The tank likes amazing. I love how she sat in your hand and looked around before she took off and disappeared. She is going to love it. Please update us on her in a month that would be awesome. She is so cute. I just picked up my Arizona Blond tarantula sling from Pods Solo Tuesday this last week. They are the nices people in person maybe some day you can meet them. GOD BLESS and have a great week see you next Sunday. 🦎💖🦎💖🦎💖🦎💖🦎💖
Water features have always intimidated me. That turned out absolutely beautifully. What a lucky little skink. She will love it! I killed my rabbits foot fern to -_- they are a bit to delicate for those of us with growing issues i think lol. Its so soothing watching your videos I am dealing with some major grief and your stuff helps me focus and heal. Thank you for qhat you do
Hi Elle! Thanks for all the amazing info! Is it ok to use the eco coconut fiber bricks for a rosy boa, Leapord gecko and a bearded dragon??? But mostly the snake? Thanks so much!! Stay beautiful😁💙 🐲
Love Crocodile skinks, they look like little dragons. How would you rate their degree of difficulty in keeping them from 1-10? Your enclosure came out awesome!
She's so incredibly easy. Just spraying the tank down everyday and feeding bugs. They don't need a large enclosure, they don't need a high hot spot (shouldn't exceed about 85°F). So the hardest part is probably just keeping the humidity up, but as long as you have a large water dish, even that isn't difficult. 🥰
Will someone explain to me why it is that for some reptiles you handle them so they get used to you and others you DON"T handle them to get used to you? It seems to me that Crocodile Skinks are given a pass and allowed to be scared of human interaction for their entire lives but other reptiles who would otherwise be the same way are forced to "get used to it". Also, if a reptile is this shy and there is no way to break this habit why are we forcing them into cages to begin with? What is the point of having a creature if it hates you and would rather hide all the time? This comment.question is not meant to piss anyone off, just curious. I love these little creatures. I think they look amazing and I love the type of set up you can build for them. It is my favorite kind of build. Live plants, running water and such is something I try to do with all my reptiles. So these Crocodile Skinks are right up my alley in terms of the type of reptile I want to have. But this "don't handle" thing really has me confused.
So, as long as you get a captive bred crocodile skink, you can usually handle them down. They're all pretty shy, but captive bred usually DO get used to humans. Reptiliatus here on RUclips has multiple CB croc skinks that he tong feeds - they have no problem coming out to him. I'm not sure if you follow him on IG, but he's always posting feeding videos of his (he also captive breeds them, so he starts them early with handling 😊) I was sold mine as a captive bred from a reptile show (which looking back, the table was a bit odd, but since this was a dream animal of mine, I unfortunately didn't notice at the time. I was just so excited to finally find one). When I took her to the vet, I was informed that she was most likely wild caught, because she had so many different kinds of parasites. 😔 Sorry about the confusion! Usually I explain this in all videos with her in it, but I guess I just assumed people would get tired of hearing it over and over, forgetting that some people haven't heart me explain it at all. 😅
@@ellesreptiles Seeing these on many videos over at Reptiliatus (am a fan of his channel also) and the review of them on Clint's Reptiles (also a fan) and you all saying the same thing is what made me post my comment. I guess what I am asking is... even with daily one-on-one time there is no way to have these little creatures learn to not fear you and actually want to spend time with you? I don't just mean at feeding time. My Water Dragons used to be scared of me and the cats. Now they jump out of the cage into my arms when I open the door. They even have learned to completely mess with the cats, teasing them constantly.
So comment section. I really want to do a waterfall feature in my ball python enclosure I'm building a 4x2x2, obviously she doesn't need it I just want to do it. However I've been told not to because of bacteria. Thoughts?
She might 😂. We'll just have to do like we did in the last water feature - keep a check on it and spot clean. We don't run the waterfall at night, which is when she's active, so we shouldn't have to worry about clogs. 😊 As for just cleaning it, we used the water bowl so that we can just turn the pump off, scoop out the water, and wipe it all down 😊
Croc skinks are unfairly cute to be as shy as they are lol. That's a cruel combo, mother nature.

Wow! This enclosure is beautiful!! The waterfall turned out so nice and I hope she’s really happy in there. How could she not be?🦎❤️🦎
🥰🥰🥰
Wow great job on the bioactive setup with the waterfall that crocodile skink must feel in his natural habitat it looks amazing
Thank you! 🥰
Looks amazing. My wife and I are looking to do something like this with our crocodile skink pair.
I am currently binge watching your videos and your channel deserves so much more!! The way you present your videos and your voice is just amazing!!
Awww thank you so much. 💜
Great video. The skinks are wonderful!
I love crocodile skinks 🥰
Beautiful outcome on the enclosure!!!

Congrats on the new Tarantula! 🎉 I'm glad you had a good experience with them! Working with them has been absolutely wonderful 😊

Yes have known them sents this last summer.
Honestly i really like that bowl waterfall setup. I think I'll try something like that for my BP I'm eventually going to get
Good morning Elle, have an amazing Sunday!! That tank is wonderful!! Does you're skink actually swim in that little pond?
I hope your Sunday is amazing as well! I haven't caught her in this one yet, but she was always in the last one so 🤞🏽
@@ellesreptiles thank you Ma'am. I hope you can catch her and film it, that would be great.

We have the same dog bowl for our ball python! It’s amazing we got ours at the dollar store very durable!
This was so cool!!!! I’m thoroughly inspired!!!
The skink is adorable!
Love these amazing animals! Great video.
Awesome job on build
Do you play piano? Holy moly, your fingers are long and graceful. Great video, BTW!
Haha I can play Mary Had A Little Lamb and the first bit of Fur Elise... That's the extent of it. 😅
And thanks!
They look like little dragons
Yea they do! 😊
Has the pump held up despite the skink kicking substrate into the water all the time?
This looks fantastic. Is there a filtration system for the waterfall to stop bacteria from growing in the water?
Thassa purty tank! Great job! 🐍💜
Thanks 🥰

How much was this all together and what was the size of the tank
What’s the size tank you used for this??? I’m looking to upgrade the size of all my crocodile skinks tanks
This one is a 20g long, but you can definitely go bigger if your skinks aren't like mine and don't hate space 😅
Thank you so much!

I really like the background, is there anyway to find out who makes it?

Good Morning/Afternoon Elle I am looking to get a reptile but can't decide between a leopard gecko and a crested gecko which one would you prefer ?
Crested geckos are my all time favorite 🥰
Its so funny to hear thats the biggest brommie youve owned when ive got one out back that needs a trolly to be moved lol
I would love a crocodile skink but where I live they are not allowed😔
Like not allowed in your home? Or not allowed in the state/country you live in?

Isn’t she just going to use the waterfall as a toilet which will clog it up? Can we have a video about how you clean it?
