@@0whateverlike0 same here. I used to play X & X-2 on my ancient PS2 during my college years. And whenever I wanted to study, I will fire up the PS2 & TV and let the X-2 theme loop at the game start screen. Recently, I got the HD remaster of X & X-2 for the XBOX1X. Not only I get to enjoy the remastered graphics but it is also a trip down to memory lane.
I remember first playing this game in 2003. My son was three at the time. When i turned it on and heard this song...I immediately felt tears in my eyes as I marveled at how incredible beautiful the song is and would look back at my sleeping son. To this day, makes me have a lump in my throat.
Me too... Great times.. I also just sat there and watched my older brother played 10 and 10-2 it was a great way for us to bond together the money I would pay to go back to then
Christopher Lemon I watch my parents play too. But, they hate the idea of 10-2. I don’t know why 😂 it’s like, don’t knock it till you try it. I might get it for them as a present.
Oh so many memories, it would sound weird but this was the first FF that I played and got (though it wasn't bought for me since it was a gift to my sister who never played it)
I remember the first time I heard this, I was in my room. It was close to midnight and I had the lights off...pitch dark. The only light in the house was coming from my little 32inch Tube TV. I'll never forget the feeling I got listening to this for the first time. Nothing but goosebumps and chills went down my spine. Some years later I got to experience it again in HD, and I knew I had to recreate that same feeling. This time on a Flat Screen with surround sound, yet again surrounded by darkness. I'll never forget the time I spent in Spira, and what I felt through this piece. All those memories and more filled the room, like I was experiencing them again for the first time. Time passes too quickly, and everything we know at some point will become a distant memory. Passing us by like waves of light. But it's nice once and a while to be able to relive them like this, through this tune. It will always be a masterpiece. Something that time can never fade.
Dude your description brought back amazing feels which was nearly buried by other trivial memories , i whole heartedly agree , this music is a masterpiece , i will never forget FF X-2 especially for this menorable piece
The only redeeming thing about X-2, regrettably. It was difficult for me to play through the game, even the combat system was cringy. Seriously, "Dresspheres"? I was so baffled by the first fight I almost lost just cause I was trying to understand what the hell. And I don't know why they had to change the characters so much. Yuna and Rikku just got stripped the f*ck down and made into squealing teenage girls. Just... no.
Brings backs so many memories of me running home after school just to play this game. My sister bought this game for me before she went off to college and I would sit and play it for hours. Still my favorite game in the series.
I know everyone shits on this game for many reasons, even myself for ruining the whole theme of X, but goddamn if this isn't one of the best pieces of music in the whole franchise
When that last bass drum hit, as the glowing glyph burst onto the screen, I knew I was in for something from beyond this world. I will always love this game, the characters and especially the music.
Used to start my job at 4am fresh out of high school years which were pretty turbulent. Played this every morning before I drove to work, kept me going.

I just started playing FFX-2 today after beating FFX and wow... This song is..... I don't know whether to be sad or happy. This song makes me tear up but it also gives off a glimmer of hope...
Takes me back to a time in my mind, long before I fell in love and lost that person. A way happier time before I had any responsibility or even knew what life was all about. A time when I could just sit in front of my TV playing Final Fantasy for hours on end getting lost and caught up in the story and forgetting all about the real world. I would do anything just to go back even for a day...
This was the first theme song I ever fell in love with. This song got me thru some rough times...just beautiful. Didn't care for the game much but the song hit my instantly.
When I think of PS2, when I hear the PS2 startup sound I always think back to this, EVERY time I started up FFX-2 I listened to this intro in awe. My best memories are about 2007 in the afternoons after school, coming back home with a bottle of coke and a bag of snacks and listening to this while munching and getting ready before moving on in the story. I was happy back then, and I did not know it.
I was in High School when Final Fantasy X-2 came out... OMG!!!!! I fell in love with this Thems song. Still this day I listen to it every day. Never can get tired of this. Beautiful song. Not gonna lie but, sometimes it make me cry. Just beautiful.
I drift off to peace at mind every time I hear this. It actually bring tears to me because this song this game got me from when my sisters passed away. Time was hard but this blessed me
This was the greatest part of my childhood. This music was so amazing to me when I was a kid and now looking back on it now it breaks my heart to think that time has gone so fast. This holds a very special place in my heart forever.
I never forget I used to ask my mother to hire this game only to listen to the Eternity for maybe half an hour before pressing start. Sometimes I would just let it play in the background. When I first unboxed my PS2 I was so happy I got FFX because I wouldn't have discovered my passion for piano, despite not playing much since University. Literally has to be one of the most soothing piano tracks along with To Zanarkand
I remember seeing the commercial for this game. When my brother bought a PS2, I begged him to buy this game for me. I remember this was my introduction to the Final Fantasy franchise, and this game will always have a special place in my heart. I eventually bought this game again for Switch and then PS5. ❤❤❤
Hearing this as a child, this was the moment I truly began to love music. I listened to this track at least once more before pressing start the first time I played this game.
This game was beautiful and a rare gem. At first, it seemed like a much lighter and pop version of X, but midway through the story takes a pretty dark turn. It was the perfect companion to X.
Just started the game today after finishing X for the first time a few days ago and this theme is already a my favorite X related theme song lol. Ive been obssesed with ff games recently.
This game and FFX were such tremendous memories of my childhood along with other games like kingdom hearts. It brings back so many amazing memories. Depression is something I've been dealing with for awhile and listening to this song Nd others from those games it takes me back and makes me remember the happier times.
Oh man how times have past...from collecting magazines to its release date. Spending so many hours as a kid on this game then getting a copy of last mission for Christmas in 2005.. I still have my piggyback strategy guide from my birthday before the game was even out ...good memories X2 was.

