I really like crackled candle shades, I use Yankee candle, is there any reason for me to quit using the crackled glass shades vs. the toppers?? One thing I did learn is I believe I’ve been cutting the wick possibly 1/8th of an inch, and that isn’t creating enough heat, to burn evenly.👏👏 I did try the aluminum foil method, but not certain how long. Will the foil help to prevent further tunneling?? I guess I shouldn’t burn my Yankee candles more than 4-5 hours a day, I’d been burning them closer to 6 hours. Thanks for all your advice 🥰
I made a mistake. I lit my candle then it melted for about a minute then I put it out. Now it has formed it's first ring very very close around the wick.
But once you melt the wax with the hairdryer, the wax level will be above the wick right?
Pour off the melted wax
May i ask whether there are different size of candle toppers?
I believe there are different sizes! I got mine from Amazon

How long do you keep the aluminum foil for?
How long did it take you to do the hairdryer method?
It took about 40 minutes to completely fix it. I do think with a heat gun it would have been faster!
@@holisticjourneywellness, great idea, what do you do afterwards to even the wax
Get a heat gun takes like 1 min. So much faster.

I just made my first candle and it tunneled really bad in the middle... IDK how to fix it.
Maybe try the aluminum method
The tinfoil fixed it. Thank you!
