I was fitted in Texas for PXG irons. Hit the Gen5 much better than the Gen6. Surprisingly, the fitter told me that in all his iron fittings since the Gen6 came out, about 50% hit the Gen5 better. Strange.
Great experience at the PXG store. I currently play the Gen 4 311 xp. I was curious to see any difference between the Gen 4 and Gen 6. My fitter was very honest. In the simulator I was hitting my current Gen 4 just as far as the Gen 6. Noticed no big difference. Hence, I stayed with my Gen 4s. Only difference was I was getting a higher ball flight withnthe gen 6, not by much. Fitter was very honest with me. It was not worth spending $$ for the new Gen 6.
Gen6 is getting some legit attention...a big step up for PXG...good time for an upgrade...good time for a hybrid...good time for a wedge gapping...a good time all round really...
I just got fitted at PXG a few days back. My number as far as club head and ball speed are almost identical. I did not gain 10 yards actually my old irons and the new gen 6 are almost identical too. I’ve got a good job and loved the new look so a bought them but if you’re on a budget just buy Taylormade M2 for $499 I play at a 6 handicap
Currently play the pxg 0211 gen 1 irons and love them! Thinking of moving to the gen 4 driver from my sim max do we think that would be an upgrade? I’d love feb 6 but too expensive for me at the moment
So now you can donate (tax right off) your Gen 5s to the poor guy down the street (me). 🤣 I ain't too proud to beg. Great video as always. Let's Goooo!
Great content. Thank for sharing. Question - your attack angle with a 7 iron is very shallow at roughly 1 degree down, which is not surprising because your swing plane appears fairly flatish. Has anyone ever tried to convert you to a steeper attack angle? I only ask because I have similar numbers and golf swing plane as you, and I never could get myself to feel comfortable on a steeper attack angle.
Tech can not add 10-15 yards to a 7i in just a skip in generation....So the gen 10's should produce a 205 yard 7i? I think not....unless they make 7i lofts equaling a 4i. Gen 6 have a stronger lofts compared to the previous gen's. I would not be surprised if the loft on the gen6 7i equals gen5 7i.
Yep coming from a higher ballflight I chose to get the p which is stronger loft. This is what worked for me at this particular time! Appreciate you so much for watching!
Lofts have been the same since Gen4, but only strengthened 1 degree since they've been making clubs. This isn't a PXG trend either, its an industry trend
The thing that keeps me away from PXG is that the new stuff is priced ridiculously high, but as soon as it is last year's model they sell them for almost nothing. The people buying the new stuff are just getting ripped off.
@@tigerwoodz86 Prices all over are high, but that's not really true that PXG is ultra expensive when compared to all of the other big names. Their Gen 6 driver is more than $100 less than TM, Callaway, Titleist. The new irons are maybe $100-$200 more than a set of forged irons from the big name brands but they make quality irons
you gave up 1000rpm across the board on the irons. they are improvement irons, different degree. i hope they gave you these clubs on the free and some walking around money, good for you bro
He has the wrong driver shaft for his speed and launch. Dude needs to be launching that thing way higher. Your carry number is what you want, not the roll out yardage. You’re not a 75yo looking for low rollers. Questionable fitting for sure. Fitter seemed to lack experience and knowledge. Just trying to sell you on distance.
How can you do a fitting video and not mention the shafts/specs you’re trying? Or did they not actually do a “fitting” and just hand you the new gear to swap with the old?🤦♂️
It's just supposed influencer free product handed to someone with ADD... Matte finish matte finish Matt finish no spec talk no loft talk. Only reason the 7 iron went 10 more yards is the loft differences. However he lost spin so now it's a few yards longer but not spinning enough.
Thanks for the question Steve I'll put the specs in the comment section! I forget because I'm not a numbers person just a feel golfer. I'll get that up soon!
Yep it's their expertise so I let them do the talking! So I trust them and I go based off feel! I went with the lower loft because recently I have been hitting it higher and too spinny. Appreciate you for watching!
Fully bag of Gen 6 will run you 4k + ? I just don't understand why PXG releases a new product like sugar daddy wedges for 500 then discounts them right away to 299? It just weird business model to be honest. everything is marked down? they offer way to many clubs for all discounted stuff.
it seems like the pxg hype is all gone after the messive price cut after the ultra premium marketing. First high paying pxg owners like me so pissed and the pxg looks like a Spalding golf clubs.
Trackman literally provides PGA Tour averages from all the data they collect at tour events. The average 7 iron clubhead speed is 90 mph and the average ballspeed with that 7 iron is 120 mph. Of course, there are outliers on both sides -- a few who can get it to the 100 mph mark with a 7 iron, and a few who are down in the lower 80s.
Loft of the gen 5 0311t 7 iron is 32 degrees. Loft of the gen 6 0311p 7 iron is 30 degrees. You did not pick up 10 yards, you went from swinging a strong lofted 7 iron to swinging a 6 iron with a 7 stamped on it. Love the channel, but golf marketing is a scam.
Yes sirr appreciate the comment! I have been hitting it rather high so that is why I went with the lower lofted clubs. It is for sure what you have said about the degrees. Appreciate the support!
Sorry but the fact thes push PXG golf balls which you never used before..even you can't get the actuall feeling..i would good marketing but more experienced staff needed..not hating its just an opinion.
This is so rediculous. Every year the irons just go further and further supposedly. This years 7 iron goes 190 yards and then next years 7 iron will go 210 yards and then 2 years from now the 7 iron will go 230 yards? At some point this doesn't make sense all to fool the average golfer that doesn't know any better when all they've done is just strengthened the lofts like crazy to sell you this years new clubs. For crying out loud what would you hit the 4 iron 300 yards. There is a reason why there is 14 clubs in the bag. We get use to hitting a certain iron a specific distance. Who wants to keep hitting that same iron 10 to 20 yards further every year so that you have no clue what distances you hit each iron anymore. What would you hit a Pitching wedge 165? And then how many wedges would you need to finish the set like 6 so that you have a super duper lob wedge that hits 100 yards. And why would I want a face so thin that you could risk it denting or cracking if you hit it too hard one time. We want clubs to last. At some point this just gets rediculous. Tiger hasn't changed the loft of his irons forever because he wants to hit them a certain distance. If he wants to hit the ball 10 yards further then he grabs the next club up. That's why there is 14 clubs. He doesn't say I want my 7 iron to be 4 degrees stronger now so that I feel like I'm all the sudden hitting the ball farther. Cmon man the iron sets don't even make sense anymore because you just keep changing the lofts so much stronger. 30 degrees of loft is 30 degrees of loft whether it says 6 on it or 7 or 8 or whatever.
You are definitely amped. But a note. Talk less and let the fitter talk more. He has knowledge he could have shared with your viewers and you kept cutting him off.

