- Time to start the dreaded task of cleaning up the clutter that has accumulated over the span of our construction zone of a house! We also found ANOTHER piece of furniture on FB Marketplace!

Love everything else but that bathroom picture might be offensive to your renters and take away from all the great work you put into the room.

You do you, you can't please the whole world. If people want sterile/stuffy/bland/whatever they are free to scroll on to find what they are looking for! Don't you just love how complete strangers will be so quick to be nasty about a piece of decor that has NO impact on their lives? If I saw that in an AirB&B it would probably be the incentive for me to return!
Couple of suggestions. Having owned a B&B, I would suggest discouraging candles (safety). Why not put battery operated candles in those dainty grass candlesticks. Secondly, re .ining your cookie sheets ... if you put your foil dull side up, it is non stick!
the candle was mostly for the final reveal footage to set the mood! and yes! foil is the best on the pans! easy clean up! thanks for watching!

Try roasting your brussle sprouts with a little balsalmic vinegar mixed with the olive oil. So so good.
When you are open to the public, be prepared for plumbing issues. The bathroom sign reminded me of how many times I had to use a toilet snake or plumber at my friend's air b&b. A European family nearly killed the toilet.
If you have South Asian guests you should keep a bucket in the shower and a cup near the toilet specifically for the toilet, or attach a portable bidet - they think toilet paper feels dirty and some like bucket baths. Also a pressure cooker if you end up adding a stove. Only for Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, etc. guests.
I think you should have it as a furnished rent house not an Airbnb steady income renting out both sides long term and you would be able to pay off your mortgage sooner. Alot of real estate agents do that.
I believe we are thinking of Airbnb upstairs and full time rental or traveling nurse on the main floor 🤗
Whatever you decide consider which would be less work for you. Let your money work for you not you work for your money. Love to you both!

I have a airbnb above my unit and I hate the noise that travels thru the floor, tiles over concrete. No amount of complaints can fix it. Timber chairs scraping across the room does my head in. I even bought pads for them but alas, arghh.
Where will you both live if top and bottom units are taken up with customers

Baskets on the wall as decorations are making a comeback. In the late 70’s they were a thing. My parents had a basket business and they decorated walls.

I bought an ugly factory-produced Walmart type painting for the frame, as one does, and the lady told me you know much this is worth, right? Cheap coffee shop or at best staging print with Eiffel tower and Paris in giant letters, you know the type. Not fine art by any stretch. I don't get it, you want my money but control over what's mine once you've sold it? Don't sell then! I think more people need to educate themselves on what good art is. She got nasty when I said I needed the frame.

Didn't realize green was 'trendy' now. For me, 70+ it's been my favorite. Almost any shade. Got to admit, teal & aqua are gaining traction for me cause coastal is the norm. (I live in FL)
I'm not typically a Vlog watching person....but I'm enjoying your creation. You two are your being authentic self and I love it. You aren't trying to pretend to be something you think we might want to see. You are just two very hard working people building a business and a life together and allowing us along for the ride. Enjoy your videos, but my one thought is that you and Neiman need to get a doable master plan and stick with it. It feels like you keep jumping from one plan to another. You have this house that you have worked so hard on and were going to use as an airbub and rental, but now are thinking of selling it. This can't be cost effective for your finances.

Hi Lauren. Really excited about your air bnb. I also watch White Cottage Company and she posted a site that she followed when she was getting her bnb readly to rent. There are some really good suggestions on what things you may want to provide to your customers. I hope it is helpful to you and I wish you great success in the future.

I never pre heat my oven I just set it for 3 or 4 extra min…😄
For a lot of things that won’t make much difference however for baking and things like a pizza preheating does make a huge difference Nd can make the difference between something turning out great and not so great :)

Glad you are providing knives for air b&b …..we stayed in one last Fall, no knives, no spatula, dollar tree can opener that broke! Big kitchen, no supplies! We had to go to Wal Mart and buy supplies. Oh and no muffin tins
not sure if I will provide muffin tins but kitchen essentials will be provided for sure!
