hi! I love your videos! I'm heading to Pai next month, was thinking if you'll need to rent a car / bike from Chiang Mai and head up yourself, or is there form of transportation to rent when you arrive at your accommodations to explore the place? Thank you!
@@limjs8674 Thank you for the comment, i really appreciate it😊 You can get from Chiang Mai to Pai by bus and rent a car/bike in Pai. It’s more convenient to go along the mountain roads to any location by bike (but remember to take a raincoat). There are some places that are impossible to drive to. Otherwise you’ll have to walk about 10 km to get there. So, bike is the best choice of transport in this mountainous area. I wish you an unforgettable trip😊
How did you do Doi Inthanon? Did you drive yourself or hire a driver? I really want to visit, but it seem so complicated/expensive to do without doing a tour ...which I am not opposed to, but all of the ones I can find only spend like an hour at the actual park and have a bunch of other random stops tacked on - I really like to take my time and hike around and not rush lol. The moss footage is really luring me in, thank you for sharing :')
@@Shamrock17964 I initially wanted to hire a bike or ataxi driver. But my boyfriend arrived the day before my birthday, so we rented a car😊 But you can use the first option. I chatted with several drivers directly (in InDrive service, Grab or Bolt). For example, when you call a taxi for regular city travel purposes, ask him if he can take you to Doi Inthanon. Or you can exchange contacts with him to discuss these issues via text messages (it’s an easier way). I did this with several drivers and the price was acceptable. The cheapest option is a bike. A car driver will cost more + you can’t be able go to any mountains road by it. I hope I helped you😊
