God of Long Finishers, God of Walking, God of fucking hell this game looks shit... The brute nature is now in the finishers but instead of giving you short animations that continue the gameplay quickly you get long ass finishers. Also combat looks to get boring soon, we don't see any weapons swaps and seen as "Rage of Sparta" seemed to activate an insta-kill cutscene... I don't feel good right now.

Corey Barlog became a father just before this project and then his Dad Feels drove him to throw a fit until Sony let him make a GOW game about himself- through Kratos- nurturing and raising a son. He probably cried watching his own cutscenes. Chains of Olympus did this plot much better like a decade ago. And the result was that Kratos could not be redeemed. He has steeped himself in the blood of his enemies, and knows even when his daughter's soul can be with him at last, he doesn't deserve it, and that heaven is not his place.
I dunno, like yeah, I played god of wr for the mindless epic action, but I still found Kratos somewhat fascinating. He basicly got screwed by the gods since he was a child, they turned him into exactly what they feared. And Kratos was not just a violent bully, he actually had quiet some mental problems, but no matter how shitty it got, the gods never gave him a rest. In part one he wanted to just end it, no matter the outcome, but they didn't let him. They thought they do them a honor with it, but they just made it worse and then betrayed him when the obvious happened. I think with defeating them, he finally over came his madness,by getting rid of what caused him so much pain over all this years and was finally able to let go. Yes, his past will allways be a part of him but I still love that he tries to not be controlled by it anymore.
I think Kratos got a pretty sweet deal after GOW1 and kept pushing his luck. Athena was just being honest when she said forgiveness doesn't heal something psychological like nightmares of his sins. That's something he has to bear on his own.
Come on Kratos be fast at killing those norse gods. You still have Cinese, Japanese, Maya, Christian, Aztec, Celtic and many other Mythologies to visit.

Kratos unapologetically committed genocide on millions of innocents in the last game and murdered an entire pantheon of gods for the sins of one... and suddenly having a son nullifies all that? his murderous rampages aren't just 'for the greater good', doing what is necessary shit, it's homicidal megolamania on a global scale, you don't get 'redeemed' from that
