It's already been addressed by another reply, but the last year of the V10's was 2005. There was a Toro Rosso with a V10 in 2006 but this was rev-limited so as not to get an unfair advantage.
I find it funny how they promote F1 with these engines (can’t tell if it’s the V8, 10, or 12) like this is what you’re going to get when you attend a race.
@@darkmatter6714, they simply don’t sound as awesome as an older F1 car. That said, they are damned impressive in person. The speeds are bonkers and they are louder than a RUclips video lets on. They have their own thing going on. Most of the people making these kinds of comments simply haven’t been to an actual race. If they had, they’d likely let it go, it’s beating a dead horse.

Can't wait for this because my parents own a condo / penthouse in Vegas and I'll be able to see the front straightaway off the balcony of our condo / penthouse and watch the race for free literally because they can't stop us from going into my penthouse well my parents spit house so we're all going to go there and watch the race. We was there for vacation it's so happened this F1 promo launch party happened that same week we were there so that was pretty epic
No. You won’t be able to watch if you don’t pay 1500 a head. They’ve already explained how they are going to use screens and spotlights to block vision. Think they can’t? Read about how they block cities on their race routes overseas. They’re very good at it. The citizens of Morocco that live ON the streets they race down can’t even see them race. Not even from above in high floor rooms so good luck.
I find it so amusing that to demo F1 they use older V8 cars. When new fans get to the track they must wonder when those cars they heard on the demo will be coming out... 😅
@@ericg962 Nah it's a V8. For at least 80% (conservative guess, it's probably like 95%+) of RB's marketing stunts they use one of their cars from 2010-2013 - all of which are V8s. And this is pretty distinctly the non-turbo V8 sound (a pretty epic engine even though it isn't a v10)
This is caused only headaches for people that live in Las Vegas trying to get back-and-forth to work. Frog closures were outrageous this is a waste of time.
When they used our tax money in Vegas to rebuild the streets in Vegas, and only did it in the strip for a money machine. Haha I'm in the wrong business. 😂
Is this serious or sarcastic? They spend a lot of money promoting themselves, but also Formula 1 as a whole which benefits all the teams involved. Formula 1 just had a showcase today on the strip to promote the inaugural race next year, just a day or two after this was shot.
This is incredible. Straight out of a Video game. This is actually insane.

I mean I’m pretty sure this is sponsored by the Vegas City Government so I doubt it’ll be a problem

Driving that car on the streets is my all time bucket list number 1. Baddest cars ever made!!