Bro said "I play a DECENT amount..... I play EVERYDAY." 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah does he realize he is living my dream!?
You can do it too my man!
GEN6 baby let’s go!!
Luke... love your grind... keep the faith brother. Congrats on the new sticks!! Please tell me you are entering the Good Good tournament!!!
Stephen! Appreciate you so much my brother! I am still waiting to hear back.
The power of marketing in Golf never ceases to amaze
They prey on simple minded, ego-driven people. Dumb consumers make the world go round
Gen6 is getting some legit attention...a big step up for PXG...good time for an upgrade...good time for a hybrid...good time for a wedge gapping...a good time all round really...
Bunbun the perfect time for a hybrid! Time for tourney time!
I went to a fitting yesterday and the Gen6 with 105 shaft was a 185 yard 7i. Effing butter.
LETS GOOO
Guess what 🫢I got a hybrid…
New putter as well lol
Did you order all new pxg series 6 clubs irons and woods

Aye my boy is from Monroe. Love to see a wa RUclipsr ❤️
Watching that video really makes me want to get new clubs. I’m playing a second hand, play it again set.
As David says Bangers airy week!!
Yes sirrr Sean!
My man gonna have the whole nation buying sugar daddies!
HAHAH I love them!
David fit me as well, super chill dude.
What was your swing speed with the driver
Around 108 mph
@@LukePeavyGolf figured a little over 100 108 definitely should have 260 carry
Hey man. I live over in braselton. If you ever wanna link up and play chateau or anything around. Lemme know. Could be some great content.
Me too

What pants are you rocking?
I believe in this video they were adidas!
Luke: Now that you are being fitted and getting Gen 6 clubs, can I get your old ones(LoL) or maybe you can do a competition or something for them.
Taylor, Dan, and Cameron at PXG Seattle are money. Gen6 all the way.
Rumor has it you played well in Utah. Are the new clubs in the bag already?
We shall see in a few weeks...
Im going with wilson Dynapower irons for less than a half of a set PGX irons…
Have you applied for the good good tourney and reached out to Rick Shiels for the YT Masters?
We shall wait and see....

I have not! I usually am just a very feel player and just see what works haha. Appreciate the question!
Which clubs did you like better Brian‘s or Jake’s
Apples to apples, the P has a stronger loft than T
Let me get your old set! 😂

He went a different type of club. From a players iron to players distance.
If PXG wasn’t the cost of a truck I’d try em out 😂

Luke your average club head speed probably needs to come up a touch my man. Just a thought, 84 is around 20 less than the average pro's.
What pro has a 104mph 7 iron?

Cuz you need a players iron. You’re not good enough for the T model

Sorry but the fact thes push PXG golf balls which you never used before..even you can't get the actuall feeling..i would good marketing but more experienced staff needed..not hating its just an opinion.
Courses are too long cuz you play the incorrect tee boxes. As a 6 handicap, you should not play the back tees
