The most helpful thing I’ve learned since leaving hyper-Calvinism is the fact that this belief, in the desire to not disrespect Gods sovereignty, has made it so the people believe there’s almost no hope for salvation. There is so much inward looking, instead of believing that in spite of our stupidity, God is able to save, and we need to look outward from our depravity unto the grace that Jesus has
Thank you. There is a logical flow and it can only end in what is termed hyper calvinism. How can I be created as totally incapable and still be responsible?
@@oreo9977 Homo sapiens were created " capable " of holding to their perfect state. We have all inherited our "dead in sin, incapable " state through the Fall and the corruption of our first parents. The amazing aspect of our corruption and guilt is the fact that God didn't completely cast humanity aside. He could have righteously "packed up " and left us in planet Earth to fend for ourselves in a hopelessly " incapable " state which would have resulted in condemnation for ALL of Adam's descendants. How in the world can anyone truly born again fall for this strange Calvinist Doctrine? Living sold out for Christ over the past 38 years, after discovering that there is a group of people out there within the umbrella of Christianity who believe such a foreign gospel blew my mind. - Jesus does not love all, did not die for all, does not want all to be saved? What????? - God decrees that a child was abused? - From out of the womb the majority of people are born with ZERO choice, but were created only to glorify God in hell for eternity? - Their leader John Calvin's favorite wood to use to burn those who disagreed with him was green wood? (It burnt slower). - To believe on your own is a "works-based salvation"? What???? - Their god hates most people but calls us to love our enemies? - Anytime you see the word "ALL" and "WORLD" in the bible it always means "elect"? What???? - We are called "universalists" because we believe Jesus died and wants all to come to Calvary? What???? - And on and on and on... I've come to the conclusion that there is zero good news in the Calvinist toxic doctrine. I love Calvinists, just cannot agree with their view of their toxic doctrine. Don't fall for Calvinism. Jesus CLEARLY SAID we have a will to choose. John 7:17... "If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority."

That's also Paul's thesis in Eph. 2:1-3 ; Col. 2:13 Since man cannot seek after God, the Almighty must move the unregenerate heart to align with the Truth. The " will to choose " can only occur once God has graciously and mercifully drawn the sinner to Himself. cf. John 6:37 ; 6:44 ; 6:65 . The clear implication of these three verses is that God does not draw everyone -- consistent with what is written in Romans 9:15 to 9:23. There are vessels fitted to destruction and vessels of mercy. It is the basis of the Reformed or Calvinist view that was embraced 100% by the European delegates to the Synod of Dort in the early 17th C., effectively destroying the idea of a "free will" election. 1:10 minute mark: there Calvinistic view "Man is totally unable, unless God changes his heart" = How is that not fatalistic ???? 5:40 minute mark: "Hyper Calvinist" is fatalistic, "I cannot do anything to be saved" Sure, sounds like they are saying the same thing. Calvinism is fatalistic: there is absolutely nothing you can do to be saved it's all up to God's CHOICE to make you "born again" so that you can believe. Tooo BAD Sooo sad if God did not WANT to choose you. Hyper Calvinism are those Calvinists who have logically thought through the implications of their system.
Hyper Calvinism is just actual Calvinism.
