  • Farfetch started in 2007 with a simple idea - go the world's best luxury boutiques and build a marketplace for them to sell online. It was such a great idea it IPO'd and grew to a $28B valuation only to collapse a few years later.
So what happened to cause the rise and fall of Farfetch? Well in this video I will try to dig in 🕵️.

The problem with them ever coming back is they've sort of taught all the luxury brands that if they grow their own e-commerce profile and sell it while telling the individual story of the brand they're trying to sell that they will do better than selling it through a company that no longer focuses on the experience that luxury truly is was a great idea in theory but the concept went the wrong way and it failed

So true. I’m currently experiencing an issue with FF. The item I placed on FF website came from an island (Spain controlled), and they sent wrong item. FF refused return at first citing final sale non refundable. I had to use Paypal buyer protection and FF agreed to refund, but I have to pay return shipping cost. Can you imagine the shipping cost to an …. island?