played and heard this music back in 2003 when i first got my ps2. it brings back so much memory and when i listened to it i feel quiet and calm while in transportation
I remember getting out of bed early before school and turn this on and just close my eyes and just take in every moment of this masterpiece ..it’s so beautiful!
Thank you so much for uploading this!! I hate the remastered version, and it can be so hard to find this one. Thank you so much, gonna be listening to this for days.
The first time I popped this game in my PS2 I just had to listen to this for a few times before I could start playing. Still causes chills for me this one.
Can I go back in time 🥺 I wanna be a kid again. No worries about the future and responsibilities… I believe I played FFx2 when I was 8 or 9 with all of my siblings living in one house.. now I’m 26 years old living and working in a another country far away from my family and all of my siblings are married and have kids 😂. Time flies very quickly 😢
This was my very first ff game that I played. When I first played this game at around 9 years old I thought the intro was a real event that actually happened in real life. I was drawn instantly into wondering who these characters are and who was this sad but beautiful vibe that I was getting from yuna throughout the story and also just being in harmony with the music. Playing this before FFX had me wondering for years of who Yuna is and trying to figure out who she was looking for. once I got done beating LeBlanc and her gang the scene took me to yuna dancing so happily once she got her dressphere back. I didn't know what to think but it made me feel happy. After that, they got on the pilot and she introduced everyone and there background. Then it finally got to the point of why and how she became a sphere hunter. These moments really took my breath away and the experience was amazing. Then once she visited besaid Island I wanted to cry because of the theme and find out who these ppl are that some how knew her. (Lulu , wakka and basically the whole island. This is still when i was 9 years old and haven't yet played ffx until the remastered HD version of X & X2 came to ps3.) After this I played this game constantly to find these spheres to help her find the person she has been longing to see again (Tidus). Throughout the game it was amazing to experience because she had so much history and the ppl that she ran back into was a lot. I never finished x2 but was close. After the remastered hd was released (7 years later), I finally was able to experience another great journey and find out more of yuna history before she became a sphere hunter and learn about the rest of the gang of ffx. That game was out of this world! I was now over astonished about wat happened and the events that took place in FFX. The game is a 10 out of 10. So is FFX2. Its just so much yuna went through and to see it all starting with X2 to X was mind blowing for me. After playing X I started to like it more than. x2...but then I started to mess the trio. But both of them are now equal in my eyes. Ppl want there to be an x3, but really theres no need. If u play x2 u would know why.
I wonder if kids these days have ever played FF series since the beginning of time. I was 4 years old when I played FF1 and therefore my journey started.
i remember when i first bought this game i was so excited i went to bed that night and was gonna tell me friend jamie after work the next day i got it we joked how she so reminded us of yuna sadly the next day after work i came home to a phone call that she was murdered took me a long time to play and beat this game but this theme often brings back the memorys and good times we had together may she rest in peace
I have been reading the comments. Each one has their unique story. I know this piece reminds you of your sad memories too but keep your hopes up as indicated in this. Your friend expects you to live your life to the fullest. Breath, value and embrace every part of your life. Be grateful. It will take you miles ahead... May your friend rest in peace. Best of luck 🍀💜

X-2 is the most underrated game of all time.

Breath, value and embrace
every part of your life. Be grateful. It will take you miles ahead...
May your friend rest in peace. Best of luck 🍀💜
Even after all these years, this song still randomly pops up in my head and I have to go search for it. It’s beautiful 🥺
Played this as a kid, was my first PS2 game, loved it
