You would think that, I had a woman road rager try to pass me, im in the left lane, she in the right lane, she came over, struck my vehicle, pushing me into the median, she then took left lane, and refused to stop, I chased her 25 miles while on 911, with police, she only pulled over when a waiting trooper caught her , with me following her, SHE CRIED, LITERALLY, TO THE TROOPER, SHE WAS SCARED, THEY LET HER GO, NO CHARGES, NO TICKETS, NOTHING SIMPLY BECAUSE SHE WAS A WOMAN AND I WAS A MAN, so dont count on it
My mom was a 911 dispatch for 14+ years. Dispatch has an incredibly high burnout rate and my mom was a rarity for being in her position for so long. She loved helping people - but it eventually became to much and she quit. One dispatcher will often be handling all traffic per incident/handling multiple agencies/help fielding associated 911 calls that may occur. She may seem repetitive/annoying but she is keeping agencies notified and making a clear record for any court case that may occur. 911 operators are treated and paid like secretaries, yet they have high rates of ptsd and build walls to hide emotions since they often can not talk about their work. It's tough and I hope change comes to help them more.
Let's hope all the negative comments about the Dispatcher read this. Thanks "Mom" for your service, yes high stress, and I hope she is doing better and either retired or has another job.
I was never a dispatcher but I was a paramedic for about 10 years and when I was a medic in NC I saw a lot of bad calls. A medic was usually considered either a white cloud (didn’t see a lot of bad calls. Most calls they see are minor calls), black cloud (has a history of seeing a lot of the severe calls), and at times a gray cloud (gets a mixture of good and bad calls). When I worked in Florida I was mainly a white cloud but when I worked in NC I was a black cloud and some coworkers said I was a shit magnet and one said I was “the atomic shit magnet) because I saw a lot of really bad calls such as bad car accidents, gun shot wounds, cardiac arrests, major heart attacks (I had clusters of those), and so on. One of my worst calls was for a 3 year old boy who was accidentally run over by his father when he was backing up. He had 5 children and he saw them all playing basketball when he was about to back up his truck and leave. All of a sudden he heard and felt something unusual and heard at that time his children yelling at him to stop. As he backed up his bumper knocked him down by the shoulder and one of the tires ran over his head. He was alive when we arrived but as I intubated him (put a breathing tube down someone’s throat to put them on life support) he went into cardiac arrest. We did CPR all the way to the hospital but he had no chance of survival and he died. I watched as 2 nurses were escorting the father into the room and he could barely walk he was so overcome with grief. After these type of calls the county would bring in counselors for those of us who needed them and it was only myself and the dispatcher (we were the only 2 females involved. My partner didn’t want a counselor nor did the first responder that was there and who drove us to the ER). The dispatcher said that when the call came in all she could here was a female screaming and then the call hung up. I guess about 30 seconds later another call came in and she found out the severity of the situation. Any calls with children can be bad and be traumatic whether it’s a dispatcher or a medic or a firefighter, or police officer but in a way it’s worse for the dispatcher because they can’t be there to help with the situation and after they hang up that’s all that they hear unless we update them and sometimes we don’t know the overall outcome after we take someone to the hospital. In the rural counties I worked in we usually could get updates and it was in those countries I usually had updates. Her hearing the mother scream on the other end must have been traumatic. Being in my position was very traumatic and I know it was for her as well but dispatchers don’t get the credit they deserve. Even EMS doesn’t. Both jobs are underpaid for what they have to go through.
And, with that type of endless STRAIGHT road, there aught to be a few slalom bends every now & then to keep the drivers alert (as I'd nod off with them dead straight roads).
This is the shit I deal with every day driving in Albuquerque. It’s so frustrating and scary. I fear for my life every time I get behind the wheel here. So thank you to the cops who are doing this I wish Albuquerque PD would respond this quick.
I appreciate what you're saying. I drive here in Florida. Traffic has gotten really crazy post COVID and road rage is a more common thing out on our roads. I try to stay in the slow lane as much as possible give speed demons room to have their accident somewhere else. Never understood why people feel they have to be at max speed or more all the time. The speed limit is just that , the limit. You adjust to the conditions of traffic, weather etc out on the roads. You want to exceed the speed limit? Have at it. I'll see you down the road stopped by LE getting a fat citation.
