Metal? Rammstein is an amazing Hard Rock "Neue Deutsche Härte" band, but certainly not Metal. Maybe Metal-inspired but Metal is something else. Sodom is Metal, Bathory is Metal, Iron Maiden is Metal.
Bruder Friedrich Rammstein is metal. Herzeleid was kind of a Rammstein version of industrial metal and since then it has evolved more and more into just Rammstein‘s thing/NDH. Hard rock surely not. Iron Maiden is more Hard rock than Rammstein. 😬 Both on my top 3 favorite metal bands.

He learnt Russian at school (like most pupils in the DDR) as a foreign language and not English. But I have to admit his English - except for the pronunciaton - is really good.
He actually speaks english better than russian. According to his interview he understands ru well and he pronounces 70% of words perfect, rest with GER accent, which makes him sound sexy. but it is hard for him to form sentenses. Cute fact: He lived in Moscow for only a year, when he was 7 yo, so he remembers words, which are important for a kid - TASTY things =)))
sternpio His mother was Russian, I think. They all seem to understand English very well but Richard speaks it the best. Richard lives a lot of the time in New York so it's understandable.
As far as I know he was born in East Germany, East Germany was under Soviet communist occupation. Part of the whole concept was "Soviet Socialist Patriotism" that I reckon was the reason why the Russian language was taught in East German schools.
I really like Paul he's really awesome and his voice is so beautiful , I love have Rammstein has always stuck to its core and not changed how they are as most bands do now. I love linkin park still sad Chester died but Paul was right I felt what he said was true I felt they went away from their core and what they were and missed the older music.
what happened to lp musically is tragic. in my opinion, no one else sounded like them. maybe others rapped but it was not on lps level. its common to find your niche, your style and keep doing that but LP just went off the rails. i was not a fan of mtm, hunting party or one more light. meterora and HT set the bar HIGH. i feel they did a lot of devolving from there. i feel they where listless in the studio and just threw shit together to fulfill their contract. we aren't always batting a thousand at work are we? sometimes we just need to get through the project. their contract was up with OML.
Linkin Park didn't stray away from their core. It's just their core not being metal. That's why they went trendy - they were trendy from the start, when nu metal was in the prime.

It's really a German accent. If I speak English it's sounds also German but a little like my one I speak in Saxony/ Germany. Some guys said it sounds funny :)

Not everybody comes from a country where english is the first language. I would like to see you speaking another language. i think the Bass of ollie is really loosing importance and thats bad.for example look at Heriate mich,before the riff starts completely he only plays whith flake and i really enjoy that secuence and than look at ich tuh dir Weh and try to hear Ollies Bassline througout that whole riff

Paul's English has improved. I remember Paul mentioning on the Rammstein In Amerika documentary that when Rammstein did shows in the U.S., he would be off by himself at parties cause he hardly spoke English.

i've got to agree with the linkin park thing, sometime ago they wrote rock songs but now they even have some light pop songs in there album rammstein just keeps it rammstein (every song has that awesome feel and punch to it) even people that don't speak german know the lyrics and are screeming them as hard as they can that's what makes rammstein amazing in my opinion
