Great tutorial for dummies. I mounted the windshield om my KTM390 based on the video instead of the Givi instructions. Everything was clear, much more than the IKEA-drawings.
The AF771 fits also on the KTM 200 Duke with making a couple extra angle brackets to fit under the instrument panel and the installation of a small smoked windshield (china made) modified to fit under the AF7711 bottom piece. Also is needed a set of steering handle/windshield brackets which fit exactly on the top windshield holes to make the installation solid. Its a professional DIY job and you must be up to the task. It took me 3 hours to install. It is a great windscreen and it really took of the pressure of my helmet and cut down the noise. The above video is a great help for installation thanks to this OP.
Man, you are a lifesaver! My windscreen came WITHOUT the hardware layout and installation instructions- I would've totally been lost trying to figure out which screws and washers went where. The website didn't even have a downloadable version, just the stupid adjustment pics that any moron could figure out anyhow. And, you did an excellent job explaining which was which, and then how they went together. Only thing I would add is, be sure to tighten the two 3mm screws that go on each side of the GPS mount tower BEFORE you put the lower windscreen on- otherwise it's really tight trying to get in there to tighten them! Thanks so much, you just made my Friday evening!
Ordered mine last night. Ive been researching windscreens for a while. This one really makes sense to me. Cant wait to try it out. Thanks for the review and instruction.
Thanks for showing the install, I’ve just ordered this shield so looking forward to a better on road experience. Thanks again and hello from New Zealand.
Thanks for video. Very helpful, as I just installed it on my 890 Adventure. Right off the bat the two long front screws bottomed out during install. I had to go to hardware store and purchase 30mm length. Other than that, very straightforward. I suspect it was a KTM spec issue, not GIVI. I'm 5'11". In the low setting, the Airflow is about 1 inch above my shoulders, just a little bit higher than the high position of the stock screen. I got some flow right at the top of my helmet. I am very happy with that as the stock screen was sending a massive amount of air right at my ear level, which was very annoying. The Airflow was very pleasant. Increasing the height gave more protection, but I like the low position best so far just because I prefer lower screens. This is a much better design than the MRA spoiler I had on my R1200GS. I am a happy camper so far. I guess I figured out why GIVI blacks out the lower portion of screen. There is a very annoying reflection from the non-blacked out portion towards the outside edges of the unit from my aftermarket running lights. I did not notice any unusual vibration or shakes, but my top speed was only 60 mph. I see in your comment section, you lost a screw. I will have to monitor closely. Have you tried loctite yet? Did it work? Any other issues?
Great install, and I have time to order and receive mine as I too am snowbound. Didn't know of the Givi windshield though knowing the brand and ease of installation I sure am excited. So go snow ;) Thanks for the great video!
Have one of these on my Suzuki v strom 1050, absolutely awesome, selling the bike soon to buy a KTM 390 ADV, was wondering if I could get one for the 390, then came across your video, guess what’s now on my shopping list.👍
Hey, thanks for the video, it was extremely helpful as my Airflow came without the instalation instructions/hardware page you showed in your video. I noticed you are riding a Tenere now, did you replace your 390 Adventure?
I have one on my Africa Twin. I find I like it in the lowest position because I don't like looking through the windscreen to see the road. It definitely helps shield me from the wind. It's also great to be able to remove the top piece for off-road riding. The install is more complicated (but seems more secure) than for the AT. Thanks for the video, I'm thinking of moving to a KTM390, and I was wondering about the windscreen options.
I put one of these on my 890, I knew as soon as it was mounted it was WAY too tall, at its lowest setting it blew the windstream a good 8" over top of my helmet. Meaning looking thru it all the time was how it was designed to work. A 220 dollar mistake on my part. Im 6 foot tall and this shield is built for someone closer to 6' 8" tall. Several other YT reviewers have said the same thing, while some only say "Its Great!". Its only money.
So the million dollar question is, How Do You Like it? Are you happy with it? Would u buy it again or look for something else? Any buffeting? Is the adjustable worth it or is the touring model the way to go??
Thank for your video, helped me with the installation.. Did you figured out what for is the two black spacers #10? I don’t understand where to put them..
Hello, thank you for sharing your installation with us 👍. I wonder what your thoughts are after trying it - 1. airflow/buffeting? 2.vibration of headlight & tft? Thanks, John
Thanks for the video, I just bought that windshield and installed today. How tight should we make glass connection ? as far as I see from your video, you tighten pretty hard, wouldn't it harm the washers ? I mean the main glass to metal part connection
Awesome Video! Do you have any updates after a season of riding on how you liked it? On the fence of whether to order this windscreen or the puig touring for my 390. Thanks!
Hi Gerald. It definitely helps, but I do notice buffeting that vibrates my head around. So not a perfect fix but better than stock I’d say. Thanks for watching!
Good video and information. Do you happen to know whether there is an advantage of this w/s over the Mad Stad? I’m considering one or the other and not sure which one is the better bet. Thanks.
Hi Don. I’m not sure but I like the ease of adjusting the Givi with the two little flip toggles. I can’t comment on the wind protection since I haven’t tried the mad stad.
Hey mate. Looking at purchasing the AF7711 and I'm wondering if the D7711KIT (Mounting hardware) came with your AF7711 or if it needed to be bought separately. Cheers.
Sir , after installing this does your head light unit vibrates more than usual? Because I have installed a different brand visor and it shake when I go off-road. nuts are getting loose.
Hi Matsete! I should be out on the road in the next few days to test out the windshield. As far as color options, I don't believe the Airflow is available with other options. Givi of course does make other shields with smoke options.
Came to see the same… I’ve got the Sport smoked screen right now, and the buffeting is horrible. I’m looking at alternatives that aren’t incredibly expensive, and this may be an option since I have the bracket already.
Hi Small Time Rider! Yes, I think it will. But in a few weeks when the roads have no snow (hopefully middle of March?) I’ll get out and test it and I’ll make a review video. I’ll make sure I include comments for taller people like you. Please subscribe so you know when that video is out!
Hi Hendra! The windshield was 127 Euros, plus shipping. You can find it here: www.carpimoto.com/en-CA/51136_AF7711-GIVI-Airflow-Sliding-Windscreen-for-KTM-390-.htm