So the dispatcher said that he “wants to end himself because he is being followed”. Maybe if he wasn’t driving recklessly with road rage he wouldn’t be getting “followed”. He was the aggressor and yet he makes himself to be the victim instead of pulling over and most likely taking the ticket. And after he crashed he says he is “sorry”? No he isn’t.
We’ll the news have other stories they have to cover this chase was over an hour long they don’t usually post it that long unless it’s “breaking news type”
48:22 That cop has the patience of a saint. I'd be so tempted to say, "Nothing has changed. We're still hauling ass. There are no cars, because this is the emptiest state ever. It's still nice out. If anything changes, I'll tell you. Now, stay the fuck quiet and let me drive.", but he just goes along.
Make it automatic 20 year sentences for fleeing/resisting and/or obstructing and your country will see a dramatic decline in this ridiculous reprehensible behavior.
@@matthewpohl6272 you are unfortunately correct. Most people who do run are either felons already, have active warrants, or are so high on drugs they don’t know this is real life and not a video game. No one runs for fun, it’s either drugs or desperation to avoid accountability. I personally think felons are way more dangerous, drug addicts usually give up almost immediately after they crash. Felons are the ones who won’t think twice to pull a gun out and start shooting at the officers…leading to death. They’re also the ones who will run over anyone who gets in their way which includes innocent bystanders.
One thing I will never understand is they won’t let them pit the guy over 35 miles an hour but yet this guy is willing to go head on with an innocent person at a 100 miles per hour potentially take both their lives instead of just pitting the guy risking taking just his life… 🤦♂️ i mean am i wrong or crazy for thinking that?
@@Boyso5407 I have watched a lot of the pits and only one time was the officer badly hurt. That time his bumper caught on the undercarriage of the vehicle he pitted. The persuee was killed and the officer was hurt but recovered. The officers car went airborn and took out 2 utility poles.
Seriously this guy was suicidal and it took forever to get clearance from the NMSP Bozo Commander to PIT. Then they reach out to other agencies for assistance to "Set out spike strips, but don't pursue the vehicle". Next time, they should call the Arkansas State Police and they would have ended the pursuit within the first five miles. It's was ironic when the Commander is still thinking, Is it okay to PIT? When the backup NMSP struck rear right quarter of the lead troopers car and just about PITTED both of them out.
They don't have as many officers. If the cop pit him while alone and disabled his own vehicle, who would pursue the suspect? There's method behind the madness.
He had back up, two other squads. There’s the madness and with a spineless Commander who is lucky to walk and chew gum at the same time, was the icing on the cake.
@J4TiDotCom yeah ok, who fleeing will be driving under 35mph. To my understanding, they don't need permission to PIT at that speed. Thus, the Sgt was essentially not authorizing a PIT.
@ tom fuelery wowza you're right i'm only 22minutes into the vid and i'm like sheesh lady do you need update every 5seconds @ lynn nelson actually you do have a point each county and city operate on separate diffrent frequencies so
I'm guessing the NMSP don't have a 'PIT' policy; had this joker tried running like this in Arkansas, the ASP would've put a stop to it at the 4:42 mark.
Nothing like a good ASP PIT where they hit the ditch doing 130 and then end up flying half way to the moon. Have to figure out how to get to that crushed Nissan Altima/Dodge Charger 30 ft up in a tree.
One hell of a run.. this is one adrenaline rush i would not care to have. what a video. very lengthy but glad the whole thing was posted. Glad everyone was safe. especially you officers.
Idiot keeps saying, “I don’t know!” For someone who’s been doing a Multi-State Psychotic Bender, he sure knew enough to keep driving. All he had to do was keep consistent with his MEDS!!! With all the services to aid people like him, he KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS DOING..!!🇺🇸
Meds make people feel like they’re cured and they think they don’t need them anymore. If you don’t have any experience with mental illness, don’t speak on it. And aid? In this country? Lmao. Idk which United States you live in, but the one the rest of us are in has a joke of a heath are system, mental, physical and psychological.
Most people with some kind of psychosis don’t realize it and don’t feel the effects of the medications and can’t understand why they need to take them, so they don’t. It is a sad reality, but it’s true
This is my State and it makes me sick that they let this pursuit go on so long. His supervisor took way to long to make the call. This is BS. Like his story.
The dispatcher was a huge pain in the butt, continually asking repetitive mundane questions! If she was being directed to ask those questions, then she is fine but the person directing must have been a brand new sgt. with no appreciation for the officer in pursuit.
