TBH they need to integrate PlugY stash frankly, Because its 2020 you shouldnt Need a Mule AT ALL and having to Perm a game and hope the servers dont go down to get an item from one toon to another is esoteric, ancient, trash hold over from 2000

we might be in 2020 but its still a 2000 game and its limited what you can do, yes plugy works, but for multiplayer thats a very different story.
@@Diffex89 even so, are we saying that even just adding tabs is not doable? Because I believe that’s a thing in Median XL Sigma. I mean if they can’t do shared stash at least add extra tabs.
Many times the POD devs and these devs have said it’s impossible to do online, which is why they just expanded the stash instead
I've sunk far more time into Project D2 than I expected to, despite missing launch day. It's an incredibly addicting version of the game, be it single player or multi. It's super easy to set up, features so many QOL changes while keeping it difficult but fair (for the most part) and it's striving to be a clean market, while having some competitive elements with the race to 99 and clone diablo kills. I would highly recommend trying it!
Senpai and co have knocked it out of the park so far and were working non-stop this first week. Huge props to them and any who are helping refine the game!
Thank you for the videos and info I work full time and I am glad someone like you can pass this info on to me, because I don’t have the time anymore to do the kind of research I would have done back in the day. Feels great to life the old days again. The one thing I do miss is PC cafes it was so much fun doing Baal runs with all your friends in the same location. Maybe one day it will come back. Keep doing you.

@@TheCooderix iirc the mod fullly functions in single player and theres even an installation Guide of Project D2 with Plugy (in Discord). Updates should also be easy to get (just start the launcher and update when there is an update, else just start Plugy and play).

I absolutely freaking love the inventory/charms change. As much as I love D2, charms were the worst. I think it might literally be my most hated gameplay mechanic in any game ever. Removing them outright and rebalancing around that would have been fine with me too, but then they'd have had to come up with a good alternative for the legendary charms. This compromise solves the issue as well as possible.

From my testing, the 20% effectiveness for breaking immunities is still the same in PD2. Just Conviction and Lower Resists have been nerfed to the ground. A Lvl 20 Conviction now has -50% resistances, that means that the max you can actually break with + skills is 110% (since Conv caps at -70%, which is -14% flat when breaking an immunity). Tried to get this through to the devs, but no luck, if you can somehow communicate this to Senpai, Llama I would very much appreciate it. Seeing you talk about how the difficulty is for this mod, as a solo player, really discourages me from continuing to level my character on the ladder. Shame, I wanted to go deep on this but I don't want to rely on having other people to play with.

Bloodraven was hard first time because I did not know she has been reworked :D But while server where down I easly killed her on norm and nm with my zeal0r on players 8 easyli :D
i died so many times. there were 5 players and so many dead bodies. 3veryone was a sorcerer too, but she took so much damage.

@@Snugs_TTV i think it will change as soon as u get over the curve but it takes a bit longer to get over it, even in solo play u got very strong to a point when it was quite boring.. u will prob enjoy it more but it also require more time into it.. and everyone doesnt have that amount of time

3 years later still going strong
My summoner Necromancer has had the easiest time ever. I’m swapping between vanilla Necromancer summoner and Project Diablo 2 Necromancer summoner.
The necro teleport makes a summoner so much faster. Because you cast your summons on the bosses. And the summons are stronger than vanilla.
In vanilla I was already doing the same with a tele charge on switch weapon. If you can manage your money and pick up alot of ort rune to repair in cube its doable.
In pd2, from my experience, corpse explosion suck and skelly are weak in hell. However going all in with golems is way better. Switching between 5 fire golem + lower resist and 5 clay golem + amplify damage depending on the fire resistance of the monster make it a pretty good hell build.
I soloed hell in hardcore pretty easily with this setup.
Each of my golem are making 3k + damage and fire golem each have a fire aura doing 600+ damage every ~2 seconds.

i really like the melee splash thing ... that is gonna enable so many builds ... like two hand hipster charge paladin willl probably work.
Mods kept my interest in the game for years after I grew bored of closed battle net. Hell Unleashed was my flavour and after getting a taste of the increased difficulty and team play, there was no going back. The small community was the drawback, many grew accustomed to running their own support char through alt tabbing -w mode.
Llama definitely knows everything about being over the hill.
Only plans to get to 59 years old.

solo aint crushed at all, im soloing maps currently ^^ i still love PoD but PD2 is a really good mod ^^ id deffo recommend to try it out

How did you get the test characters in single player?
Would be great to test out builds when servers are down.
Attacker takes damage on a WW barb probably works great. You can easily get 5K dmg, 10K with optimized gear. By the time a monster you’ve already hit hits back, it’s probably dead. Especially with some amp dmg from a merc.
Servers are constantly down. It's been a week and I still haven't gotten the torch

I honestly didn't have an issue at all I went from normal to he with randoms with a bowazon using valks and ice I literally didn't die until dolls in hell because of the bug which they funny enough killed you. I think hybrid specs of minions are the most op atm especially the 3 valks I have atm which are unkillable
is the webcam getting worse?
I'm interested in getting back into Diablo 2 after being away for about 8 years. The remaster is a main reason for coming back. Can we expect to see this version in the remaster?

I believe the devastating have said that it's not going to be possible for these mods to work on Resurrected. Hopefully that changes one day but for now I would say that if it does it will not for a very long time.
But how does it compare to Path of Diablo? PoD has set the standard thus far for D2 mods.
I enjoy this more because it's harder imo. But I'm sure plenty prefer POD. Both are fun!
I have mixed feelings. I also at least like the idea of full-support characters being viable... on paper. But when it's not an MMO, when there's a bit more expectation of being able to solo, I prefer if you have that emphasis on support/utility in a game system where it's reasonable to switch from DPS to support.

