I don't think it's made out of plastic but actually magnesium alloy which is lighter than alluminium and softer to the touch, confusing people to think it as plastic due as it doesn't have the strong metal like feeling present in alluminium chassis. Real differences from this Hp Aero 13, vs the (mostly) commented here Macbook Air M1, from my point of view, that could make you go for the Aero. First - the matte screen, many of us prefer that. Second - more ports. Third - Windows environment, if you already know MacOS is not for you, or that both ecosystems can be good. Fourth - keyboard. good on both, but maybe, better for some of us, with HP. Fifth - weight; even though the Air is light, the Aero is lighter. Sixth - Clipboard option on Windows; many of us like that, that unfortunately Mac doesnt have natively, at least. Both laptops are good, and fortunately, have their differences.
One caveat for anyone who has this laptop, too much pressure on the lid to the keyboard while closed might leave keyboard marks on your screen, permanently.

I have had wifi issues though with poor throughput and dropped connections. Still not resolved and HP customer service, tech support have been -- how shall I say this -- not even close to helpful. I now know more about this machine than they do. I tried to confirm whether or not the motherboard provides Gen 4 for NVMe slot and as far as I can tell it does not. I believe it's Gen 3 (too bad). Do you and does anyone else know for sure? Nice price point for this total package but HP needs to improve it's support and product knowledge.
I received an update to my wifi driver about 3 weeks ago that fixed my similar connectivity issues! Hopefully a similar fix will work on your machine :)
it can also USB-C charge with a 30W brick too
I got a completely specd out one with a 6800u 16gb ram back-lit kb... everything
Off Craigslist for $250
Thing is an absolute monster. It terrifies me when the 15w cpu igpu combo runs minecraft with max render distance without dipping below 60fps.
Great build quality.
Oh and the biggest thing to look for these days with laptops I whether or not it can PD charge.
...most non high end laptops can't and the fact that I can use a little battery pack to charge it all the way up in like 2 hours is a necessity in any laptop.
Just got this for $587 before Tax with free 2 day shipping through a discount I have through work. Can't wait to get it!
It is on Black Friday sale so go get it!
Awesome review highlights the most important features we expect from a laptop.
Thank you for the detailed review!
I'm reading very conflicting reports about battery life on this. Some are saying one should expect around 5h of real time use, others 10. It's very confusing.
One thing I will say for HP laptops of late, sound is better than the laptops of yesteryear. So good for listening to media.
conclusion starts at 12:45
Thanks for the review!
Question: How's the Wifi chip performance in this one? I've heard HP used the Realtek chip in this machine and it is not always consistent...did you notice any signal drops during your testing?
I think this is like the only channel that I don’t skip through the sponsor segments lmao.
I'm using hp envy 13 right now, and it's working so well .
How would you recommend this from 0-10 (0 very bad and 10 very good)
@@fernandot988 10/10 for normal used..
Both laptops are good, and fortunately, have their differences.
thankyou , i just bought this one on amazon sale :)
Mine is ordered with the 1600p display, I have not been able to find any professional reviews of that option but I took a chance on it. We'll see
How's it so far?
I bought it after watching your review
One caveat for anyone who has this laptop, too much pressure on the lid to the keyboard while closed might leave keyboard marks on your screen, permanently.
Should I go for M1 MacBook air or this ? Consider 8+256 for mac and 5600u+16+512 for hp aero
Never get the base model on Apple especially if you think you’re going to keep it for a few years.
That's actually an all-magnesium chassis. Not plastic.
I can imagine an HP Envy 14 with Ryzen 5 6000 and a 3050TI. Can't wait!
Can't recommend this laptop enough, really happy with my purchase. Hopefully it holds up.
any wifi issues? and if i use an usb wifi adapter instead of the onboard one, should everything be okay?
@@oxnyz1883 for me no wifi issues at all.
Excuse me, would you recommend it for a medicine student? I won’t use it for anything besides some very light gaming and studying, but i need a computer that will last a couple of years at least, while performing adequately during that time, do you think this computer fits the bill? I would be getting the AMD 7 processor and 16/512 GB ram and memory.
yes! Even in 2022 it's still a great value. My cousin just snagged one for a little over $700 🔥 (R7 5800U 16GB)
Worth watching
Good job sir
Very cool overview
thank you this was really helpful. but to be clear this runs games like valorant well?
Do you prefer this or the HP Pavillion 14 inch? (AMD RYZEN 5 version)
This video really help. Many Thanks 😊.
How about Acer Swift X
Ryzen 7 5800U with a dedicated GPU 3050ti, 16 Gigs RAM and 512 Gigs SSD, is it worth to buy compare to M1macbook air?
Get M1 MacBook Air.
Not worth it
If you want windows buy the swift x
If you want mac os buy a macbook it's really that simple
There's no comparison when you are picking laptops that run two different os
You have to decide which OS is better for you and pick accordingly
its worth if you need that 3050ti
@@arushh42 Stop spamming.
I don't want this thing get popularity here by any local youtubers because it will skyrocketed its price through the roof.
Is the screen matte/antiglare? How does it compare to a Macbook in terms of glare?
So can you charge via USB-C port if you have the cord? I know it comes with barrel charger but I think you should be able to charge USB-C
Hi there. I am planning to get samsung 65w type c pd charger. Will it charge. I remember before 1 year when I purchased I wanted to make sure it charges with type c pd. Just want to confirm 65w type c charger would work.
hey, i need some suggestions
should i go for legion 7 with 32GB of ram, bundled with (legion armored backpack, m500 mouse, and h300 headset) which is 100 USD more expensive or a legion 5 pro with 16GB of ram bundled with (legion recon backpack, m300 mouse, and h300 headset), and the rest of the specifications are the same
I would definitely pick Legion 7
legion 7, more premium and twice the RAM
I would ask them how much TDP limit is on the RTX. More TDP = better in terms of performance.
Your also need to try MSI Modern 14. It's a very solid budget laptop.
8:14 I have an envy 17 with the same rubber strips, and just upgarded memory and ssd. Actually if you peel off those rubber strips slowly you can put them back in just as new.
How would this stack up against my current 2017 Dell XPS 13 (8th gen, Core i5)? The Dell 9360 has been great, but I'm thinking of replacing it with something similarly portable and hopefully a bit more powerful. I'd be doing Office, DAW (Studio One), and hobbyist-level video editing in Davinci Studio and Topaz VEAI.
does this laptop have windows hello face id? thanks great review
@HARDWARE CANUCKS
What laptop would you buy if you wanted it? Future proof? I want around 500 knit display, 32 gigs RAM half terabyte of storage. Or more? I've been looking at the Lenovo X1 carbon. What would you recommend? I like having all the security on the Lenovo the v. Pro version? Or is there another laptop you recommend? I like good build quality. Like I said making it last for years. Upwards of 10
10 years ?, you're better off spending less but upgrading after 5 years imo
Good for gaming?
Any idea on the to be released Lenovo Yoga 7 Pro (16')? I think it might be a worthy competitor to the already well valued Aero 13.
@@bdsuf Yeah, I got acknowledged recently that it was at least 1300 Euros.
How do you guys measure keyboard actuation force? How many grams is needed to have press of button?
Is it still worth to These days?
Nice video brother
How is the wifi performance I saw in many hp forums, flipkart, Amazon and in hp official reviews Posted that weak wifi signal reception.
Hi there. I am planning to get samsung 65w type c pd charger. Will it charge. I remember before 1 year when I purchased I wanted to make sure it charges with type c pd. Just want to confirm 65w type c charger would work.
According to HP's website the USB-C port can be used for charging, are you sure this is not the case?
Nope doesn't charge
@@akshitthakur3842 what charge did you use? Will samsung 65w pd charger doesn't work with it?
Does it charge over USB C? Please talk about this with every thin and light laptop review.
Otherwise great review
For me I'd still get the Huawei matebook 14 due screen aspect ratio and better speakers
Yes it does
@@jman000 will 30 watt type c cable will be enough to charge this laptop
@@nishatafroj880 Don't have this laptop (yet) but you want to have at least the wattage of the included AC Power Brick it came with. So no less than 45 watts. Someone commented that they use a 65 watt Anker USB-C charger and it charges very quickly for them. Again I haven't tried it myself but it may be good advice. Good day to you.