Anyone else having their coffee while watching and trying to wipe away the spill of it on your screen? Oh..wait...it's his windsheild...haha. Made me cross-eyed...
I've seen a lot of these videos but never have I seen a witness be so detailed and accurate. So many times they makes guesses or over hype things but this witness is the kind of guy that makes me proud.
Don't get your hopes up, this is the first time the dispatcher has been on for so long asking the same questions every 1/2.minutes and lve been watching ARKANSAS S.T for a long time..
That dispatcher would seem to interfere with a troopers logical thinking and actions process. I would be pulling my hair out or cussing up a storm having to deal with her. How can he even think? They should have let him pit that vehicle and stop the nonsense and then give the dispatcher a break and the trooper an award for putting up with that crap. I can't finish watching, she is driving me crazy.
That's only for the rural areas. The City of Albuquerque officially has 720K people, probably more like.750K if you count all the homeless, panhandlers and undocumented people, and the drivers in that city are statistically more dangerous than nationally. In fact years ago some of the national insurance companies pulled out of NM entirely because their drivers are too dangerous and were costing the companies too much. We have overpopulation and stupidity and MS13 gangs and drugs too (don't forget we're a border state) as well as a higher adult functional illiteracy rate, and a higher childhood food insecurity rate of 2/5 as opposed to 1/5 nationally. And if you do get hit by a driver like this guy, it won't be so peaceful when you realize there aren't any emergency services anywhere close to you, either ambulances or hospitals. You may see fewer drivers on those rural roads, but the ones you do see can be more dangerous drivers including drunk drivers.
This was beyond pathetic... They waited So long... they wound up doing more damage to their own police vehicles than if they'd have just PIT him an hour before....Were they waiting for him to run out of gas? Oh wait... the police cruiser almost did.. by the time they finally stopped, it was 5 miles to empty... How do they expect the police vehicle to return with no gas? Cook in the sun in the middle of nowhere waiting for gas delivery? was this just a scenic tour of nothing? Taking over an hour to stop a pursuit is pathetic... Arkansas would've had it PIT, waited for the tow truck & had their paperwork done & been on their way to lunch before they decided to PIT.... Heck, they could've called in a Swat sniper, had him leave home, drive to the airfield... hop in the local news chopper & flown out there & shot out a few tires or the radiator... flown back to the airport & gone home in same time... lol... this was sad.... Time for a policy review... Any officer that rural.. should be allowed officer discretion to PIT...Now they have TWO damaged police vehicles. there was a ridiculous amount of safe area to PIT it & ended it early...this was Pathetic & the Supervisor that repeatedly refused to allow a PIT is the aggravating cause. Respect to the citizen at the end that stopped to offer his equipment to get the vehicles outta the ditch or help.
This is the result when a NO PIT policy is put in place. The officers can’t pit without a supervisors approval. It’s dumb in my opinion but Arkansas state police is lucky to have a pit a soon as possible policy. New Mexico’s no pit policy came from a study on how often pits are fatal to the driver and or passengers. Because NM justice system is easy on criminals then don’t want them dying. Stupid policy but oh well

@@nmbodycam you're correct, it was the department policy fault.. as well as the supervisor refusing to allow it to be ended early on when requested... the end result of damage to their vehicle or injury or death from being pitted is a Moot point... when a criminal is given sufficient time to make it obvious that law enforcement is behind them with lights & siren, or they make any movements to flee or elude... they accept all liability for whatever happens... they CHOSE to not stop... therefore they accept the consequences... Even if they have a medical issue... it's THEIR medical issue.... by them not stopping & driving dangerously.. they endanger innocent civilians that don't' have issues... the innocent have a right to safety more than the criminal refusing to stop. Don't get me wrong.. this wasn't the officers fault.. it was very poor policy & supervisor decision making... and now they have TWO smashed up police vehicles, and out of gas in the middle of nowhere... Keep in mind.. these were State Troopers... not local cops... State Troopers should ALL have the training & authorization to use their judgment as to the viability of PITs... this could've ended 45 minutes sooner & no damaged taxpayer vehicles... The officer had his hands tied (cuffed lol) Respect to the citizen at the end that stopped to offer his equipment to get the vehicles outta the ditch or help.
