Mr. Marc, my dad referred me to your channel as I was bored of watching the same strategies on channels covering starcraft 2 pro. I ended up discovering a lot of fun and innovative strategies that work, there were many nights watching your videos with him in our living room, today unfortunately he left for another plane of existence after fighting cancer for 3 years. He really loved starcraft 2 even though he started in broodwar in 1998 he never made it to GM even after 20+ years of playing lol. He would always tell me "I'm not a noob, I'm just stupid". Thank you for the great memories I will have of the last few days with my father watching your videos, even when he lacked the strength to click the mouse and play he kept watching Starcraft 2 and your matches were his favorites, thank you very much Mr. Marc.
On the slow warp in distance, the color of the pylon aura changes when it's connected to the warp network. You can use that to see if your warps will be fast even when the nexus is still building.
I have a new cheese for you! Build the proxy nexus, attack normally, recall some of your attacking units to the proxy (make sure they see the recall) and bait them into chasing the remaining units so that they leave their base undefended. :) It might also be possible to complete their high ground wall with a pylon so that the probes cant escape. Perhaps it is funny to make 3 gateways in their base in stead of the nexus.
flo is probably an undiscovered treasure for the pro players. I'm still laughing at some of his games. Like, vs mass raven + mass turrets he went for mass DT's then the ravens had to run from the archons while the DT's sliced down both kinds of turrets
Marc is such a very good player that even when he is 400 minerals behind for the wasted nexus, behind in development and supply count, he can crawl back and defeat his opponent with his micro.
@@phillgizmo8934 I loved that series. I don't think he was able to make GM, though. It was one of the few that he gave up on as each race has techniques that can cancel it out. Would be psyched to see uThermal try it :)
In instances where the Nexus is found after the initial recall, would it be a good idea to use the remaining energy on chronoboosts before it is destroyed?
@@damnplaylist I wonder if one could float a bunch of orbitals out of sight then land them one by one only to drop mules as a hidden economy. I mean, if they are on +2 bases they don't have to attack?

Mark, as someone who is lactose intolerant I'd like to ask you to cheese your cheese please! Proxi nexus on best placed base, opponents Natural or 3rd in this case perhaps, so eco cheese with defensive/offensive cannons to suit your flavor.
@@Blandge Overseers have an ability called Contaminate which disables production/research structures for 21 seconds, so they can't make units or work on research/upgrades.
at 9min if he has +2 melee, it means he's probably goin bane/ling and/or muta ling bane. i haven't seen yet so let's see if my reading sucks or is accurate.
one time u opened it with a proxy nexus and a shield battery and I loved this opening so much because I think it really brings out the most of the nexus with the battery overcharge. maybe this works better against zerg?
It would have been great if in game 2 if you had a forge. There was a perfect opportunity to make cannons in the time it took for the Nexus to be discovered.
Cannons are very expensive if combined with nexus, also expensive, don’t know if you can afford adepts, forge, cannons, pylons, and nexus all at once. Battery would be the ultimate move because the nexus gives super battery but hard to get batteries out (worked in game 3 but not in game 2).
The center of the recall reticle corresponds to the center of the nexus. For example if all your units are on the left half they all get teleported to the left side.
If you're worried about getting your gas stolen, u can click a worker onto the gas like it's going to mine (even if there's no structure on the gas) and then hold position your worker and that will stop your opponent from being able to steal your gas. Not sure if doing that would have messed up the build uThermal was doing there in the game he brought up being scared his gas was stolen and I'm 99% sure he knows that, but that's a small tip for fellow lower league SC2 players :)
you could also just place down a pylon right beside it so you dont have to waste a drone.. just dont forget to cancel it xD I learned that building a barracks too close one time had to fly it over lol
I know it can be a bit slow to come online, but I'd really like to see you try a certain PvT strategy. You go for a Stargate build, getting 2 oracles and then sending them across together. Behind it, you go for a full wall-off and start building Void Rays en masse. The job of the Void Rays is to contain the Zerg as much as possible - typically their response will be to overproduce Queens and push out. But you are waiting for that. Behind what looks like just mass Void Rays, you have built a Warp Prism and 2 Disruptors. You blast the Queens with the Disruptors and then take the Void Ray vs Queen fight, shattering the Queen count. You then overrun whatever air defense zerg has left and rampage through their drones. Zerg has very limited replies to mass Void Rays. So you can walk them right into this.
@uThermal Love what you do, but i would love even more if i could see the part behind your face. Maybe put the camera just under the 1st contrôle grp ? There is a black spote that is useless there.
Watching your first game, I was wondering if it would be possible to steal both of the zergs games and then tailor your build to dominate the build they have to go to without gases.
his replay analysis is terrible :P he guessed how many lings he had in stead of just looking. Was there a spire or was it going to be a massive +3 baneling detonation?