Hey Eber, what exactly happen in Rainbow Six Siege when a system "Failed"?

Pity this isn't available in Canada yet (except for the lower 8gb model from Costco)
is it good for graphic designing and minor video editing?
I have used blender and photoshop runs smoothly
I know that the onboard RAM comes soldered. But does it have an extra RAM slot though? I'm ready to pull the trigger if it does. the 8Gb RAM ryzen 5 model is on sale now in my country. Thanks

Actually the usb c can be used for charging .
hello is this good for video and graphics editing? i'm a media arts students who's looking for a laptop good for editing. thank you!
Can anyone tell me Pavilion Aero 13 better, or Asus Zenbook14 better? Very appreciate 🙏🏻
Asus Vivobook S14 is better. Zenbooks are pricier because they are more premium, but the Vivobook S laptops are also premium-budget laptops like the Aero 13 - however the Vivobook S laptops are much more reliable because Asus laptops generally survive the longest. And Zenbook laptops sometimes come with software glitches and some design imperfections, maybe because they're so cutting edge, but probably because Asus can't really get their stuff together. I'd suggest you buy a specced-out Vivobook S14 with a Ryzen 7 5700U and 16GB RAM unless your budget allows you to buy something better
Or you can wait just 2-3 months until the new Ryzen 6000 series laptops come out. They will not only have a ~25% faster CPU but also a much better iGPU built on RDNA2 architecture instead of the already 5 year old but modified Vega architecture of the Ryzen 5000 series chips. I'd suggest you wait for that unless you really need to buy a new laptop right now
I purchased this pc and found when transfering files my ssd utilization is 100% and the pc is un-usable but the processsor and other things don't even take a hit at all. My question is if i put the fastest ssd possible in here will my performance at least be better. I think this pc is on pci 3.0 and the firecuda is a 4.0 so i don't know if the 7000mb\s will actually have a significant jump in perfomance. Has anyone upgraded the nvme drive to a faster one and what was you experience?
The complete informer ❤️👍
I am ordering it tommorow, wish it doesn't sell out by then 🤞

Guys, get this if you're in the market for a thin and light. This starts for 580$ on hp site now.
Can it preform best in software like solidwork and cad ect
You stated the laptop was made of recycled plastic, but it’s a magnesium aluminum alloy. Not sure where you got that recycled ocean plastic from…
It also has USB-C charging. That’s too many inaccuracies in one video.
Can i use this laptop for stock market trading?
Yes
HP only offers one with 1x2 Wi-Fi here. Can anyone explain the difference with 2x2? 1x2 seems non-existing on the internet.. And I’m also curious if I could upgrade it to 2x2, or if it’s missing 1 antenna..
weird that on the spec sheet it says the USB type C has power delivery so maybe it can also charge via usb? or maybe its a more recent version of this unit
the speakers are pretty damn good
Please suggest in the future on sub 2000 dollar thin and light gaming laptops
Does it get hot when we connect an external monitor?