I totally agree. It’s a stupid policy that is actually causing more harm than good. I think the all agencies should have the same pit training and policy as Arkansas state police.
They couldn't put the van while alone. Had they disabled their vehicle an hour earlier while alone, who would continue the pursuit? It's so easy to run your mouth. Think first then flap your tater munchers.
I was so impressed with that officer, especially when he was talking to the perp. He has such a calming voice and manner of speaking. God bless all those guys. 🙏🏻🇺🇲💓
I don't think so buddy he risked people's lives by turning this guy into a projectile imagine if a kid got hit I don't like it when kids get hurt or anybody else this cop should have gave it up he just wants a trophy
I think it has to do with the long radio signal travel distances. Noticed that the dash cam is officer 1, but the audio is from body camera of officer 2. At the beginning you can't hear any of the transmissions from officer 1, just what the dispatcher is repeating. As officer 2 catches up, you can start hearing officer 1 more and more clearly.
Incredible that nobody got killed or seriously injured. I just replied to someone on here and mentioned how scared the poor lady must have been that made the first call. I'm glad the officers caught up and saw that she wasn't exaggerating at all. I'll never understand why people who are mad, or afraid, or suffering from something or other can't just pull over and stop to diffuse the whole dangerous situation. This guy said he was being followed by agents and he was afraid. If those agents are that determined and good at what they do... my thought would be to stop and let them take me rather than let other innocent people get maimed or killed. Hopefully he gets the help he needs and is never allowed to drive a 4,500 pound weapon at people ever again.
Wow, just before setting up for the pit, the cop hit another cop passing him. But the road rager actually helped pit himself by weaving back and forth. All cop had to do was get the front of his car in there and boom, off he went.
This was one of the best videos I’ve seen regarding these high speed police chases! Well done officers and I’m so glad no one was hurt! Definitely text book moves, with the exception of the collision between the two officers. 😬 Again, I’m glad no one was hurt!
Avoid the road rage. You may feel like a badass in the heat of the moment, but as soon as the adrenaline wears off, you will be regretting it, especially when you see those flashing lights in your rear view mirror.
I truly respect these guys and after watching several of these videos, they are professional and no nonsense! Too many people speed on I-25! This guy was nuts!
This poor officer did EVERYTHING with no help from any other agency. I feel so sorry for him, not only trying to keep his eye on the car, but having to report it all too. I don’t think this was very fair to him.
The problem law enforcement has now is staffing. Many of these small towns have only 2 or 3 officers plus a Sergeant on duty on any given shift. And these officers are going from call to call and are usually not available to help. Go do a ride a long with your local police, it will be both interesting and informative.
The dispatcher was so confused when they exited before reaching the “Spotch Stix at 419”. You can’t miss how disappointed she sounded when she heard that they existed at like 415! Not sure why the Spotch stix got deployed over 20 miles down the road??😊
I believe that the dispatcher is a relay between different departments and frequency of radio so she has to reiterate everything so all involved con hear what is going on
@@antoniobranch being out in the field is even more nerve-wracking. I understand they need info to relay to other agencies but stop talking so much. He didn't need examples and he didn't need to repeat the weather and road condition every 2 minutes. Had he wrecked or started a foot pursuit or even a shootout, he needs to let dispatch know. If you ever been a dispatcher, you would know this.
@nick29 I worked for a police department for thirty years (just retired). I should know. Many officers would rather quit than go to dispatching. I've witnessed it.
Hats off to the dispatch lady throughout all of this. Very professional. Seems like they'd have the technology to connect all electronic devices such as location and vehicle condition, radios and dashcams so all of the pertinent information is streamed directly into dispatch and to supervisors. I guess we're close to that time but not just yet?
The 911 call the suspect made to dispatch telling them he isn't going to stop -- the really sad part is, if that happens in my state (and it does), dispatch will usually order the pursuit be terminated. And in completely unrelated news, the overall crime rate in the state has doubled since the passage of that law.
Schizophrenia is a terrible thing. There really is no hope for this poor guy as medications will not help him. Some jail/prison time will protect society for a while.
21:25 Sweet background noise. Dispatcher advises the suspect is on 911 and says that he wants to kill the officers followed quickly be the bolt racking a live round on the officer's assault rifle. Officer smiling and thinking to himself, 'Uh, yeah, I got that. Tell him to pull over and we can discuss his desires.'
