Well the challenger hasn’t diverted much from its 2008 reintroduction as well aside from the 2015 facelift, that may play apart as well 💪🏽

I am rated at a paltry 317 HP? while my challengers asre 400HP plus. now 650 can't do it, but am respectable, plus my looks and sound!! 2 great looking cars with more than adequate power. I have a Mustang but Dodge is just so damn strong with those hemis. I am approaching 50 but it is awesome to see young American Muscle heads still out there. I have driven imports, and American, both have great vehicles. I think in the end just being car guys is what it's about.

@@sergiozamora3181 as a person who has owned both the pre - 15 challenger is faster look up the specs it’s almost half a second faster in the quarter mile and has a slightly faster 0-60 ... and it’s a widely known fact that 5.7 horsepower and torque is actually underrated

I feel like if the 4.6 had a couple more bolt ons like long tube headers, 4.10 gears, and maybe some thicker rear tires...you would've had a bit more fun racing the GT lol

All depends on what you’re looking for. 4.10s better off the line and In the qtr mile, 3.73s better for boost and highway

I had 05 Magnum RT.. 07 Charger SRT-8... And just picked up an 06 mustang GT... They are all nice.. but the El Camino would smoke all of them. Why? No 305 and I built it.. didn't just buy another car.. enjoy what you drive, no matter what it is..

Well, start getting a cam/head swap, change the gears in the diff... long tubes (sorry commie-fornia-shorties)... then a good tune... then you'll be rocking it. Maybe some weight reduction... carbon fiber hood, trunk, quarters, etc

Hood on these cars don’t weigh very much they are pretty much sheet metal design to crumble if you own one you would know this 🤔 Super Charger bolt on best route for instant power success.

That 4.6 is impressive people sleep on the 3 valves feel like getting one myself and modding the shit out of it but I love my 2 valve haha slow but I’ll make it faster slowly and surely

5:31 he only beat you once? lol well at least he got it down once. Those little 3v are pretty spunky for what they are 300hp stock for 4.6L which isn't bad at all, reasonably light car. I keep up with the big boy 5.0's up to about 70 then they just take off on me lol. But the 6 speed along with the 5.0 is a nasty mix if you have 3.73's or 4.10's. The 4.6 is 5 speed but still way faster than what 300hp sounds.

Ive beaten Chargers, Challengers, and 300s with the 5.7 with my 07 Mustang GT with just a K&N CAI. The R/Ts are just top heavy, but the 392s and above destroy me😂

Haven't raced a challenge yet. Got a charger daytona 5.7 off the line though at a red light. I have a 2010 mustang with a 3.73 rear end and it definitely helps my 0-60 if I can hook the launch. I've found that 2,000rpm is the best area to launch it from eith only the slightest bit of wheel spin.

4.6 3v need just k&n cai, fr spark plugs, super coils, short headers/x/cat back, 3.73, good tires on stock 17" wheels and fine tune ex. (cheaps programer).. and you will feel the power of your stang i promise..👍💪
That's horrible advice. The K&N intake is garbage and so is the BBK. Spark plugs do NOTHING for performance, coils do NOTHING for performance and shorty headers are a waste of money. The best performance gains on those cars will come from the largest diameter "cold air intake" like the airaid or jlt. Long tube headers and off road x or h pipe, cams and a custom tune. Throw in some shorter gears and sticky tires, get that drivermod dialed in and you have a decent little 4.6L that would beat stock or lightly modified Coyote's in the quarter mile.

Depending on the condition they're in, you can find a stang like that for $10-20k and you'll find an R/T like that for $25-40k. Based on the price difference I have to ask the question... "I is it really worth it to pay that much more based on the results?"
the charger is a lot more car for the money. 4 doors, comfy interior, touch screen, blue tooth, etc
it's heavier because it's nicer. it tries to be a do it all car
A few years back I had a Grabber Yellow 2007 Mustang GT with a transplanted 6 speed manual and tuned GT500 motor that made 755 rear wheel. It was insanely fast and dangerous too.

