This is a really awesome battle and all. The Divide et Impera mod definitely made this more cool. However on the accounts of unit accuracy, I will say that the legionaries brought by Caesar in this battle was lesser than the ones brought by Mithridates. A good majority of men were actually *"Pontic Legionaries"* trained in the art of legionary warfare. On Ptolemy's army, they did also have a unit of Roman Legionaries in Greco-Egyptian service called the *"Gabiniani"* . These men were considered as traitorous Legionaries who switched their loyalty from the Senate to that of a Greek King. Majority of Ptolemy's army were a mix Egyptian natives and Greeks armed in the fashion of the Thureophoroi. (Possibly they were trained by the soldiers of the Gabiniani who were experienced veterans.) However I will say that without a doubt, though this is just a speculation, that the main battle lines of the Egyptian army were indeed composed of pike-armed Egyptian natives. It's likely that case because they were far cheaper and easier to train than the Thureophoroi. And when the war began, Ptolemy immediately was able to assemble an army of twenty-seven thousand strong. So there is a possibility that most of the Egyptians were indeed phalangites.
Did they deal with the elephants in quite a different manner as well. If I’m not mistaken and I might have the campaigns mixed up but what I would assume they would do iin one they would do with the other. Nice video man you did a great job!
6:30
when a couple arrows knock down about 20 people like bowling balls
Yeah it's like the were hit with a ballista rock. doh
Idk why Hollywood doesn’t make more movies about battles like this, I’ve had enough of ww2 movies
It would be a blockbuster
At least the reinforcement arrived for EGYPT before CEASERS AND ROME arrives
Playstation needs to make these rome games as soon as possible, and some great greek games too
I played this whole battle out on Hard mode in Rome II DEI, but DEI historical battles are glitched so I didn't even get the achievement. Same with Cynoscephalae. I did however beat the Battle of Alesia on normal mode in DEI and got the achievement for that.
Man this is better than the Hollywood versions
I like cavalry archer op.
- Genghis Khan
CDだから実写では出来ない大がかりな映像スケール大きな映像が見れて迫力有りますね。見ごたえ有ります。
You are the best broo 😎🤟
Very interesting stuff. Whats clear is that after all these years, nothing has changed.
Now we have drones, no more man to man battles.
Thank you this video is great art !

So this is while Pullo is bonking Cleopatra and Vorenus is lying in the tent wishing he'd had the guts for the job :-)
That was really good. Very enjoyable. Well done. Thank you.
The complete package here. Great visuals, animation, scrpit and vo. Superb teaching tool for today's "electronic gaming" students. What better aid to teach?
👍🏻
Excelente película, gracias por subirla.
Don't forget it would be an honor to have served after death as a shield for advancing soldiers. Many were revered in such a manner.
Of couse I liked and subscribed. History makes me happy, especially when done well. I applaud your work.

The good thing about animated videos; dirt cheap to produce and of High Definition.
Interesting would be to see the support crews and logistics they had...
To keep these fighting and running they need water, food and shelter!
I don't think I would have enjoyed being a soldier in those days. So messy! ☹ Great video, though!