I missed that; I was too busy jumping ahead. One stretch of highway looks much like another at 110 mph. Wants to kill the cops? Definitely time for a PIT.
My primo is a stater hhis namr a is Wayne Alcon he’s out of Las Vegas New Mexico.. I support this channel full heartily. God bless the families and all the cops that serve and protect. Lord I pray a hedge of protection about them and ask you to please watch over each one of them in Jesus name amen
@@justtubing767 It’s a police chase in the middle of nowhere. Things are not going to change every 20 seconds like this dispatcher keeps asking about. If something does change the cop will let her know. How about letting the cop do his job and concentrate on the pursuit. He spent almost as much time answering questions from the dispatcher as he did chasing the guy.
@@Boyso5407 it's meant to keep them from becoming complacent and in a zone. Some of her questions were superiors coordinating a response down the road. In a pursuit, he can't just sit and drive. The communication has to be frequent. This guy was only sharing what she asked for instead of what was happening.
I think he should have to go to court and be charged (to include finds, jail time & loss of driver’s license) in every state he drove this crazy in…then and only then should he be released…
Clearly this guy has mental health issues and needs help. Locking him up in jail will not accomplish anything, everything he said indicates paranoia and conspiracy theories. Hopefully he was evaluated by mental health professionals….. sad situation
They should have known it would be easy to get this idiot to take himself out just by showing some determination and getting on his ass (watch 4:42). I will never understand giving people like this more time and opportunity to hurt or kill innocent drivers. PIT them at the first chance and show some determination and yes, even desperation to get them off the road. I sincerely hope that it was actually his vehicle and not stolen for a change...and I hope his insurance company declines to cover him because he initiated the events that led completely avoidable damage AND I hope he is made to pay for the damage to the police vehicles plus jail time and fines (I hope).
Policy is why they can’t pit. NMSP officers are not allowed to pit without approval of a supervisor. Thank the politicians for that and for being more worried about the criminals than the innocent people on the road.
When i was a trucking dispatcher in Atlanta. I got a call from Fontana CA. P.D. saying my driver had shot out the windsheild in the truck. He told me helicopters had followed him from Albuquerque NM to L.A. C.A. and he shot at someone hanging on the truck hood. Drugs & fatigue do strange things to the head!
They also have to think about the safety of the other drivers on the road and get him stopped safely. What would be your way to solve this? Calm and collected, and waiting for the perfect moment to strike, or being irrational and getting killed?
@@onthegrind5977 - Me? I'd ram his vehicle into a bridge abutment or since this is the middle of empty dirt lands run him into a tumbleweed ditch hoping for a rollover and fatal ejection. How would you handle it?

We were traveling on I-40 from NE Texas to LA in Sept 2021 for my Mom's funeral. Bf was driving our Hemi Orange 2010 Dodge Challenger RT. We were following a Mercedes and going 130 mph. I told him I hoped the other guy had a radar detector because we didn't. (Even at that speed, we still got 21 mpg). I also told him that I'd like to make it to my Mom's funeral. If we blew a tire at that speed, we'd be toast. The truck traffic was getting a bit too heavy and we had to keep slowing down when they changed lanes in front of us. We finally let the Mercedes go on without us. Though we went through NM, following the Mercedes was in AZ and CA. That's the fastest we've gone in the Challenger so far.
It’s nice when the officers are told to PIT as soon as they can while in NM, State police officers are not allowed to pit without approval by a supervisor and the pit is under 35mph per Policy (implemented by someone who likes to make it easier on criminals).
@@nmbodycam Well just say the PIT was done at the lower speed, or-um, well they were only going 34mph when they rolled twenty-five times..;-) But long before the 35:00 / 35-minute mark _ I'd have emptied both the full clip of the handgun and half a dozen rounds from the shotgun as well, just for target practice eh ? After all - with those empty roads, no one in range except runner, there would have been no harm done if the cop had punctured tires, smashed rear wind-shield, or most of the rear bodywork. Plus - I'm sure with that much lead coming at them, they'd have slowed and put hands REALLY - REALLY high in the air.
