One day, one sailor does come back and he chronicles the horrific tale of what happened to the rest of the crew.

Yeah, I essentially never play horror games for myself cuz I risk breaking stuff out of panic, but it's great fun watching others play through. I do sometimes buy indie darlings as a show of support despite having NO intentions of playing, and Dredge is one I've gifted a couple times to friends. Game's just too good.

For anyone curious about the Terror expedition mentioned, it's the lost Franklin expedition. To ships set out to find a quicker way to the east through the Canadian arctic, the fabled northwest passage. The crew set out and was never seen again and the details weren't discovered until 1993! It one of my favorite pieces of Canadian history and I highly encourage looking into it if you're interested. There are a plethora of videos, but I recommend history buffs' video.

There's a cultist you missed off to the right in the crook on eastern ternamus, k-5, that'll get you the achievement for all the pale reach side quests
The Captain is back in the chair & hat. You definitely seemed to have picked the game back up quickly after a long time. Dredge definitely has a unique art style, so the new camera mode for screenshots is a great way to add something fun to the game, especially with the new types of fish & whales.

Someone might have already said it, but I love talking about it a lot so sorry if they did. Boatswain is pronounced boe - sun (also spelled/abbreviated to bo'sun which makes the pronunciation more clear), basically it's been simplified down to the most basic sounds of the word (though saying it boat-swain isn't technically wrong, most sailors just don't say it like that). The people who taught me said that sailing terminology is practically its own language, it can really feel like that XD. The Boatswain is responsible for the upkeep of the hardware on the ship, for example: the rigging, the lines the anchor and flags and such. They still serve that purpose today. One translation says it means "Boat's husband" which is fun, but most translations seem to be "Boat man" or "Boat boy". I come from a family of sailors and I've volunteered on a tall ship so it's a subject very near and dear to me ^\/^

I adore this game with all my heart. Even if it was just an hour of you boating around trying to trawl up an abberation, I'd happily watch the entire thing.

I dont know if anybody else noticed this, but at 1:15 49, Gab finds a fish that's an Aberration fish with infected spores all over it. Last time i check you cant get Aberration fish to get infected?? Am i missing something?
There's a really great show about The Terror of the same name. It takes some artistic liberties as it swings horror but it's so good and worth the watch.
You missed a quest from a hooded figure on the ice. It's in the east on the outside. You were next to it when catching the squid and also when the crows appeared
This game really reminds me of a game I used to play a while back called Sunless Sea. Even more now since there was a cold ice region in that game as well. Although this game has much better gameplay