I have 07 Gt 5 speed completely stock except I installed kooks LTs offroad xpipe and magnaflow competition catback and never got a tune raced a challenger and shut him down. He pulled up to me at next light and said nice man, I said you have that thing wide open he said yes and drove off.
OK I only hear the R/ T only but is way louder than the Mustang but when it let off the gas it sounds quite should've delete muffler for the Mustang need some BBK headers too just saying
This dudes car has mods. Way more mods than hes sayin. A 3.7 v6 can beat an rt. A 3.7 and 3v are a drivers race stock for stock which usually the 3v pulls because of more torque. Ive done his race plenty of times.

Oh man i have my auto 06 4.6 bolts on stang stock tb and intak manifold and i was nick to nick with the 2011 srt8 chally from 25 to +120 mph it's all about how to use 1 2 3 D o/d shift On the exactly right point..
Belive me man 4.6 3v can run 0 to 60 in 4.5 sec with bolts on and do 1/4 in 12.7 @ 112mph ( no tb no intk.m) with the right mod..
at 1:03 the stang has the best grill out of any mustangs..those mustangs with the fog lights are the best looking mustangs of all time

Racing through the 3rd Street tunnel, down 2nd street near Beaudry, up Figueroa, then 1st street towards Beaudry in downtown L.A. isn't very bright as there's LAPD presence lurking when least expected(I saw a C7 Corvette split in half near where your last race took place on 1st street while street racing). You should use the entrance to the 2 freeway northbound off of Glendale Blvd to stretch out your pony cars. It's not far from where you are filming this video. That's a nice stretch before you hit any onramps or exits.

You need to push harder. Hard enough that any race can be your last. That's how winning is done in a Challenger. Definitly not for the faint of heart.

These comments. I admire the Challenger. It's built for men not boys. Does everything well. Test drove a 6sp R/T a few weeks back and fell in love. The R/T has plenty of power to have fun with. The ride is so smooth. You dont have to crawl in and out. The seats don't suffocate you. The interior is far superior to its competition. Big ass trunk. Definitely a cruisin car, everyday driver. It's no wonder all these mustang, camaro and ricer kids hate on it. Those cars make their drivers miserable. That's why they always look like they have a corn cob stuck up their butt. Just build a damn track/race car if that's all you care about. Some of us prefer classic styling with modern refinements...and to not have our buttholes clinched all the time.

Mike Gee false in my 06 tune only 3v ive never lost to a 5.7. Dont take someone numbers actually do real wolrd driving. Stock its even til i hit third gear. With just a tune i was leaving every shift.

Terminator X my 4.6 3v explorer walks 5.7 dodge rams... I’m 3 for 0 right now... as far performance these cars are identical in stock trim they both run 13.5ish and trap 103mph in the right conditions... I wouldn’t sleep in the 3v in 5.7 you don’t have any advantage unless you got a driver mod it’s a close race to say the least

I wanna race both of them just for fun but my 06 GT is light years faster than both of these cars but it would still be fun though. I'm the type of guy that just likes to ride in a nice and fast car and have fun from time to time but not dog my car all the time but it's highly capable and viciously quick.
I thought the mustang gt 2007 has 300 horsepower stock?? How much ya does the dodge have?
300HP stock at the flywheel. He is saying 290 at the wheels which would be around 330-340 at the flywheel. Not sure what the exact numbers on the challenger are but most likely somewhere between 350-380HP at the flywheel. But the challenger is heavier by about 500lbs so it shouldn't have won at all. That's why you see people in the comments saying the mustang owner cant drive. With a good experienced driver that mustang should have taken down the challenger.
I got a grabber blue 2010 3.73 gearing and its plenty fast...in perfect 31000 mile condition. Pusst mag fo sho....22000$ i paid. Way better value than dodge.