Project Diablo 2 is 50/50 for me, they completely gutted the strong vanilla builds making them a complete lackluster & made some unnecessary removals. They put a lot of hard restrictions up in terms of overall gameplay few examples would be (teleporting & where you can teleport) (skills & summon caps) & much more which completely takes away what Diablo 2 was. I wont disagree to the fact that teleport was overly used & is top priority for most builds, my issue with it is how it was handled by overly sabotaging it. When you first start your characters with below to average items, you will have a hard time as soon as you hit hell difficulty. For some classes that were changed they now want you to spend 80 points in just damage synergies & to me this is completely unacceptable as your survival rate will significantly be reduced which they also nerfed survivability I also wont even forget to mention that they moved some skills down in the skill trees so that you're forced to spend extra points that should be available earlier on for some builds but now aren't even possible anymore, you aren't really given a choice it becomes a lose-lose situation. They didn't bring any old builds up to par with hell difficulty, they simply overly nerfed good builds to what now feels like nightmare difficulty standards, the overall feel of combat does not feel the same & to me killed the overall Diablo 2 experience.
I like the QOL changes below but the combat, itemization, & skill trees that I feel they got most of it wrong.
QOL changes some new skills, improved stash & inventory size, game & item filter, world shards, maps, great community, admin & mods that monitor servers for exploits are really what it has going for it.
I made a new sorc last night and joined a public game. Me and 3 others got fucking DESTROYED by blood raven. Never happened to me before. 10/10 would reccomend.
torch and annilus could use a rework....make both become an item that boost stats accross ALL char meeting the lvl req.....whenever a torch is found it instead has chance to unlock the use for a class..stats wise it copy the hightest number ever found so that it eventually get perf stats....if the Torch is active deactivate 2 of the charm slots....same for Annilus for all of these(minus class since it never had class restriction)..in Gheed Charm case it should have its own special slot and should not deactivate any charm slot as it doesn't affect dps....this way its more efficient and no transfer between chars needed....also the deactivation of 2-3 charm slots upon acquiring those 2 special charm is to leave the slots open for LLD while a character doesn't meet the req to use either the torch or annilus

I've been enjoying but there are definitely issues. Especially on the solo front. Playing without those support characters makes a big difference and having that damage nerf across the board really limits build diversity. In PoD I was really easily capable of going frozen orb hydra sorc but in PD2 even if you are putting every skill point into efficient synergies it still feels like you are never getting stronger, let alone trying to split damage types so you can take care of immunities.

Hey Llama. Great work on covering this mod. I would like a favor. Have you ever tried ZY-EL mod? It is by far one of my favorite mod for D2. Sadly it stopped at 1.09d D2 update. I wish someone would gather the team again and work for a "final" update sort of. The mod is just amazing, with so many items, hardness level The top, so much fantasy was put to that mod that honestly it needs the spotlight to shine again once more. I'm obsessed with it. Can you check it out please and maybe do a review? The guys have done an amazing work and it is sad to be lost.
i think you're confused about what Difficulty really means, that's at least what i think, just going from 100 health to 150 doesn't make the game harder, it just adds more time it takes to kill enemies. Which to me isn't adding difficulty it just makes it harder

Having more health increases difficulty, because they might actually be able to reach you to land a hit.

The game is all about one thing. How to get better than the next guy, faster with the less amount of effort possible.

I was loving PD2 until I fought Blood Raven. Beat her somewhat easy without dieing but I turned the game off afterwards because I thought it set the presence for the rest of the game. But I think I'll give it another go after what you pointed out.

Are there non-ladder characters in this mod, or are all characters reset when the servers reset? In D2, you choose ladder or non-ladder. Can you do that as well in PD2?

When all these QoL ideas were suggested for Diablo 2 Resurrected most people here who are cult followers of the true and only Diablo 2 would completly freak out.
For me its clear: Before I buy Diablo 2 Resurrected Id rather play a mod like this. Its a shame though that there is no shared stash.

now for solo, im using summon necro with curses, the graph changes *slightly* xd its much easier

lower resist give -50 resist at level 20
I kept my amplify damage at level 1 personnaly but it still help when I switch to clay golem
And the curse mastery skills (the passive curse skill not sure of the name) doesnt help that much the lower resist so I kept it at level 1.

I think I'll stick with Median XL unless the new maps turn out to be really fun. God knows I spent enough time grinding though LoD. There doesn't seem to be enough there for me personally. Luckily, I just started MXL so I'm not tired of it yet. Not even close.

PD2 is good for a new single player expirience, at least for me. Suddenly, many bugs existed on release, for example ebug corrupting, which are pretty same to original socket cube recipe but working on unique items which makes insane 5k+ eth armors which possibly getting indestructible by corruption and they could get up to 4 sockets by lazurk stones. Tbh in this state game is alot harder at the begining but end game items could be beyond godlike tier and push pretty any characters to the state where all the game is a cakewalk.

The increased difficulty is what I don't like about this mod. A hack and slash arpg game is supposed to be relatively easy end game, with GG gear. In this mod, it's a struggle to solo hell compared to vanilla D2 or Path of Diablo.
Why is the amazon only wearing bow and boots ?
If they want to slow the game down by decreasing player dmg and mob hp it would be nice to add a little more player tankiness as a tradeoff. Especially for the HC players.

@mike nothing I never said it was down all day every day. Just that it goes down at some point every single day. I know that's it's up, SOMETIMES, because I have a pvl 17 druid. But that doesn't take away from the down time every, single, day.
