Very nice mate, thanks for sharing, keep up the good work, I think these are a very viable set of pipes, especially for kids and teens, and for those less fortunate.
Thanks for enjoying. I think they are a great set as you say for those who need it but also for people like me who want something different and have some fun. They lock in very nicely, which is critics for me and if I can’t tune my pipes makes piping not enjoyable. I enjoy playing these pipes very much, and that’s what really matters
Yes it is! It’s the sound the drones (the three big pipes that stick out of the top of the bag) make. They are tuned to harmonise the pipes chanter. The use of them is comparable to a cord that you would play on a piano additional to the melody.
I noticed on kilberry bagpipes they had an ad for it with matching ribbon colors. Apparently they made the set and a kilt for an irn bru advertisement. Eventually I would like to have a matching kilt made, as I love orange and blue and it’s a cool tartan
A chanter is in development. The blowpipe, he has made two for me and not loving the length of either. No reason it can’t be done though. We will see what the tone of the chanter is once it is complete
At 1:01 in he pretty much has his back to us, at the very least we can see the back of the drones, and the Chanter isn't exactly pointing directly at the camera to try and cover any sound at that point. Also you don't know where his microphone is placed or if he has more than one. GREAT sound, I've actually printed a set also, and may feature them on my channel, overall I think they are a good set of beginner pipes, and perfect for kids and teens, or someone that doesnt have $1000+ to spend on a higher quality set.
I am baffled by it's sound!!!
I'd never expected 3d-printed pipes to sound this strikingly refined!!!
Amazing!!!
So colorful! Love it! 🤩

Segr geil... Jetzt noch in leuchtenden Filament gedruckt.
Sounds great! impressive sound and playing What chanter is that and what drone reeds are you using in these?
Glad you enjoyed it. Canning reeds with older mccallum chanter
I'm getting 3D printed bagpipes too
Excellent! What color you getting?
I am still practicing to learn how to play the bagpipes this might sound weird but is it normal to make that hum nose what the baggies make

Where did you get that bag cover?!

@@abbaralph2011 love that tartan too, there's a couple tartans I'd love for bag covers but can't find anyone to make them
@@dontbetreadin4777 I imagine bagpipecovers.com can do it
@@abbaralph2011 awesome, thanks! Good playing
@@dontbetreadin4777 your welcome. Glad you enjoyed it!
Blueprint?
I didn’t make them. I ordered them from 3dprintedbagpipes.com the maker is David Stanley. You should have him make you a set. Tell him Ralph Sent you!
A 3-d printed chanter and blowpipe cant be made of the same materials the drones are made of? Or the printer plastic simply doesn't produce good tone?

Seems like you don't turn your back to the camera, which would allow listeners to get the full idea of how the drones sound.
Never thought to do that. Maybe I will make a video one of these days that way. I am mainly making these for fun.
