Don't worry man it happens to the best of us, I have had it in all of my vids since I got a mic and I still don't know how to fix it. Keep up the good work man!!!
Pro-Tip for figuring out your exact head shape/circumference. Use a piece of wire. Shape the wire to your head and that wil give you an exact shape to trace.
Great video. I love the hat. Have been thinking about making one. Coming across your video is the green light, to get it done. I’m very fortunate, I live 20 minutes from Pendleton Woolen end store. You can purchase the mill ends. The hat may cost 3.00. FYI - I found on Pinterest a hat makers guide for the top of hats in oval shapes. It gives you the head circumference and the oval template that matches. It increases iaccordingly. No math ! Best regards
Thanks for the video. It is the best that I have seen so far. One word of advice. TERMINOLOGY. A cap like the one that you are making has a bill in the front or none at all. A hat has a brim that goes all the way around the piece.
@@vikinghistory fair! I usually do 1/4 inch and just...suffer. but my aalsum/Dublin hat had zero issues! I kept knocking on wood because it was going too well 😂
Apologies for the background static caused by the microphone. I'll do my best to remove this in the next video.
had that a lot in our early vids.

Struggling with sewing the top part to the strip without having excess or it puckering. Any tips?
Hola buenas tardes , tendrán uno de Blusas medieval para caballero , gracias
Currently making one with sealskin and handwoven wool on the inside
Can i use another type of fabric (with the same consistency)?
nice. are you going to do the other variations or move on to the different items?
Just this variation for now, but once we complete a few other Hedeby items we might circle back.
What kind of fabric is that?
It's thick wool. The original fragment was 2/2 twill wool, but what I used is a very thick plain weave gray wool.
@@vikinghistory if I doesn't find it, can I use another type of fabric?

It probably originally wasn't Scandinavian fashion, but rather Frankish.
Half inch seam allowance on each end?! You must be very wealthy! 😂
I always leave excessive room for my many inevitable mistakes 😂
