Omg all that texture!! I'm obsessed! Especially in that whale piece!
Thank you so much!! I am in love with that one, too. That particular brand of sparkle ink seems built for painting!
I think you're going to get a *lot* of votes for that gorgeous whale, Maggie! Also, thank you for some very clear teaching through the paintings.
I've been looking at my inks again lately, and even took my W&N Indian ink and ceramic mini-ink palette out with me last Wednesday (I love doing monochrome work with that!), but got so absorbed in my French geography and language work that I drew absolutely nothing! Usually, the sketching is my 'reward' for doing the work....
So many ideas in my head for art work, but so much I need to catch up with, too, now I'm making good progress and feeling so much better!
Thanks again for another really helpful and enjoyable video - your enthusiasm for the medium shines through every time, and makes taking in the 'learning' really easy!
Emojis are not working again (why??? does anyone else have this intermittent issue with the emojis?), so please imagine warm, happy smiling face in this gap: [..................]
Lol! Smiley imagined! I'm glad you're getting so much done, and here's to hoping you get some time to do some monochromatic work soon! I do indeed just lurrrrve these two media and so glad it came across!!
Watching that blue ink spread on the whale is magical 💗 Now I need some of that ink! I love the rose gold appearing after it dries!
It's so pretty in a dip pen, too! So glad you enjoyed it ☺️👍❤️
I second that, gorgeous colour! Is it better for a dip pen than for a fountain pen?
@@meretekj_creates Yes, dip pen or straight brushes for this ink, it clogged up in every fountain pen I tried it in! I think they didn't make the glitter chunks small enough. Enjoy!!
Watching ink flow is absolutely my favorite things when it comes to art, I need to paint with it sometime soon 😍 and I loove how the whale turned out espacially with the lineart 😊💖
Thank you so much! Yes indeed, definitely get those inks and a water brush and go to town, so lovely to watch what it does! 🤗❤️👍
I rewatched this last night in bed and it was so satisfying! Art Block is impossible I think when you own granulating watercolours and inks - just watching the magic unfolding on paper is so satisfying, even if you don’t paint anything figurative you can easily just call it art and hang it up on your wall! Plus it‘s soooo relaxing and meditative! You topped it by creating something cute, of course ❤
You are so right! You showed an abstract piece in your most recent video and this made me think of that. Natasha Newton's pebble swatches are so gorgeous and they're just blobs of watercolor, but they're mesmerizing!!
@@CreatingCuteArt I could watch you or Natasha swatch all day long!
love your cute watercolour paintings, the owl looks fantastic! you are so good at creating fuzzy animals! the whale also look amazing and dreamy! love the wet on wet techniques, so satisfying to see colours extending like that, brilliant!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! That color spread is my favorite element, too!!
Wow! That whale is my favorite!!! That ink flow was the most satisfying thing ❤️. That whale needs to be a sticker with the pink glitter!!
Oh my gosh yes, it would be so cool with real glitter!! I wish I knew how to do that lol!! 🤣🤗❤️
Quite informative
Thank you for always helping you viewers learn new techniques
I'm so glad you liked it! I hope you thought the whale was cute! 🐋❤️👍🤗
thank you for sharing. Happy Sunday
Thanks for the visit!! 🤗
Love this! Thank you so much. I really wanted to see the granulating bit and it was very helpful but that whale, omg! Now I have to get some ink and try painting with it, just amazing. Thanks!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Whales are my favorite thing to paint with ink, I don't know why! 🤣☺️👍🤗
The Whale was by far my FAV!
Thank you! It was so much fun to make!
I’ve not played with anything granulating . Very neat texture and loved that turtle!
Aww thank you! If you get a tube of granulating black (pbk11 I believe) and mix with any plain old color it will make it granulating! A fun trick to see if you like it. sketches.n.scrubs has a whole video on it!
Lovely paintings 😍 I used to search for the most waterproof pen/ink. Now I love sketching with my fountain pen and using a water brush when I am out urban sketching. Still love my waterproof inks for my watercolor though ❤
This! ⬆️ I feel just the same way!
That whale is gorgeous! I only have one ink and it’s black but you’ve really made me want to give it a try again and create something 😊
Definitely play with water on the page and have fun! I love using black with water to create the cool ink effects here. Thank you for watching!
@@CreatingCuteArt You're right, I'm going to give it a go!
Me thinking throughout the whole video: I don’t need more inks, I don’t need more inks, I DON’T NEED MORE INKS!!! 😂😂😂 The Indian blue ink is gorgeous! 😍
Lol I do that every time I watch Sandi Hester's videos about allll the supplies 🤗🤣😂
Such an informative video and that whale painting is 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Oh my goodness, thank you!! 🤗❤️👍
My daughter loved the sparkly glitter from the DeAtrementis ink. I will need to order a sample and try them but not in my fountain pens :). Thanks for the fun video!
Yes definitely spare the pens and use the brush! I'm so glad she liked the whale!!
Superb art work my friend...
Thanks for sharing 😊☺️ stay happy and stay tuned 🤗
Thank you! 👍❤️🤗
I just love your whale. Fun video, Maggie!
Thank you so much, Miranda!! ❤️❤️

Thank you!!
Super duper dear friend 💞
Thank you!! 🤗❤️👍
great video! if it’s not too much trouble could you share the names of the bright blue and pink colors on the test page at 6:10 ? the footage moves around really fast and i can’t make out the writing very well 😅
Of course! Noodler’s Navajo Turquoise and Noodler’s Cactus Fruit Eel ❤️
@@CreatingCuteArt thank you!!
😀😀Thank you for your nice sharing! Dear friend~ wish you a nice Monday~~~~ : )_
You, too!!
Does the ink harm your watercolor brush at all? Thank you!
I use synthetic brushes and they’ve done well with it! I wouldn’t use my silver black velvet brushes with them, though 🤗
OK, good to know! Thank you very much!
Another question for you: can you use the ink for details over a watercolor painting, either in a fountain pen or using a paint brush?
