Knocking Out Projects at the Airbnb!

- It's time to get going with getting the Airbnb finished! A little bit of painting and some sanding to start off the final touches! More to come! I seriously can't wait to get this place up and running!

I have to tell you Lauren, I can't get over the difference in the way you look. You have always been a lovely lady, but wow! you look fabulous! Everything is looking good! I think in the kitchen the outlets you replaced should have been replaced with GFI outlets. It's something you might look into.
yes we did on one cause it was previously but the others aren't close to the water so should be good! thank you for the suggestion!

I have always wanted to refinish my baseboards, but always chicken out. SO much work!

Happy you guys are closer to getting the Airbnb completed- you guys have done an amazing job - also you are looking really good - you should feel very proud of yourself- it’s not easy - I put on a few pounds & working hard at the gym & changed my eating habits & the pounds are slowly coming off but not at my goal yet 😅

Im pretty sure that the kitchen outlets on the countertop / sink area have to be GFI. You may want to check that if you need a certificate of occupancy before you list it on airbnb.

It's looking amazing! Just a quick tip. I see you removed a GFI plug from the kitchen and put a regular plug in. Not sure your building code. But if a plug is within a certain distance from a sink it has to be a GFI. It protects anything wet from conducting the energy. Just mentioning it because as a rental people may not pay attention to dry their hands while pluging something in. And you don't need a guest seriously injured. (Unlesd you already made those plugs GFI protected by using a GFI breaker in the pannel). Good luck!
GFI outlets for the kitchen would be best if utilized for appliances. Loving that you chose to get rid of the old fashioned almond color. :o)

Hello Lauren, I wanted to ask you what paint do you like best for painting cabinets? I want to paint ad lighten our cabinets and am just not sure what paint to use. I know that you have painted many kitchen cabinets so I thought I would ask you. Thank You and Iove watching your guy's blog and channel.
I hope you are patching and repairing the drywall where the former moldings were taken off.. probably are. Colors look good.
I would paint all the dark wood or pull off and replace with lighter wood. That’s just me. I like white and light. Your doing a great job.

Are those new tattoos on your arm and and are they butterflies? Beautiful!
I have a hint on storing water based paint for awhile. If you'll poor enough water on top of the paint to cover it about 1/4 of an inch or even more it prevents a skim from forming. Just stir the water into the paint when ready to use it. The B&B is looking grat.
All aspects of the Air BnB are coming together nicely. It all fits together beautifully.
Suggestion for when you’re looking for your touch up spots- I found to walk around with a bright flashlight and a roll of painters tape. I tear off a little piece of tape and use it to mark the spot.
Great results. Lots of blood, sweat and tears, but so worth it. You both should be very proud. Blessings.

You should’ve put two paint cans under the piece of wood with the nails in it so you wouldn’t scratch the floor or or yourself

Why did you leave white underneath your cabinets in the kitchen it looks unfinished.
It doesn’t look unfinished. If you look closely, there is a thin board along the wall that you can see. If memory serves me she did paint under the sink. The white perfectly matches the upper white cabinets. They are and have done a wonderful job and I wish them all the best. I’m not sure you meant your comment to come across as a negative thought but it certainly seems negative. Please don’t be a negative Nancy these kids deserve all the applause in the world for being two dedicated,hard working adults! There aren’t many of those around these days and they make me very proud!
Just wondering......if you plan to rent this out as an Air Bed and Breakfast, could one assume breakfast is included? If I rented it as such, I would expect breakfast in the morning as part of the deal. If not, you may want to rent this out as a short term vacation house. All the BNB's I've stayed in included breakfast in the morning or at lest a continental type breakfast.

Neman(probably spelt your name wrong. Sorry.) If you're wearing Birkenstocks, depending how far gone they are, you need/should get them re-soled. Just gotta find a cobbler.

Ha! Just watched another you tuber who had there’s re-soled while traveling through Texas or was it New Orleans? I didn’t know that was a thing.
@@ontheflipsidewithlauren.neiman Nice. I completely understand. I have multiple pairs. I've never noticed them before until now. Assuming that they've made it in the video. Just as a suggestion also, if the cork is messed up, it's best to go ahead & get a new pair all together. With the new pair, keep on top top of getting them re-soled as needed and also get cork sealer to put on the cork as that park dries out. It's hard to explain but I hope you understand.
@@carrie3206 Are you talking about Leah & Levi? If so, I think he said Texas. Yes, it's a thing. You better if you're on top of it because if you wear it down to the cork, you're better off buying a brand new pair. To do a complete repair is about the same price as a brand new pair.
