    Evander is not just the most complete and greatest boxer of all time; he is an even greater human being. He has shown that even in defeat, he was gracious. Even in victory, he was understated. He is a classy individual. It is a testimony that he is not just Evander the real deal, but a real man - someone who can be classy and still break an opponent's eyebrow.

    Some fighters swear against lifting weights. Holyfield was one of the first to actually do a heavy lifting regimen. And it worked wonders for him. Tyson doesnt lift weights. He just destroys heavybags and he is an absolute physical specimen. I guess it just depends on the fighters. Whatever works for them.....

    Listening to Holyfield buck the critics and follow his own path makes it easier to understand how he was able to do the things he did in his career. He was written off so many times but we didn't understand just who he was back then, but he showed us! Also great to hear that his speech isn't slowed or anything at all. Commander Evander!

    I agree. Tyson peaked in the Spinks fight and was never the same again. Those two wars with Ruddock must have taken something out of him. I also think Holyfield had the strength of character that Tyson would always have had trouble with. We'll never know but logic dictates it would have been a closer fight.

    Please Evander.Dont give Tyson all the blame. All we need to do is lock at the first fight with Tyson.I cant remeber how many headbutts Evander used on Tyson before Tyson tried to headbutt back but it was many,many times in the first fight.The secound fight same thing.Evander headbutted Tyson time and time again.Tyson got a big cut because Evander lowered himself and went straight in to Tyson`s face with his head.

  • @Distortionsounds
    @Distortionsounds 11 лет назад

    u can like him or not, but he is the coolest boxer that ever walk this earth. i mean he goes on even if he is old, he forgave Tyson for the bite, he toke the fight up against some of the best boxers at the time, even if he knew that he may not win. i still think the best fightes he fought was against Riddick Bowe.. i really feel sorry for Ricdick Bowe, he so underrated.. i still believe that he 100% would had beaten the shit out of Tyson. shit he would even had been a bigger fighter then Tyson

      Let me play devil's advocate here...Maybe he was going light that rep, maybe Boxer's are encouraged to lift light instead of heavy bc heavy doesn't transfer into power in Boxing. Me personally, I use to Box, run Track (100 meters) & was a pretty good RB in football & I can tell you, lifting weights, especially heavy weights wore me out in the ring. I was told by many, leave the weights alone when training for boxing. They always said, if you're going to lift weights, then do it lightly. I hope this helps give you clarity on your thoughts about this.

    • @ivanhayes9478
      @ivanhayes9478 8 лет назад

      BreuckelensFinest . That's why we don't lift weights much only bodyweight movements. Like pull ups and pushups those are enough right there. To be honest

    • @dual7779
      @dual7779 7 лет назад

      Very heavy weights like 85% or more from your 1 rep max aren't bad actually. They won't make you bulky or slow. They mainly work for strength with minimal muscle gains. And raw strength is always an advantage in amost any sport.

    Bingo! And moreover he sawed a different Holyfield in the ring and said maaan this guy looks bigger, stronger than the first fight so he saw he was ready to give him a better beating so he quit by bitting Holyfield ear off twice. Holyfield push harder in this rematch that scared Tyson in the beginning of the fight and in few rounds....

    • @sandpaper631

      Na mike Tyson was just shit when he fought people that would actually fight back. People like buster Douglas, Holyfield, Lewis.

    • @Yomammi84
      @Yomammi84 8 лет назад +1

      Frank Stein- typical shit statement! EVERYONE fought back ( or at least tried to) in his early days! Fact is the only X he was AWESOME & UNBEATABLE was when he was trying wit Rooney! Post prison in 90's Mike was 1dimensional with no more speed, defense or technique! Lewis...FUKN serious?! That's how stupid u r! Mike was a shadow! Fighting for $!
      ...And Douglas... He fought a great fight.. But it wouldn't of mattered against Tyson from 88! By that X the writing was on d wall. And saw he wasn't himself! I'm sure he said " FUK! I thought this was gonna b a cake walk! Dam I shoulda trained instead of partying my ass off!!" Truth is Mike didn't train and had to lose 20lbs just to make weight! He took busta very lightly and parties and FUKN Japanese girls in Tokyo! Even got kdown in sparring!!
      .. That fight Mike looked complacent! Bored. Didn't get off first! But cuz of the lack of commitment HE PUT IN! & the amount busta put in! His mom just died! She was his best friend! Gave him strength! Even though he was counted out!

    • @sandpaper631
      @sandpaper631 8 лет назад +3

      na he was gd because he fought bums early in hes career. when he faced people that wasn't scared of him, he froze.. he was never that good

    • @sandpaper631

      lol its true but. bums made him look good and good boxers made him look stupid. Tyson was good but not that good..

    • @Yomammi84
      @Yomammi84 8 лет назад

      It's so easy and simple minded to say that if you don't know the facts! ..so Where's ur proof? Douglas? Mike didn't train...Holyfag? Mike was incarserated for 4 years & nothing like he used to be in the 80s when he cared!...lewis? Mike was a shadow! And fat! So wheres your proof? He destroyed holmes! Older but wiser! Only man to ko him. And Holmes beat mercer & almost evander 4 yrs later. Tyson destroyed Ruddock, Bruno,( almost beat Lewis) Biggs,(beat Lewis) Spinks, ( an unbeaten/ a man who beat prime Holmes! Twice!) Alex stewart( almost beat holy) wats ur excuse?

    Fighters of all races have ended up broke. I don't know if it's because most are from poor backgrounds and they are not used to handling money so they don't put enough by for a rainy day. It is a shame because it's too hard a sport to end up poor doing it!

    Evander fought Tyson when Tyson was not at his best that is a proven fact also he had a game plan and ducking down and bringing his head up was part of his game plan not really aloud in boxing to use ur head in that way referee did not see it the 15 time so Tyson did what he had to do biting his ear a bit extreme but hey ho

    Hi, have you heard of "MuscLeader" (have a look on Google)? On their website you will find a useful free video explaining the right way to develop noticeable muscle mass really fast while reducing body fat simultaneously. Kev and many other guys experienced good success by using this approach. Hopefully it will work for you too.
