I visited Frankenstein's Garage and was reminded that life can turn on a dime.

Love the Caddy Truck. $10.000 from completion! Great Job with the chrome parts. 1961 Impala lights. Wishing you Rapid Recovery.

Good for you, not giving up. My last build was a 1972 Ranger XLT short Bed. I did the Crown Vic Front End swap and some mods to the FE engine. It's a great looking truck with nice original front seat. Nice paint and body. The problem is I don't drive it for the same reason that happened to you. Some idiot with no license no insurance or ID hit me broadside in an intersection in my 06 Civic. Flew all the way across the intersection against the curb. I came out without a scratch. Unbelievable impact. But those side air bags saved me. So I purchased a new Forester Touring and said to heck with it. Turned one bay of my 3 car into an art studio. I turn 70 next summer and I could have quite a few more years as an artist painter. From Indy.
I really wanted to get into rat rods. We were going to rat out my nephew's late model Roadmaster wagon. Probably won't now. He can still use the garage if he wants to do it and I'll help him along a bit but that's it. Sadly I'm finished. It's just that life out there has changed so much 55% of the people driving are on mental meds of some sort and others are on street drugs and yet others are half awake and don't give a dam. My 1st build at 15 yrs old was a 40 Ford Delux Coupe. Swapped a New crate 70 Z28 short block in it. Purchased an Offy 4 deuce intake at a swap meet. Looked really sharp and ran well. I had allen head cap screws for all the pans and covers. Cougar rear end and Muncie 4. I had a 63 GP, 64 ss Impala, 70 GTX. It was all great times and I'm still here to tell about it. Glad to see you making it through this shit and still doing what you can. Keep at it brother! It will be over before we know it.