How do you know? I saw a video of a chase in Arkansas and it was as long as this video? Unless you have witnessed every single car chase in Arkansas? Please time every time there’s police chasing a person speeding over a 100 mph, you time it and post it on RUclips. Lol.. it’s so funny how anytime there’s a car chase, people in their own state say, “Our cops would have done a better job”, or your comment but add their own state. Lol 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I had a similar issue with a road rage driver. He was mad I wasn't going as fast as he wanted even though I was going over the limit. So he was tailing me and when I tapped my breaks to tell him to back off, he passed in a left turn lane and cut me off. I had to hit the brakes or he would have hit my front tire. So I called the cops and followed him cuz I was pissed and was not about to let him get away with that kind of behavior. The idiot was weaving in and out of lanes and cutting people off so I followed from a distance and he actually drove home instead of trying to make sure he lost me. I was parked down the street and when the cop came I told him what happened (in tears because the adrenaline wore off and I realized following the idiot was a bad idea and I didn't have good control of my emotions back then). Officer had me meet him at a gas station for a report and told me the guy said I was stalking him and that I was on the phone. He laughed at the guy because 1. No way I was stalking HIM. I had no idea who he even was, and 2. I was on the phone with dispatch because of his stupid behavior. Then the guy started going off on the cop saying things like, "some cop you are, you need to do more pushups and not look so weak." and was even swearing at him. I don't know why he thought that would help his case lol but I gave the same report I had given the officer earlier and they took the guy to court. I don't know what happened after that and I don't care. I'm sure he at least got a few citations. Don't follow people, especially nowadays since everyone seems to want to shoot people for even the littlest of things. Be safe out there. Edit: Also, I want to include that I have mental illnesses but I would NEVER act like this. I don't care what situation you're in, you act like this, I don't care about your well-being.
I can't believe how nice this officer was to this kook who was messing with them dangerously for so long.. Taunting the officer. That guy needs to be put away for attempted murder on so many people on the road. He is a menace.
The patience that only comes from the good children of The People. *46:52** Dispatch; “Any changes to his speed and traffic?”* Me as the pursuit officer; “Not a goddam thing has changed lady please shut the hell up for Christ’s sake! I’ll call ya if and when anything changes with his behavior, traffic, weather or if I run out of gas in this bare wilderness without even a bird flying around. I don’t have any updates because it’s not NewYork traffic” 😡 … that’s probably the most action that lady has seen/heard since her job orientation and is putting all her training into use overdoing it.
I’m so glad you said it like that cause she was driving me nuts. I understand that the dispatcher wants to keep up with everything but asking this cop the same questions every 20 seconds is beyond ridiculous. They’re in the middle of nowhere. Most of the time there aren’t even any roads they could take so nothing is going to change. And when something did change the cop called it in immediately like he’s supposed to. Why would you want to continuously bother a cop while he’s in the middle of a high speed pursuit. All she’s doing it breaking his concentration every 20 seconds by asking the same question over and over again. Like you said, this isn’t taking place in some city like NY where you’d be constantly turning on different roads every 10 seconds. They’re literally on the only road there is for like 10 square miles. I’m shocked the cop didn’t just tell her to STFU at some point.
I was more annoyed with the dispatcher than the law breaking maniac. I'd have called off the pursuit and let him go just to stop listening to her ask the same question every 15 seconds.
Dispatch is not helping, asking every 10 seconds what speed and position. Very mentally tiring for the officer pursuing. Policy needs to change on how to stop this more efficiently.

Thank you to your mom for her service. My sis-in-law did this job....very stressful.
Legend has it, traffic is still light, weather hasn’t changed a bit.
And, with that type of endless STRAIGHT road, there aught to be a few slalom bends every now & then to keep the drivers alert (as I'd nod off with them dead straight roads).
@@QUIX4U I actually think that is a federal highway mandate since the start of the system to have a curve or bend at least every 5 miles.
& still is ;)

More clouds in the sky than cars on the road, dispatch.
A miracle no one was seriously hurt-- a really great job, officers.
Shitty job. They should have executed this chase a long time ago. Instead they let him put dozens of lives at risk
Nice work officer, well executed and still calm and collected. What a champ.
"I didn't ask for any of this."
No, you just tried to run someone off the road, ran from police at over 100 mph, and drove recklessly. Not your fault.
Well stated!! So yes, he DID ask for exactly this! Just not in so many words. LOL!
Hes sorry he got caught. They need to throw the book at these people who run. Scared is no reason.
Yeah he need to stop being a clown all his life 🤡
Thank you for posting the full footage, I hate it when the news doesn't show the full footage, and thank you for not editing it very much.

