Praying you continue to adjust smoothy in your new home. Congratulations on the new home, how exciting to have your own patio and is that back yard yours too? Charlotte just keeps getting cuter and cuter, I love the way you communicate with her. She reminds me of when my daughter was her age, love that age!!! I follow another RUclipsr who lives in Calgary. She's been on RUclips for probably 10 years now. Her daughters are now in college. I believe her husband manages a chain of hotels so they have moved a lot, all over the world, but they are Canadian. She's a big time crafter. Her page is Red Cardinal Crafts.

These mountain sights are gorgeous!! Its also so fun seeing what type of stores are in Canada compared to the U.S. those clear bins are a steal! I'm trying to think if any of our dollar stores have any that even come close to looking as sturdy as yours for that price 😂 Also, I love how you're making the most of your space for business as you continue to settle in. What a blessing to still have orders to fill!? The beauty of online commerce and wholesale ❤

I'm curious if you communicate the dissatisfaction with the print shops who gave you the poor quality/incorrect items. And if not, I'd love to hear why you chose not to do that! I would think especially with a local company there would be room for negotiation and asking for a re-print, although I could be wrong. I also wonder if they could offer sample runs/prints where they do a small tester or something where you could test finishes etc. I also run a small business, albiet very different products, and when a manu sends me a sample that I'm unhappy with I always ask if they'd be willing to remake it with adjustments for free in the hopes of being able to continue working with them. The first few times I did it, I felt really uncomfortable or like I was being unreasonable, but it's saved some of my relationships with my manus! The response is almost always positive because like you said when the error isn't a result of my mistake in files or instructions it's reasonable for them to be given a chance to correct their mistake. But maybe it's not worth it for paper products, since if they couldn't get the quality right the first time maybe it's unlikely that they'd be able to produce something of higher quality consistently (which of course is important, you don't want to have to ask for re-prints often). I'm not working with local people either and our products always have a sample come first. I like hearing about your business because it's so different from mine! I do very few paper based products.
Hope you're doing ok. Change is so hard and adding personal change alongside business/professional change must be difficult. Praying for you during this transition and hopeful for the future!

I agree! I follow up with every printer and discuss what can be done (to either fix the current order if it’s fixable or for any future orders). Actually these types of print orders are what teaches me the MOST about the whole printing process 😝 A lot of times though, my favorite manufacturers wouldn’t send out work that is dull or has some misprints, etc. Basic quality control stuff. But I’ve received a lot of those kinds of issues too.
Thanks for this message!! I love that you can empathize and you’re right. I have to be more empathetic too to small businesses and give them a chance to explain or fix something if I’m not happy 😌

@@bysarahkim thanks for the reply! that makes a lot of sense. Looking for them to save time and mental load for you by quality control checking prior to sending out! I hope you can find someone local who will be able to grow into that role!
