  • My earlier attempt at a pusher - the FT Explorer indicated I needed a more robust starting point. I found plans/instructions for an EZ-Pelican pusher and this video discusses a couple of design iterations as well as some test flights.

    Hello. Try 20 percent stab área, small rudder area, less than 10 percent . Make fuselaje almost equal to span, make wing aspecto ratio between 6 or 7. Make nose equal to 1/4 of span . Try first without motor. I had the same issues for years. Remember, small planes do not resemble the shape of full size aircraft, they operate in totally different conditions. And yes, pushers need a Lot of down thrust. Have a Nice day.

      Thanks for the comments. I will look back over my notes about the dimensions when I try a similar design again. Certainly needs a stronger launch to avoid the initial dip that pushers seem to have.