Exactly! But my blood pressure did rise when perp was driving on wrong side of highway😡
😂 It does feel like she's grilling pursuing LEO nonstop. Why do they do that? Seems it would be distracting.
Make it automatic 20 year sentences for fleeing/resisting and/or obstructing and your country will see a dramatic decline in this ridiculous reprehensible behavior.
They did make it a felony, not too long ago.
No it won't lol ... sad but it wont
Only for the people who obey the law. Idiots don't know what the laws are anyway so the laws won't interest them until judge sentences them.😅
We would have to build so many prisons. They tried that with the crack epidemic, it didn't work.
No, you’re perfectly sane! I wonder about the cop higher ups tho!
I thought it was set at 35 mph because any speed higher is too dangerous for the cop trying the maneuver
Wrong.

Yep and same same about ASP.
I don’t think he was suicidal, I think he thought if he headed straight towards oncoming cars, the officer would back off.
Scary that one out-of-control person can use a vehicle as a deadly weapon against the rest of us.
I can't figure out why these officers ask questions and expect honest answers. This guy is trying to pull heart strings and have a pity party.
These vehicles sure get good gas mileage in these 100mph chases!
I can't believe the Sgt didn't give the ok for a PIT even after he tried to kill two people
They were saying within 35mph
@J4TiDotCom yeah ok, who fleeing will be driving under 35mph. To my understanding, they don't need permission to PIT at that speed. Thus, the Sgt was essentially not authorizing a PIT.
I'm convinced that they only pitted the guy so that the dispatcher would shut up.
The Dispatcher is doing her job relaying info to all other Officers.

I'm guessing the NMSP don't have a 'PIT' policy; had this joker tried running like this in Arkansas, the ASP would've put a stop to it at the 4:42 mark.
I just commented same!!
ASP knows how to get it done!!
Trooper Byrd doesn’t F around 😂
New Mexico "You can't PIT above 35mph" Arkansas "The minimum PIT speed is 35mph. The preferred PIT speed is between 100 & 140."
Nothing like a good ASP PIT where they hit the ditch doing 130 and then end up flying half way to the moon. Have to figure out how to get to that crushed Nissan Altima/Dodge Charger 30 ft up in a tree.
A moment of silence for all of the bugs that met their maker on the officer's windshield.
Arkansas State Police would have done a P.I.T within the first mile and stopped this
Yea ole Byrd would have crushed him.
I just. watched ASP pit a runner at 141 mph. No BS.
One hell of a run.. this is one adrenaline rush i would not care to have. what a video. very lengthy but glad the whole thing was posted. Glad everyone was safe. especially you officers.
That was painful to listen to. Status update requests were over the top.

Bullshit 1 hour!! The Arkansas State Police would end this in 1 minute.. Amazing how our states are so different!!
I was thinking the same thing. But not knowing if there are children in the vehicle you have to just follow I'm assuming
I've seen a lot of these videos but never have I seen a witness be so detailed and accurate. So many times they makes guesses or over hype things but this witness is the kind of guy that makes me proud.
Don't get your hopes up, this is the first time the dispatcher has been on for so long asking the same questions every 1/2.minutes and lve been watching ARKANSAS S.T for a long time..
he refused to stop until he thought his life was in danger! apparently, blue flashing lights means slow down and keep driving, in his world
That dispatcher would seem to interfere with a troopers logical thinking and actions process. I would be pulling my hair out or cussing up a storm having to deal with her. How can he even think? They should have let him pit that vehicle and stop the nonsense and then give the dispatcher a break and the trooper an award for putting up with that crap. I can't finish watching, she is driving me crazy.
LOVE NM ROADS. LITTLE TRAFFIC, BLUE SKYS, OPEN THE WINDOW SMELL THE FRESH AIR, TURN UP THE MUSIC, RELAX AND ENJOY THE PEACE AND SOLITUDE

@@timhunt1482 How long have you had this remarkable ability to read minds?
Sounds like NASA donated their old radio equipment to those cops.
That's what it seemed like the dispatcher repeating everything because officers cldn't respond back.
Trooper gets an A for effort and trying to to do the right thing...New Mexico policy gets a big fat F-!!!
Wow, just before setting up for the pit, the cop hit another cop passing him. But the road rager actually helped pit himself by weaving back and forth. All cop had to do was get the front of his car in there and boom, off he went.
