    The Sabonis/Haliburton trade was one of those rare trades that was a win win.

    getting wiseman was a smart idea at the time. They expected klay to be klay, they already someone like poole, so getting ball would be kinda pointless, too many guards

      Nah. Not when lamelo was nearly guaranteed to be a star. You gotta pick the better player every time, not position. If it was roo many guards, then they could just trade them later. If they had traded Poole and lamelo at their best, they could've had an actual star alongside steph

    • @abw1317
      @abw1317 5 месяцев назад +3

      That doesn't make much sense. The Warriors are historically bad at drafting bigs, and they drafted JP when their guards were in their prime. Warriors fans gotta stop with the excuses.

      @@allthingsfitness3957 like they ended up getting chris paul whose a ball dominant guard.. or jordan poole how ball dominant he was. They even traded james wiseman for gary payton whose another guard lol. Lamelo 6’7 and a way better playmaker and a good rebounder. Hes shooting 44 from 3 too. They would’ve found a way to make it work. Definitely much better than wiseman

    I think one that was worst than lots of these mentioned was the Wizards turning down the offer to send Beal to Minneapolis and receive the number 1 pick from the 2020 draft.
    They could have Anthony Edwards in DC but not just kept beal, also gave that albatross contract to him

    The Sixers didn’t choose Tobias Harris over Butler. They choose Brett Brown and Ben Simmons over Jimmy Butler. Butler stated that he didn’t like playing for Brown and didn’t like playing with Simmons because it meant he got less touches. The sixers let him walk so we could keep our young all star (at the time). Only reason Harris got the contract he did was because butler was already gone, and we didn’t wanna lose both of them

    Kawhi gave the Spurs no option but to trade him just based on his actions alone, the Spurs still got DeRozan and Poeltl, who have been moved for 1st, so only time will tell if we really lost out

    • @joeblow7464
      @joeblow7464 5 месяцев назад

      Yeah, the Kawhi trade is still unfolding. Spurs got Keldon, Branham, a 2024 Toronto 1st and 2025 Chicago 1st I believe. I'm glad he's gone though.

      @@ryanmilbrod2386 what I'm saying is lamelo in my opinion was the safest choice because if he didn't work in the warriors system they could've traded him since he was so popular coming into the league..... Wiseman played like what 3 games in Memphis he wasn't the big name

    • @abw1317
      @abw1317 5 месяцев назад

      At the time, a lot of people were worried about Wiseman due to the lack of actual play at a high level, and Melo was questioned due to his personality and competition he was playing, but peope still leaned towards Melo as a safer pick.

    Poole is looking terrible this season, so either way they were screwed

  • @vpolite1
    @vpolite1 4 месяца назад

    This guy is pretty dumb. They drafted Wiseman because they started a rebuild. That is why they brought in Dejian; the guy who developed Jokic and Zubac. Poole has been terrible 4 of his 5 seasons. He was never going to another Splash Brother. Wiggins and Kuminga are in the Warriors starting lineup. Signing Poole to that extension was the only mistake.