Great job on the install video. Looking forward to hearing how well it works for you.
I just mounted mine and I really appreciate your video. It highly helped me. I will try it this afternoon!!! Have a ride!! 🔥🔥
Glad it helped, have a great ride!!!
Thank you, just got mine, I will install it tomorrow, thanks for the tips and tutorial very well done !
Great job we are also new. We are watching! Keep going.
Thanks so much. I’ll get a couple more mods done and hopefully the snow will clear enough to get on the road in a few weeks!!

Nice screen and install !! I will have to check Givi out as that is a much better than Puig one i have for my 390 duke .
Thanks Vance. I do like this windscreen. I’ll be out testing it in a few days to make sure it really works :)
Thank u for share, you save me a lot of time
Thanks for the vid
Hello, thank you for sharing your installation with us 👍. I wonder what your thoughts are after trying it - 1. airflow/buffeting? 2.vibration of headlight & tft?

Looks great
Thanks! Looking forward to testing it out when the snow melts :).

Hi! Thanks for watching. I snugged them down fairly tight and no harm done. Everything works great!
Very cool. What’s the width between the two sliders?
Please let me know of any additional upgrades that you’ve tried..👍

Hi Don. I’m not sure but I like the ease of adjusting the Givi with the two little flip toggles. I can’t comment on the wind protection since I haven’t tried the mad stad.
Is the wind protection with the givi adequate? Approximately where does the wind hit the rider? Over the head?
Thanks.
It actually hits my head high and causes some buffeting. So not a perfect fix. I actually like it adjusted lower to avoid this.
Hey mate. Looking at purchasing the AF7711 and I'm wondering if the D7711KIT (Mounting hardware) came with your AF7711 or if it needed to be bought separately. Cheers.
Hi Cole! My windshield came with all the hardware needed for installation. Thanks for watching!! Please subscribe if you haven’t already 😊.
Keep uploading very nice😊😊✌✌
Thanks! I’ll be out in a few days testing the windshield and grips and hopefully getting some nice footage of beautiful Kootenay Lake :)
Some givi windshields come with a rubber trim piece that goes around the windshield. Do you know what the purpose of this is?
Sorry, not too sure of it’s purpose. I’ve read it’s aesthetics, but that could be wrong. The Airflow does not come with a rubber trim piece.
Do the locks seem to keep the screen in place pretty good? No sliding up and down easily? Are they metal or plastic?
Hi Shawn. The locks are plastic and yes, they hold the shield in place very well. No sliding at all on mine. Thanks for watching!
So how did theis windscreen work out? Any buffeting?
Please read reply to Don Fast. Thanks for watching and asking!
any update?
Nice one.
Sir , after installing this does your head light unit vibrates more than usual? Because I have installed a different brand visor and it shake when I go off-road. nuts are getting loose.
Hi Hari. Yes, mine vibrates quite a bit as well and I lost one screw already. I will soon do a review and talk about this.
hey man, any updates on the windshield for longterm review? also is there another color like smoke version?
Hi Matsete! I should be out on the road in the next few days to test out the windshield. As far as color options, I don't believe the Airflow is available with other options. Givi of course does make other shields with smoke options.

hi, can you do a review on the Givi airflow
Hi Rahsid, sorry for taking a while with this. Our weather has been terrible this year, but I'll get out there and do the review soon.
Hi , does it really block the wind at 3 digit speed ? I’m 6.2 in height and wondering this will help me on high speeds
Hi Small Time Rider! Yes, I think it will. But in a few weeks when the roads have no snow (hopefully middle of March?) I’ll get out and test it and I’ll make a review video. I’ll make sure I include comments for taller people like you. Please subscribe so you know when that video is out!

@@rockyroadadvHi Great and clear video. Any updates of how it performs on the road ?
