I did the same thing on my o2 sierra swapped over power locks, windows, power mirrors electric seats about a year ago but never have been able to figure out the wiring. Your a life saver can't wait for future videos. Keep up the good content
Nice. One thing I would love to do for my OBS is add factory locking system from the OEM key fob. That would open up a couple other convenience mods I'd like . Love that you're doing it wire for wire, tab for tab as factory as possible
I heard that some 01/02 trucks (maybe 00' as well) can be plug and play (where youd only need the window reg and door harness), where you just plug the harnesses in the junction box's on the sides of the dash, if they were wired for them from factory obviously.
What you said was is true I did the swap on my 04 on one door and no go. But you can get around that by making your own switch panel. No it's not factory but you will have pw.pl... great video man
Great video as always. Cant wait to see it all done. We did this swap on my buddy's 99 NBS a few years ago and swapped over the entire dash harness like you are going to. It wasn't too bad except for moving everything over of course. One thing you might watch for is he kept his original BCM because of his VIN and he had to have it flashed with a Tech II to get it to work right with the swap. I dont know if that was specific to his 99 NBS (as I know those first run NBS can have some quirkiness to them) but just a tip just in case.
i did a table test with 02 switches and a 12v battery and figured out what each wire did on the oem switches, got factory locks working with some positive relay triggers. lights and everything works like factory, just need a ignition on for power. can share my knowledge if ur interested.
have you ever thought about putting a viper alarm on one of the trucks ? maybe this same one. very interested in watching the correct way in installing one!
Will this swap work using the interior of a 2000 Silverado 2500 to a 1500? Interior wiring from doors to dash and seats. I assume doors and seats can be made to work. Was unsure of the dash wiring/cruise control/etc.
Hey twa so i just bought a 2000 silverado 1500 SC and its no power locks and crank windows and the doors have dents and scratches so my question is i wanna pull off some doors from the junkyard that have power windows and locks what year truck would i need to pull off of and would i need to run power to the harness and a different bcm or what would i need ? Thanks
So I have an 01 extended cab that already has power windows, mirrors and locks that got hit in the doors and found doors from an “identical” 06 and bought them without knowing about the different way they were powered. In this case it’s just a matter of transferring the harness, switches and door panel from the bad door to the other?
Question: when I got my scsb truck, the prior owner had converted it to power windows etc. However, it has drivers door switch from a 4 door truck, I'm not sure about the wiring. My question is, can I just swap the driver door switch cluster? are they interchangeable plug and play? I really don't like have 4 window switches on a 2 door.
@@TWAMotorsports cool good informative video too by the way I was thinking it was gonna be a lot more shit involved but you made it look nice and easy I can’t get to cocky tho you’re a lot more skilled and knowledgeable than me lol
I attempted to do this swap, i have an 05 sierra got door harnesses, door lock actuators, window regulators, and passenger door switch, i havent been able to get my hands on a driver door master switch, and bcm from an 05 sierra w pw/pl, programmed the bcm, and so far i have no power on any of my wires at all, not sure whats going on, i know i am missing the dd master switch but i figure at least i should have some type of signal that will tell me i am doing ok, truck works fine, no problems with security light or anything like that, any ideas from you guys???
I have a 2000 silverado. If i cant find a 2000, regular cab, would a extra be a good donor as long as its 2000-2002. Its so hard finding a regular cab.
@TWAMotorsports I love your vids on this very in depth and informative. I also love that green is it a factory color for 99-02. Also what might work. The extra cab dash out of a 2000-02 for my 2000 or the dash out of a 01-02 for my 2000.
So let me get this straight, you made an hour plus long video to do a task that takes about 15 minutes a door without showing how to connect power and make the switches operable? Thanks for wasting my time
I have an nbs myself and have been trying to do the same thing to my truck. I appreciate the video and can not wait for part 2!
Thank you. A few more videos to come.
Adding factory features always feel better than if it came with it. Awesome content as always 👍🏾
I agree and thank you

Hopefully we can get it lined out
first actual video that shows how to actually do it
very excited to do it on my 2000 sierra
Wanted to make it really indepth
Just time consuming
Gosh I love the green truck!
Thank you. Me too
Hey Travis I have been wanting an NBS for years but seeing your content was the push to get one! Just picked up a green 06 suburban. Thank you!
Awesome. Now to mod it.

Yeah We will see. Some 99s did have weird things
I’m going to follow yours steps👍👍nice video man 💯
Thank you
Incredible work as always Travis looks like a little too much work for me

Interesting video, looking forward for the dash removal!!!! ✌🏻

Thank you but I have decided to swap the hole dash.
Would this work to swap 02 switches into a 04?? if so id be interested to talk with you
It could but would be custom wired.
@@TWAMotorsports you think a 5 pin relay to the lock switch would do it? Sorry I know you didn’t really wanna talk about 03+
Not sure
Nice video Travis.. have a great weekend 🤙👍😎
Thank you Keith. You too

I may do that on something in the future

It should if its is same body style

Need all behind dash wiring too. I cover all of what is needed in this series
Awesome 😎 been waiting on this.
More to come
Bought doors out of a 2500 gmc 2004 for my 99 1500. Thinking about just swapping the whole door. My truck is already 5 different colors
Those won't work with electronics of 99-02. I specifically said that when starting this swap
@@TWAMotorsports what about Tahoe doors listed for 99-02 Tahoe's. TIA
No. Different wiring harness on drivers door anyway
Great nbs content!
Thank you

That is correct
@@TWAMotorsports Thanks, I appreciate the reply.
@JR-sv8ho you're welcome
Aye man I have a 2002 base model Silverado, but I was wondering if swap everything out from a 2003 Denali if I can covert it to electric?
No

No they are different but you can try
I know you said you’re not gunna answer questions about the 03 model year but what about C/K OBS 88-98 would you say it’s somewhat similar
I would imagine

Awesome work Travis. Love your channel. Are those silverado mirrors? They look smaller. Would love to find some of those for my truck
Thank you. They are street scene
Wifes 03 I swapped everything from a yukon denali. Do not use a suv dash harness. Will work but things are weird
Good info
@@TWAMotorsports theirs a extra harness that goes to the rear of a suv. I'm gonna find a well option truck and swap dash.
Yeah I would always want to use a truck
@@TWAMotorsports had a free yukon sis it 2 years ago never thought of it
I gotcha
Installed 01 GMC power windows and lock doors on a 02 Chevy manual door truck any advice
Made a whole series of videos that explains what I did here
My 2002 has power locks but manual windows. Is it easy to add power windows?
Still the same process
Doing this swap on my 04 sierra.

Extra cab will have more and different wiring
Is this the same concept for like a 05 Silverado ? I have a complete Escalade harness including BCM ?
Pretty similar
Did it work?
Mine works great
I’d like to do a power window conversion on my 2005
Way More work and need a new body control module

Hey twa I did this swap and now my truck is in security mode and won’t start I need some help if anyone knows what I need to do
Sounds like bcm isn't matching key. Need to use hp tuners to turn off vats like I show in the videos
What year is parts truck? Does that matter ?
2002. Needs to be same year if possible
The process is similar to the 03 ups except you swap bcm to.
Bingo
How do I convert my 04 chevy truck to... Just kidding :) Love the video,
