Thanks for watching. What sewing machines features leave you 100% satisfied with what you have?

So really there's no ONE perfect sewing machine that will meet all needs of the general sewist. Some people want a machine that does loads of stitches but as you said, there's only a need for basic stitches to accomplish most projects.

Always great info, thanks. I have two mechanical machines and one computer. My most used are the mechanical ones with the computer one to work on quilting my projects. The side or front bobbins are ones I prefer but most have the top load with the plastic plate and I also find it makes the line measurements off at times.

Thanks for watching. Yes, top loading bobbin is very inconvenient for quilting.

The closest I've seen to a one-and-done sewing machine is the Babylock Allegro. It's relatively high speed, has a straight stitch plate, has all the zig zag features, has a ton of harp space for big projects, has a knee lift and thread cutter, and doesn't cost $25k like the flagship machines.

This Allegro looks like it has some awesome features. Next time I go to a shop, will have to try it out. Thanks.