The cop he hit, should've stayed back. The officer in this video was in control.
That dispatcher likes to talk probably because a boss is behind her telling her what to ask.
Good job by the officers.
Are the police in NM always so good and professional to everybody like that at all times? Wow!
This was one of the best videos I’ve seen regarding these high speed police chases! Well done officers and I’m so glad no one was hurt!
Definitely text book moves, with the exception of the collision between the two officers. 😬
Again, I’m glad no one was hurt!
Speeding and evading are vastly different
Clearly a dangerous and disturbed person. Kudos to the person who called 911.
First pursuit where the dispatcher talks more than the officers...
I believe that the dispatcher is a relay between different departments and frequency of radio so she has to reiterate everything so all involved con hear what is going on
Dispatching is very nerve-wracking. If you don't think so, then be one.
@@antoniobranch being out in the field is even more nerve-wracking. I understand they need info to relay to other agencies but stop talking so much.
You can bet the military has it. Maybe not the U.S. military but certaimly the Chinese and Russian militaries…
Never assume a suspect doesn't have weapons on them until you can physically verify that once a chase is over!! Just my 2 cents.
I think I would have forgot I was even chasing this guy by now 😂😂😂
The 911 call the suspect made to dispatch telling them he isn't going to stop -- the really sad part is, if that happens in my state (and it does), dispatch will usually order the pursuit be terminated. And in completely unrelated news, the overall crime rate in the state has doubled since the passage of that law.
What? Why would they do that???
Arkansas State Police would already have PIT and ended the chase! It’s insane for them to allow them to continue driving like this mile after mile.

They should have known it would be easy to get this idiot to take himself out just by showing some determination and getting on his ass (watch 4:42). It’s nice when the officers are told to PIT as soon as they can while in NM, State police officers are not allowed to pit without approval by a supervisor and the pit is under 35mph per Policy (implemented by someone who likes to make it easier on criminals).
@@nmbodycam Well just say the PIT was done at the lower speed, or-um, well they were only going 34mph when they rolled twenty-five times..;-)
But long before the 35:00 / 35-minute mark _ I'd have emptied both the full clip of the handgun and half a dozen rounds from the shotgun as well, just for target practice eh ?
After all - with those empty roads, no one in range except runner, there would have been no harm done if the cop had punctured tires, smashed rear wind-shield, or most of the rear bodywork.
Plus - I'm sure with that much lead coming at them, they'd have slowed and put hands REALLY - REALLY high in the air.
Unless they make it to the Tennessee bridge. 😔
He would have been pitted and flipped over in a ditch an hour earlier.
Edit:
Also, I want to include that I have mental illnesses but I would NEVER act like this. I don't care what situation you're in, you act like this, I don't care about your well-being.
I can't believe how nice this officer was to this kook who was messing with them dangerously for so long.. Taunting the officer. That guy needs to be put away for attempted murder on so many people on the road. He is a menace.
911 caller did a really good job getting the information out. It's so flat out there...I need mountains in the distance or I go nuts lol
The patience that only comes from the good children of The People. I know this was tense for you gentlemen and ladies, but again, i was just enjoying the landscape going by, wishing everybody would slow down and take their time. Just as mesmerizing as the first time I saw that stretch of country. Keshi to the Zuni friends, Ya-ta-Hey😊to my other good friends! I suppose I just don't understand why his troubles didn't melt away like mine do when I see NM.
I don’t see an option to translate this to English.
GREAT PIT!!! Great job done!!!!
I don't know why they don't understand the saying " Do the crime serve the time".
Simple ,they just always think they are gunna get away ,but never do !😂
Throw the book at him. He put everyone at risk. People had already called in on him doing road rage. He is making up all that crap. Oh, they are following me. Poor me. I don't trust cops. Poor me.
*46:52** Dispatch; “Any changes to his speed and traffic?”*
Me as the pursuit officer; “Not a goddam thing has changed lady please shut the hell up for Christ’s sake!
The witness at the end has been waiting for this moment 😂
"Honey, why is our van so messed up??"
"Uh, well you see, uh, well, there was this, uhh ... "
Imagine believing you can outrun the state patrol in a mini van!
And it was funny how the driver kept weaving back and forth to avoid a PIT while the officer's car was nowhere near close enough to do a PIT. LOL!
