      It’s one of the very few anime the community holds in such high regard! It collectively makes everyone cry every year which is both impressive (and kind of sad-in a good way). ❤️
      If you look at the comments on some of the most popular videos (AMVs or any of the songs from the OST) it’s all people grieving and expressing how amazing the anime is!

    Just watched and finished the anime for the first time yesterday. There’s many aspects of this story which I could relate to my own life. I think that is why the story is truly devastating and heartbreaking to me. I think you hit it on the head, we all just want somebody to confide in, and it’s scary to know that true love is not a guarantee in this life, and losing somebody you love is even scarier. I hope to one day find somebody that I can confide in, but it seems impossible.

    • @Lurichans
      @Lurichans  6 месяцев назад +1

      First: this is a truly beautiful and heartbreaking anime. It does what so many other anime haven’t and maybe that’s bc it’s one of a kind. After all, if everyone started copying the things that make an anime such as this unique, it would start to lose that status.
      Second: never give up on finding that person you can confide in! There is someone out there for everyone, but if we stop looking, we definitely won’t find them. There are a lot of people in the world and finding someone who fits the mold can be hard. When we do find them, we’ll know they’re the one, tho. 🧡

      It's honestly such an emotional anime and I'm so glad the community can at least agree on that!
      The ending is super heartbreaking, but it's also a lesson to be learned: we have to carry on, even in the face of adversity.

    Great analysis and overall good video. One thing I hope u can improve on tho is the transition between each clip. I dont really like how you add and switch to your socials as a mean to transit. It is kind of annoying but anything other than that is done to a high level. Keep it up🫡

      I'll be making some changes to the background during transitions so that maybe it isn't so distracting in the future! Thanks for the feedback, and thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed! ^-^

    It teases a multitude of themes but fails to fully commit to any, resulting in a show that feels hypocritical and lacking substantial development. Your Lie in April is like a jack of all trades but a master of none. The narrative structure is reminiscent of the Violet Evergarden movie (the series was great tho), which also struggles with similar issues. If you're looking for anime about depression and trauma, Sangatsu no Lion is a better choice; for unrequited love, Sakamichi no Apollon is superior; clinical illness is depicted more effectively in Kimisui, and regrets are better explored in Anohana and Koe no Katachi, and if you want all of these then read Orange manga. And in terms of artistic experience, there are better shows like Clannad or any anime directed by Naoko Yamada, Mamoru Oshii, Satoshi Kon, Masasaki Yuasa, Akiyuki Shinbo etc. Your Lie in April, on the other hand, is poorly written, with characters and plotlines that feel underdeveloped and lacking in depth. In my opinion, it's the most overrated anime of the past two decades.

      While I see where you’re coming from, you really have to sit down and look at the anime from the lens of someone LIKE Kousei or Kaori.
      YLIA isn’t solely about the trauma and depiction of suffering-the anime depicts suffering from two very unlike characters and explores the ways in which they cope with their penultimate fates.
      Similarly, the anime also uses music as a metaphor to illustrate the harmony that is found between the two main characters. While the anime does have many themes and doesn’t focus solely on just one, this is also what makes it so daringly beautiful.
      The ability to weave such a careful story is something only a handful of anime can do. While YLIA kind of fast tracks certain elements more than others, by no means should that mean it fails at what it’s trying to achieve. :)

    Yeah. It was impactful. It was so painful to watch just because of how boring it was.

      While it had its slow moments, everything really came together nicely at the end. Everyone will have different tastes and YLIA certainly isn’t for everyone, but I don’t think I’d say it’s boring!
      Hopefully you’ll give it another chance someday! :)
