Hey guys! So good to be filming outside again. I hope you had a lovely week so far! Can you believe its already Thursday? One thing I've realised attempting this #30daychallenge is that time really does go by a lot quicker! It's day 11 of 30 days of daily uploads and I hope you guys are enjoying it so far. Let me know what other videos you want to see - looking for suggestions!

Hey! Great care tip video as always :) Since you're asking for suggestions as to what videos to make, I thought I might ask if you'd be able to do some type of update and perhaps more in depth care tip video for Alocasia Lauterbachiana? I remember you showed one off a little while ago, and the one I picked up a few months ago has started having some issues after I repotted him from (what I think was) Coco Coir, into a mix of potting soil and cacti mix :( Would be great if you had some info or tips to share!

Hey Annouymess! So sorry for the late reply! thank you so much for the comment and replying - I really appreciate it! Unfortunately my lauterbachiana is no more :( he passed away last winter and didn't come back from dormancy unfortunately. Lesson learnt is to keep the bulb dry and not let it rot which I did :( How is your lacterbachiana doing? i hope its doing better! actually i might do a video on caring for alocasias when they go into dormancy because I have a few that have survived!

@@jessypotplants Not at all, so sorry to hear about your lauterbachiana! Thankfully mine seems to be doing a lot better, I think it just needed more time to adjust from transitioning to such a radically different soil medium to what it was used to. Would still love a video on caring for Alocasias through dormancy though! I've got another big Alocasia outside on the balcony (the specific name escapes me) and have been tossing up whether to move it inside or not as it will receive a lot less light inside, but will be a lot warmer. Oh the decisions of being a plant parent XD

@@jessypotplants Thanks Jess! The mealys are all gone! I love rubbing alcohol. I bought a box of 100 small 5x5cm alcohol medicated wipes from chemist warehouse for $10. They are great. Just wipe the mealys off and kills them too. It's easier then buying the liquid alcohol.

I live in northern Michigan. And I just rescued my first plant of this succulent. And I'm very happy about it. But she is not full and has some dead parts on her. What do I do to save her?

I’m not sure what’s wrong with mine I got a string of dolphins from a grocery store two weeks ago it’s dropping stems and pieces of dolphins it looks like they could be rotting away but I’ve ruled out over watering or root rot I pulled it out of the pot to see and it’s root bounded and they look healthy right now it’s even in a bright south facing window with my other light loving plants
