcony."

The idea is to transcend partisan politics and stand up for the values and principles of your country. So relax and ease up on the judgments, it just makes you sound ignorant.
