They need food if a winter storm comes in with enough snow to keep them from being able to get to the grass, and grain helps keep them warm as a supplement to hay/alfalfa. Also if they can get at a bit of grain growing in the neighbors field from under the barbed wire they will.
I just left Costco after only one year became I didn't get the "hype". I rejoined Sams club and can't wait to get shopping. Thank you Bobby...I needed this info and learned so much!

Your tip on pressure cooking the chicken carcass is my trick of 40 years.

Bathe that leg of lamb in buttermilk for 16 to 24 hours and it will not be gamy. I will bathe wild venison in buttermilk overnight and it will not be gamy. Also don’t over cook it and eat it before it cools down is the best.

Sockeye is a very lean fish, delicious and a good source of protein but not a source of omega 3 fatty acids
Is it bad to freeze the thawed fish? I think the packaging says do not refreeze but I don’t know how a small family could eat that whole portion be for it spoils

Thompson farms is not 100% grass fed. I have a serious soy allergy and reacted to the sam's club lamb. Costco also isn't 100% grass fed.
Legally it can say 100 percent even if it's 95 to 98 percent
I believe all Australian beef and lamb are grass fed as required by the country.

Grass finished beef doesn’t have marbling, the marbling is all the grains cattle are fed before harvest.
What grass finished lacks in marbling, makes up for it in nutrition.
I love grass fed ground beef but prefer grain fed for steaks
I work in a meat department that gets Thomas farm grass fed primals and some of them are beautifully marbled.
Not true. It does seem to be very inconsistent but, I do get a lot of good batches of grass fed rib eyes and NY strips at Aldi with great marbling

Yes it is bad, do NOT refreeze. Potential for very bad food poisoning. You can freeze cooked fish tho.
