Besaid is such an underrated jewel from the FFX-2 OST, a beatiful relaxing melody with refreshing harmonies that has stayed with me since the moment I first played the game 💚 I already re-recorded this in 2019 but did no video for it, so why not do it again with the new piano hehe. I also ADORE the Besaid theme in FFX, I've always been obsessed with that track but unfortunately it would be hard to make it work as a piano solo piece 😭

Beautifully played! The Steinway sounds amazing.
But more than that, you can really hear how much you've grown as a pianist from that recording 7 years ago-you hold those pauses with so much intentionality. Your 2016 recording is very enjoyable to listen to, but it felt like you memorized the piece, and were reciting it. This recording feels like you internalized the piece and made it your own-it's soul shines right through.

Aww thank you so much!! Glad to hear you can notice an improvement 🥺 I used to play a bit more "violently" and louder, I also think I'm able to control the tempo a bit better now, but of course I hope I keep improving in the next years hehe

A bunch of people sleep on X2 but it had it's good moments. The overall theme of moving on and growing from all the experiences ones had always stick with me.
The soundtracks for places visited always feels somewhat familiar...but its own thing. Say what you will about X2 but the soundtrack is on point.
