Thanks very much, my goal is to help people enjoy guitar and jazz :-) I have more videos in production for the Basic Jazz Guitar series and the next one will be out this week.
I like the way you take it easy... my jazz book literally starts lesson 1 with a page of 26 chords you have to memorize. All the while noting that "these are just the really important ones and you're going to need more" 😂
Man this video hit exactly what I needed. I know enough to sort of fake it, but the voicings and explanations you give pull it together. Thank you! Also, your rockin solo on the Imponena vid was sick! It was a nice, very dynamic variation.
Beautiful lesson , I discovered by chance your RUclips channel because I was looking for the chords that Robben Ford uses and I don't know why some algorithm brought me to you. Congratulations you have a great way of teaching. Good music 🥰
what are your thoughts on playing a minor7 chord with it's root on the low E with your thumb and barring the other strings with the index? I just find that way you play awkward but everyone seems to do it. Maybe there's an advantage to it that i should try and master?
Огромное спасибо! Уроки просто ТОП! Жалко что не наткнулся на этот канал раньше и пришлось ото всюду собирать по крупице! Обычно такие знания продают на патрионе)
Yeah you are correct... I guess I just think of those basic close interval versions of the chords as shell voicings even when the 5 is in there. Technically a "shell voicing" does not have the 5
Thanks!
you have a real talent for education people, everything is very easy to understand the way you put it, thank you so much!

If you can play jazz you can play anything
i thought shell voicings were 3 notes. 1. 3. amd 7, leaving the 5 out
